Situated in Albufeira, one of the Algarve's most popular tourist destinations, Encosta da Orada is a beautiful new private condominium complex built on the hill overlooking the new marina and the coast. It is just a short walk to all of the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops that the old town and marina have to offer, as well as many beautiful sandy beaches including the famous Fisherman's and Peneco beaches, and right next door to many renowned golf courses. "The Strip", known for its active day and night life is a 20 mins walk away (6 euros taxi ride). This luxurious, spacious apartment is finished to a very high standard with modern interior design and porcelain tiles throughout with air conditioning/heating. The secure, gated complex is completed to the highest specification. 2 private balconies (main balcony off lounge, south facing), set in extensive landscaped gardens with saltwater swimming pools and cascading waterfall. The complex also has its own private tennis court.

About Siobhan & Derek Cox

Originally from Ireland, we lived in Dublin,where we both worked in IT but spent most of our holidays in the Algarve, where we fell in love with the climate, the food and the laid back friendly lifestyle. We have recently relocated to Canada for a couple of years, so we are renting out our holiday apartment.

Why Siobhan & Derek Cox chose Albufeira

We chose Albufeira because of the great facilities in the area. There are some really beautiful beaches and a great variety of things to do. We love eating out and we still haven't eaten in all the restaurants yet, we have about 5 faves we always go back to! The food is good quality, and caters well for the British & Irish tastes, if you fancy a change from the delicious local cuisine, with good Thai, Chinese, Indian,Mexican & Italian restaurants. The local seafood is especially amazing..& so cheap! The old town has a good range of bars & restaurants, while the Strip is great if you fancy going clubbing. There really is something for everyone!

We often hire a car and had some great day trips to Tavira, Portimao, Alvor & Lagos. Albufeira is v accessible with Faro airport just 20 minutes

What makes this apartment unique

The property is just ten minutes walk from the famous Fishermans' beach & the charming cobbled streets of the old town. We have also discovered some amazing quiet beaches further along the coast. We also spend a lot of time by the pool as it doesn't get too busy and is a real sun trap. Our balcony is South facing so we get the sun til it sets every evening so we mostly enjoy sitting out with a large glass of vino to catch the last of the sun! We decided to get cable TV so we can keep up with all our favourite TV shows & news from home. The new marina is just a short walk away so its great to have the choice of going to the Old Town, The Strip or the Marina for dinner & drinks. We love the fact that there is always lots of activity in Albufeira and we never have a boring holiday!

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean towels and linen provided, the apartment is also professionally cleaned before each new rental and every 7 days thereafter for longer term rentals. Great communication with the owner, spotless apartment and complex. Apartment fully equipped and didn't need our cooler bag as one already in the kitchen. Child friendly in the apartment and complex with the added comfort of having a gated entrance. Will defiantly return.

Modern apartment with plenty of space.

Very nice modern apartment with sun on the patio area in the afternoon, grounds and pool well maintained with free sun beds to use whilst there. Very secure key only access, and security on site 24hrs. A 10 minute walk down hill to the beach and a quite steep walk back.

Ideal holiday let

My wife and I stayed in this apartment with our daughter and her partner. Lovely holiday let and ideal location for the Old Town centre. The apartment is very clean and the amenities perfect for a holiday. Parking and access to the apartment is easy. The service provided with the apartment is very good and a good local phone support for any issues. The Marina along with shops and restaurants in Albufeira are within walking distance. Would recommend for anyone.

We have stayed at Apartment on 4 occasions and every time we come away with a feeling we have stayed in 5 star apartment.

The Apartment is first class with everything you would need

The complex itself is first class - no bar or shop - but excellent pool and great security

Its a 15 minute from old town, yes little hilly but that Portugal!!

Top Class Property

Stayed here with our two kids (aged 1 & 2). Booking was very straight forward and the place was spotless on our arrival. Spacious, modern appartment in a very private complex, loved it. Close to all amenities including the local supermarket which was great for the daily essentials, 5 min walk!. Only a short walk to Albufeira Marina which is a great place for lunch. The pool was lovely, never too busy so plenty of chairs!. Most of all my husband and I enjoyed a glass of the local vino every evening on the balcony while watching the sun set!. Will definitely be back!!!.

10 mins walk to Fishermans and Peneco Sandy Beaches. 15 minutes walk to Sao Rafael Beach, 20-25 minutes walk to Areias de Sao Joao, Oura & Santa Eulalia sandy beaches.


Faro Airport 25 minutes drive away. Transfers are easily organised, we can provide details for low cost reliable companies. As the apartment is close to all amenities that the Old Town has to offer, a car is not essential.


Old Town is only a short walk (10 mins). There are water parks and Zoomarine, where you can swim with the dolphins only 15 minutes drive away. 20 mins walk to the Infamous "Strip" full of lively bars and nightclubs where you can enjoy the late night scene.

Further Details:

A great variety of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and clubs are all within walking distance. The 'Algarve Shopping' Mall which includes a cinema and bowling alley is a 10 minute drive away.
