Villa in Moli de L'om, Vinaros, Costa del Azahar / Valencia, Spain - Located On Small Urbanisation 20 Mins Drive From Coast, 15 Mins From Mountains
Villa ‘El Olivo’ is set on the urbanization of Moli D’ Lom a short drive from the beach resorts of Peniscola and Vinaros. Drive inland for 15 minutes and you are in the mountains with stunning views, overlooking a magnificent dammed lake/reservoir, with facilities such as restaurants, fishing, boat hire, an abundance of walks and cycling for the fittest. The Urbanisation Moli de L'om and the local village of El Castell are situated on the Costa del Azahar ‘The Orange Blossom Coast’ only 2 hours drive from Barcelona and 1.5 hours from Valencia. The villa boasts well maintained gardens to the front and side, with a very large terraced area at the rear surrounding the 8x4m swimming pool. A large stone built barbecue, table and chairs is situated on the corner of the terrace, over looking the river bed, making an ideal setting for alfresco dining. The river flows several times a year when water is released from the dam. A very friendly bar, crazy golf and restaurant are within 2 mins walk.

Lovely country get-away.
I stayed in the villa for 8 days in September 2016 and only have good things to say about Kim, the owner, and the property itself. I've tried to think of some points where I believe things could be improved but there aren't any. The house is located in a quiet location in a small urbanisation so a car is essential I would say but there are hypermarkets 20 mins away and smaller shops 5min away so no problems there. I was greeted by Rosy a very friendly and helpful neighbour who showed me round the house and was available when I had some questions. Kim gives locations before arrival of decent restaurants within easy reach if you want to eat out and details some places of interest. She was as helpful as she could possibly be and always contactable. There is a nice retaurant Gallegos in the village a few minutes walk where the paella was lovely and so much they gave us doggy bags to take the rest home. I travelled as far as Tarragona for days out which is just an hour away. Other interesting towns were Morella up in the mountains, Tortosa, and Vinaros which is the nearest beach at 20 mins. The house has all amenities that you need, plenty of cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery which you don't always get in my experience, and is clean, well laid out and comfortable . English TV and good wifi connection were handy to have. There is a bbq area and outdoor dining area which was great on the warm September nights and the pool was a blessing during the hot days. In summary I would certainly stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.
An amazing villa for a family holiday
We have just returned from a most amazing week at this fantastic villa. The quality of the furnishings is very high and we had a very comfortable and relaxing week. We all enjoyed the pool, especially the children; at times it was difficult to to get them out! The BBQ was superb, we made plenty of use of it. The owners and the people looking after the property were very friendly and helpful; they really wanted us to have a good week and we did.
We chose to relax at the villa a lot and only saw some bits of the local area, The Portaventura theme park is great providing it is not too busy, the queues can be massive. Vinaros was handy for supermarkets, but we found the Spar in La Senia much more convenient. The ice cream place (Heladaria Milano) in Vinaros was quite simply amazing and is worth a visit.
This is the third time we have stayed here in four years, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, chill out by your own pool, wander up to the local bar for a bite to eat and drink or to be busy and be out and about then look no further this is the place for you.The locals do not speak English but the restaurant does have an English menu and a get by phrase book if you don't speak fluent Spanish is very helpful, the food is second to none and you must try the T bone steak, trust me you won't finish it, There is a village store where you can get anything from charcoal to fresh eggs and pick up a bottle of wine or bubbly. This is a great place to explore what the region offers from beaches, castles, bullfights, beautiful scenery with gems of restaurants tucked away. The villa has everything you could want for a great holiday, We will be returning
My wife and I had a wonderful week at Kim's villa. Absolutely flawless, everything you could possibly want from a holiday.
The villa was extremely well equipped and clean. Village is only a 2 min walk where the local people are very friendly.
Plenty to do in this area of Spain if you want to and equally rewarding if you want to chill.
I would highly recommend this Villa.
Excellent stay in beautiful villa
Excellent stay in beautiful villa, I would highly recommend this villa to anyone. spacious, well set out and the villa and pool were spotlessly clean.
Very well equipped, the grand kids loved the pool and evening barbecues were fantastic.
Well located about half way between Barcelona and Valencia with good links on the motorway I would recommend the biopark and aquarium at Valencia
Definitely re booking for next year.....:)
our whole family review
Well what a villa, everything U could possibly want (just read about the in villa items) my whole immediate family (daughter, 3 grandchildren, my wife and I) for first week, then (second daughter, partner,2 grandchildren my wife and I) for second week. So a mix of teenagers 40 year olds and us two pensioners it was fantastic for all of us old and young. The villa was superb with all mod cons in kitchen and utilities etc. the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. lots of room in both bathrooms with modern fixtures and fittings. The air conditioning in all rooms was fabulous with adjustments so as not to dry the air too much but set to your liking. The internet connection is a revelation and massive extra in any villa so to have it here plus all of the TV etc entertainment was a real bonus. We have stayed in many villas in Spain and this one beats all of them. We came in peak season but have been to this area previously in Sept/Oct and the weather was superb. The pool area we all loved, beautiful clear clean water and maintained by a local man to a very high standard, with all of the rear patio area kept in a very clean and beautiful condition. Plenty of room for your vehicle in the front of villa with a nicely laid out front area. All in all a fantastic villa. Not forgetting Kim the owner she made our booking a very painless exercise. We will be back next year. Many thanks Kim for a fabulous two weeks.
