Villa in Tala Village, Paphos, Cyprus - Quiet location but only a 10 minute stroll from the village square

This is a luxury 2 double/1 twin bedroom villa. It has its own pool, patios and BBQ area. Set in a cul de sac of only 5 similar properties. Quiet but only a short 10 minute stroll to the village square, which boasts lovely restaurants providing both Cypriot and English menus, tavernas and shops. Rooms have views to the sea and the pool. The beaches of Coral Bay, the new golf course at Mintis Hills, the old harbour and the nightlife of Paphos are all within 15 mins drive. The ancient Monastery of St. Neophytos is only 10 minutes away. All of the amenities that Paphos has to offer including diving, fishing, golf, horse riding and water sports, are all easily accessible. Paphos is a world heritage site with many historical places of interest. Less than half an hour away is the Akamas National Park famous for trekking and its nesting turtles. The Troodos mountains are an only an hour away.

Having retired a few years ago I purchased the villa so that my partner Joanne and I could spend some qualilty time in the sun. The villa was therefore furnished and fitted out for us.

Why Ray Cooper chose Tala

I wanted to be near Paphos as I love the harbour area and old town. However I wanted to be away from the town and noisy parts but close enough to get to all the attractions quickly. Being in the hills Tala benefits from a breeze in the summer so the stiffling heat of the coast isn't a problem. The village had to be in walking distance and safe. Tala has lots of restaurants and a few shops so it isn't necessary to go to a supermarket for shopping all the time.

The villa is in a cul de sac and so is not going to have any passing traffic. It is also a very small community of villas and not a large development. All in all it was exactly what I was looking for.

What makes this villa unique

The villa is quiet and yet close to Tala Square. The pool is peaceful and with good views.

It is handy for all the main areas we want to visit.

It is south facing and gets all the sun but also has shady parts to sit under the vines that we planted when we arrived. They do have grapes, many of them, but they always seem to have disappeared before I arrive there!

Had a wonderful two week stay in this fabulous villa. It really was a home from home with everything you need for a totally relaxing time. Very well located a short 10 minute walk from Tala Square with its restaurants and Mario's bar and also well placed for visiting Paphos harbour/town and Coral Bay. Would thoroughly recommend this villa and will definitely be returning.

Notes on accommodation: There is air-conditioning in each room which also provides heat if it is necessary. This is included in the price. Plenty of storage/wardrobe space. This villa is great for a couple, a family or several friends who want to be able to do their own thing together or separately. The bedrooms and lounge have been fitted with flyscreens to allow air circulation whilst keeping any insects on the outside. There is a safe for personal items and the villa is fitted with a simple but effective alarm system. The villa has wi fi. Outside: The villa has its own private pool and patio areas. It has a stone BBQ (charcoal or disposable for ease) and separate outside dining table and chairs. There are sun loungers with cushions and parasols. Private driveway parking for up to 3 cars. The upstairs balcony with its views is ideal for a last Cypriot coffee or brandy before turning in. Utility Room: A separate storage area contains ironing board, iron, clothes horse. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided and changed weekly including some beach/pool towels. The pool is cleaned twice weekly. The garden is tended at the same time. Other: At the top of the white marble staircase is a viewing gallery with views to Paphos and the sea. Great place to view the sunset. Doors to the large 1st floor balcony with rattan chairs and table. Outside lighting.

Absolutely brilliant and great location

Booked for a family wedding and holiday with friends. Villa was spotless and the owner Ray and Hanna the caretaker were very accomadating and helpful. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing holiday and is well located to walk into Tala square or travel to Phafos by bus or taxi. Looking at booking again soon just to relax and enjoy.

Home from home

From the moment you arrive you feel relaxed and at home. All creature comforts are there for you. Bring your body and let the sun do the rest. You can eat in as much as you want or avail yourself of the many bars and restaurants that will be only too happy to take the strain and give your partner a break too. Beautiful elevated position looking down on Paphos and Kissonegra. Approx 10 mins from the motorway will get you to most areas of Cyprus. Would suggest hire car is essential unless you wish to use taxis. The villa is everything you would wish for in a holiday retreat.

Beautiful well equipped villa. Superb!

We have just enjoyed a wonderful relaxing holiday at this beautiful villa. We know Tala well and the villa was in an ideal location, very spacious and well equipped, fantastic pool, plenty of outside space, including bbq and outside dining area, lovely. Could not ask for more. Ray it was a pleasure booking with you, you made everything run very smoothly from start to finish, the villa is a credit to you. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Stayed at this fantastic villa for three weeks and had a great time.the villa has everything you need to have a super time in cyprus.very spacious and modern.the pool is really good and the water quality is excellent and cleaned regularly.Hannah the lady who looks after the place is very helpful and a lovely lady.the local tavern Melitzia is the place to eat good food and enjoy the view.if you wish a relaxing holiday in the sun then this is the place for you.

Ray the owner is very helpful and will answer any questions you have in a friendly way.

I will be booking this villa again.

A short 10 minute drive from the villa will bring you to the Coral Bay area where there are beaches and bays ideal for swimming or sunbathing. The Akamas National Park with its great walks and wildlife are within half an hour of the villa. The famous old harbour of Paphos with its cafes, restaurants, walkways and fort are only 15 minutes drive away.


Paphos International Airport is only 20 minutes from the villa and car hire is readily available at the airport. Larnaca International Airport is an easy drive on the motorway in less than two hours.

A car is much recommended in Cyprus as there is so much to see and experience.


The village square with its restaurants and taverns is a gentle 10 minute walk. There are nearby villages such as Kissonerga which have there own restaurant/bars and shops. The main undercover market in Paphos has to be seen. It is only 10 minutes away. It has everything from artwork to avocados.

Aphrodites rock is only half an hour away, as is Pissouri Bay. On the north coast the beautiful region of Polis and the marina at Latchi is less than an hour away.

Further Details:

The unusually quiet motorway will give you access to Limassol, Larnaca and Nicosia. The furthest should be less than 2 hours!

Locally you will find all you need. Restaurants, cafes, shops, banks, ATM machines. All within 10 minutes drive. You can dine out cheaply or in style.

In Paphos main town you find all you need. Markets, shops, bars, restaurants, cinema and even 10 pin bowling. In the smaller villages you will find multipurpose shops that stock a large variety of goods which make interesting shopping.

Booking Notes:
A 20% non refundable deposit is payable when booking. The balance should be paid in full 8 weeks before your holiday start date. If bookings are made within 8 weeks of the holiday start date then full payment must be made at the time of booking. A refundable breakages charge of £150 is payable when the balance is paid.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days can be flexible. Normally guests would arrive at the villa after 1600 and leave the villa by 11.00 on the departure day but this may be flexible dependent on bookings.
