Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with terrace (35ft long). Air-conditioning throughout, surround sound, central vacuum system and electric shutters. TV and DVD player in living room. Wi-Fi. Patio doors onto the terrace from living room, kitchen and twin bedroom. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and single bay underground garage with lift to all floors. There is a secure garden with pool and play area. Sao Martinho is a great location to spend your holidays. The people are very friendly and there is a relaxed air about the place. It has a sheltered beach which is an excellent and safe swimming environment for children. There are a good mixture of restaurants and bars along the seafront which cater for all tastes. It is a good base from which to explore the surrounding areas.

This apartment was like a home away from home.It was perfect,spacious, clean,bright,neat & modern.It had a complete cutlery set from plates,cups, glasses & wine glasses.The Oven & stove were great.My son who is a chef liked the oven & cooked a lot ’cos it cooked dishes well at right temperature.
The best thing was the central vacuum cleaner.Fantastic.We have stayed in some self catering apartments in various countries & never seen anything like it.This is the first time we see a condominium building that has that feature.It made cleaning a lot easier.The location is a 10 (10 being the highest rank as in fantastic).It's a 10 minute walk to the boulevard where you can have coffee facing the beautiful blue sea.It's also a 5 minute walk to the Supermarket that practically has all things.In total we love Sao Martinho Do Porto.Great relaxing vacation, nice people,nice place,beautiful weather & yummy coffee & croissants.

Great apartment, lovely little town and great people. My wife and I loved the whole experience and are already contemplating returning.
Lovely apartment in a great location
San Martinho is a lovely small seaside town, with a great beach, lots of restaurants and shops. We took the bus to Lisbon for the day, the bus stop was just around the corner, as was a super market, bakery, and internet access in the Tapas bar.
The apartment was well equipped, had air conditioning in each room, although we couldn't get the living room and kitchen units to stay on. The kitchen, one bedroom and living room all had doors to a lovely balcony which was great to sit out with a glass of wine.
Very quiet in the block, was a bit busier at the weekend, and was very well maintained. About 5 steps to get in the front, then another 5 to get to the lift.
The only reason we are giving 4 stars is that we found the double bed to be far too firm, and missed out on a lot of sleep as a result.
Lovely apartment in the best location for the town, and surrounding sightseeing (Obidos, Lisbon etc..). Great fish restaurant rio cortico (Largo do Bom Sucesso (ver mapa) Óbidos)
We rented a car, and parked it just outside, as there were parking bays on each side of the road. There was also a garage.

A vacation with triplets
Great place. Kids loved the pool ( even if they did not use it much since the beach in just minutes away ) , the apartment and the shower.
Sao Martinho is great for families with the horse-shoe shaped bay protected and safe for children. Apartment is well kepted and in a new and quiet complex. Hope to return .
A great flat in a peaceful location. The flat was elegant and well kept. The town is lovely with brilliant walks nearby on the cliffs and sand dunes.

A lovely apartment and an amazing place to stay. Sao Martinho is a brilliant place to take a family - the beach is really safe and the weather was great but not too hot. We caught the coach there from Lisbon and the flat was just 5 minutes up the road. We loved the location of the flat especially - just 10 minutes from the beach but on a really quiet road and just round the corner from an amazing market. We can't wait to go back!
A fantastic apartment and relaxing resort
We stayed at the apartment in August 2013 and had a wonderful relaxing week. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and the air-conditioning worked well when needed. It could have done with some patio furniture to enjoy the large balcony. It is in a quiet location but still close to everything - the Intermarche supermarket is 5 minutes walk away and it is about 10 mins to the resort centre. We didn't use the swimming pool, as the beach and sea were so lovely with the horse-shoe shaped bay making it very safe to swim. Nuno's restaurant on the next street was very welcoming with superb food - lots of the locals eat there.
Activity and Interests
The beach at San Martinho is a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The water is very calm due to the waves breaking further out as they enter the ‘Horseshoe’ shaped bay. This makes it ideal for children to play in. In the summer shade tents are available on the beach. There is also a lifeguard on the beach. A children’s playground is located at the end of the promenade and there are numerous cafes and restaurants dotted along the length of the promenade.
Car hire is recommended.
Lisbon airport is between 1 and 1.5 hours drive.
Porto airport is between 2.5 - 3 hours drive.
Foz do Arelho - 15 minute drive – beach, swimming, sailing, surfing.
Nazare - 15 minute drive - old fishing town, cable car, beach, swimming.
Caldas da Rainha - 15 minute drive - Spa town, two large supermarkets.
Obidos - 20 minute drive - medieval walled town.
Alcobaca - 25 minute drive- large monastery town.
Peniche - 40 minute drive – surfing, nature reserve.
Sintra - 1 hour drive - Pena National Palace, Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
Sao Martinho is served by a railway station and bus services to Lisbon. The market is two minutes walk around the corner. The bakers, butchers, deli, newsagent, internet cafe, and florist are beside the market. The supermarket is a few minutes walk from here. There are banks, cafes, restaurants, take-aways, shops and a tourist office all close by. Riding, surfing, body boarding, walking, paragliding, canoeing and caving are all close by.

- Notes on accommodation: The apartment is finished to an excellent standard. Unfortunately no pets are allowed. Outside: There is a shared heated pool with sun decks and sun loungers which is open all year round. There is a communal room located beside the pool with changing facilities and an area to relax. There is a small children’s play area. The pool and play area are enclosed. There are parking bays outside the building. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are included (not beach towels). The property is cleaned before and after your use. There is no cleaning service during your stay for rentals of one week but this can be arranged at an extra charge. Please ask. Other: Entry to main building via coded door (pin required). Secure underground garage.
