Villa in Arona, Tenerife - Peaceful Location, 15 Mins Drive to the Beach

Finca Buenavista is a 200 year old restored Canarian farmhouse. It has breathtaking coastal views of the South of Tenerife including Los Christianos and Playa De Las Americas. It is set in a peaceful 4000 metre plot near the pretty Spanish village of Arona with all local amenities including supermarket, chemist, post office bank a few bars and restaurants. Yet it is only 15 minutes drive to the coast with its many beaches as well as bars, restaurants and shops and choice of recreational activities including the famous Siam waterpark.There is a twin and double with shared bathroom on the ground floor and a twin and master bedroom on the first floor with a shared shower room. The house is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden with pool, table tennis table, barbecue area and covered pergola with seating for 8 as well as a fire pit for cooler evenings. The house even has its own cave.

We live in Oxford, England with our two teenage sons. We moved back here after living for 5 years in Tenerife, where we renovated our property. We were only planning to go for 2 years!, but we loved the island so much, the fantastic climate, outdoor lifestyle, Spanish way of life and it was great for the kids who can now sail and surf.

Wonderful Villa in superb location

We had a fantastic 2 week stay here in August. The villa is wonderfully supplied, lots of glasses, plates, cutlery etc. The villa is large and spacious and beautifully furnished. Easy instructions to arrive and about 30 minutes from the airport, meeting the housekeeper was simple and there was a welcome package with wine and bread etc.

The villa has incredible views and it perfectly placed, nice and remote for it to be quiet & near the towns for evenings and days out. We had a great time at Siam Park and also going up the volcano. We had some great meals out in Playa de Las Americas, at the Empire Steak House and Thai restaurants. We hired a car though Autoreissen - cheap and no fuss.

We hope to visit again & I thank Julie and her family for the use of their beautiful home.

Fantastic Find

The pictures of this property didn't do it justice at all. It was beautifully set with amazing views. The accommodation was really thought out and there was loads of room for the 8 of us staying. There were little nooks and crannies to sit and read, a great sized pool for us to play and swim in, a mature garden to enjoy. It really was a great two weeks and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting something away from the noise and bustle of Los Cristianos and Las Americas. But, we were near enough to get to the beaches and their resorts within minutes. The property was beautifully clean and communication with the owners and their helper on the island was first rate. Would definitely go back.

Can,t fault this one

Fantastic villa every thing you need plus more very relaxing ,grounds are lovely and the views fantastic, plenty of things provided to amuse young children , the owner was very responsive with all enquiries overall satisfaction was excellent would book again . Oh and the huge bed in the main bedroom

A very homely villa with fantastic views

This was our second stay at this villa, as we enjoyed our stay here so much last year(2015) , this time our son and family came too. The villa is well equipped, set in a nice garden, and very peaceful, There is a great pool to cool off in. And it does not take long to travel to the coast to explore or to visit Mt Teide national park. Sitting on the terrace in the evenings and just looking at the breath taking views (with a glass of wine) is a wonderful relaxing way to finish the day.

I would recommend this villa to friends and hope to return in the near future.

Perfect quiet location with an unbeatable view

absolutely beautiful place, wonderful location - a perfect quiet spot. We loved the gardens! The firepit was wonderful in the evenings and the villa was clean and airy. We drove upto the national park (teide) most days for extra heat and to

Explore and find lizards. Perfect location to visit the busy touristy areas but also to get into the country. The pictures don't do the views justice. We hope to return.

Fantastic property

What a wonderful find. Amazing views and lovely location. The farmhouse has a great layout. The bedrooms are spacious and airy. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Best bit for us was having breakfast outside on the terrace looking at the view. The pool was perfect too, surrounded by gorgeous flowers. The property was well maintained and clean.

From the Owner

We were looking for an exciting project to renovate and this ticked all the boxes. Even though it needed work it had the most amazing dramatic views all along the Southern coastline. It is over 200 years old , built from volcanic rock and was originally a chapel. The location was important for us too, we wanted to be in the countryside but close enough to the beaches and restaurants and the beautiful village of Arona is close by.

Activity and Interests

Car: necessary


It is a 15 minute drive to the nearest beaches in Los Christianos, Playa de las Americas, Playa Del Duque and pretty La Caleta fishing village and the Spanish village Las Galletas. Within 30 minutes you can reach El Medano, the kite surfing centre of the south.


Reina Sofia Sur Airport is 25 minutes drive.

Car hire is essential.


The peaceful village of Arona is close by. While a spectacular 15 minute drive takes you to the village of Vilaflor and the beginning of Teide National Park with its cable car up the volcano and many walks. There are also famous local walks directly from the property including Roque Del Conde, the highest mountain in the South. Local excellent restaurants are just a short drive away. Watersports and theme parks are also just a short drive away.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house is suitable for children however there are a number of steps and the house is built on terraced land which is mostly fenced or walled. However there are areas where younger children would need to be watched. Outside: Attractive, private landscaped gardens surround the property. There are several different seating areas including a large covered pergola area with outside fridge. There is a kidney shaped 9m x 4.5m pool which has spectacular views. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen provided and changed weekly. Property cleaned weekly. Welcome pack included.
