This luxury apartment is located just a 5 minute walk away from the beach in a quiet area of Kato Paphos. Access to the Lighthouse beach (blue flag) is via a small side road with no main roads to cross.The Harbour and Castle are a short walk away and here you will find many fine restaurants and the entrance and museum for the Archaeological site. All amenities including, restaurants/pubs/ bakery and shops are with a 2 minute walk away. Latest (2014) The Kings Avenue Mall just opened and not to be missed includes designer shops/restaurants/cinema/free Wifi/supermarket/children's entertainment and so much more. The balcony leading from the lounge has stunning sea views and overlooks the UNESCO site of antiquity and is ideal for dining al-fresco or simply enjoy a cool drink whilst watching the evening sun set over the Mediterranean sea. Covered private parking is provided directly below the apartment block entrance with immediate access to the lift making it ideal for guests with limited walking ability. For those who enjoy swimming pool activities the Roman Hotel (opposite the entrance to Roman Park & right on the doorstep) has 2 swimming pools which can be used for free if you decide to dine there at any time, this hotel is open to Non-Residents and is well recommended for excellent food, service and is very reasonably priced. An alternative is the Damon Hotel located 150 metres from the apartment and has a large super outdoor swimming pool and offers drinks and snacks from the poolside bar.

Great location with stunning sea views and sunsets

My wife and I were over the moon when we arrived at "Lighthouse View". The agent Carol gave us a very warm welcome when she collected us from the airport and took us to the apartment. The apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. It is in an ideal location with plenty of amenities within easy walking distance so you definitely don’t need a car. Having the two balconies was a blessing as we would sit out in the morning with a cuppa watching the sun rise and then use the one at the rear one overlooking stunning views of the sea .Watching the evening sunsets was magnificent. We certainly enjoyed our stay strolling down to the harbour for our evening meal. We came to Paphos over 12 yrs ago and was glad to see that it hadn’t changed too much and that the new coastal path was a great improvement. As we like to explore we did hire a car and can recommend Polis and Latchi are well worth a visit. The weather was fantastic considering it was November (24 degrees!!) so chilling out on the beach and a swim in the sea was perfect. We had a great time and our only regret was that we had to come home. We will certainly be returning and would recommend staying at Lighthouse View.

Great apartment, great views, great location!

We had a week in this apartment and can't fault it.

Two bedrooms (one double and one with two singles) and a fully kitted kitchen with large fridge freezer, oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The living area (open plan) has a TV with DVD player and satellite box. Only about eight english speaking channels (mainly news) but you're not going to Cyprus to watch the telly! There's also a CD/Radio player with a selection of CD's.

Very useful is the numerous local guidebooks and maps in the bookcase, in addition to a selection of novels.

Also there are two balconies, one facing inland which gets the sun in the morning, and the other with a stunning sea view which gets the sun in the afternoon, with some spectacular sunsets as well. Most evenings we would sit out with a bottle of wine and watch the sunset before heading out. The view also overlooks the archealogical park and the lighthouse and ancient odeon are visible.

Locationwise it couldn't be much better. Turning left when leaving the apartment complex takes you on to Tomb of the Kings Road, with a variety of bars and restaurants. The actual Tomb of the Kings is a 1600m walk up the road. Turning right takes you on to Fabrica Hill and it's a 10 minute walk down to the bus terminal and harbour/seafront again with numerous tavernas and restaurants. You are also a stone's throw from the Kings Avenue shopping mall with around 100 shops, including a good sized supermarket for supplies.

The owners and local agent were friendly, informative and extremely helpful. Unless you have alternative transport arrangements I would recommend taking the option of the local agent picking you up at the airport. Not only is it cheaper than a taxi but she is very informative, will show you around the apartment, and if you have any queries or problems she is most helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty when we left some items of sentimental value in the apartment when we left!

Overall I honestly can't fault the whole experience and look forward to returning!

Spacious, comfortable and convenient!

This is a spacious, well-appointed 2 bed apartment offering accommodation of a higher than usual standard. Both bedrooms are a good size and are well furnished with top quality beds, cupboards and units. The bathroom is modern and is situated in between the bedrooms. An additional sliding door can be used to separate this half of the apartment, we found this helpful when cooking! The open plan living space has a great kitchen with nice units and surfaces and a new oven and hob. This was an easy kitchen to cook in and there was no lack of utensils, pots and so on. A door opens onto a balcony which is great for your morning cuppa in the sun and for the more mundane activity of drying washing. The lounge area has 2 comfy sofas and a TV. There is a selection of paperbacks to borrow and plenty of DVDs. Doors open onto the balcony which has plenty of room and the usual furniture completes the picture. The view of the sea is extensive and we made sure we watched the sunset almost every day; just lovely. It is an easy walk down to the port or you can take the longer but still easy route along the prom which makes for a nice circular option. There is a good supermarket in the road along from Debenhams near the port (10-15 minutes walk) or other options if you have a car. There are bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away and a choice of take-away options too. You could easily spend a holiday here without a car, however, and the bus service seemed good value and handy if you want to go further afield. We liked the fact that this is a true residential development with many of the apartments being lived in rather than all holiday lets. We would not hesitate to book this apartment again if we were to return to Cyprus.

Great Apartment

We had a brilliant 2 weeks in August 2013. The apartment was in a great location, close to main road with bars, shops etc. 5 min walk to a beautiful beach. Clean, air conditioned and really satisfied. Thank you.

We decided to buy in Kato Paphos after many visits to Cyprus, we felt this area offered the best option regarding access to beaches, historical sites, walking and most tourists activities. We bought the apartment before it was completed in 2006, when we first viewed on completion we were amazed at the stunning sea view from the lounge.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The sandy Lighthouse (blue flag) beach is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment and another 10 minute walk will take you to the Harbour. This is a centre point for many activities including the Castle, Museum, access to the Archaeological site, Restaurants, Boat trips, Self drive speed boats, Diving and Fishing. Just a short stroll along the waterfront brings you to the main shopping centre.

Travel:

Flights direct to Paphos airport are available from most international airlines. It is around a 20 mins drive to Paphos,or 90 mins from Larnaca Airport using the dual carriageway. Car hire is available from both airports, or you can hire a car from a local company just a short walking distance from the apartment. If transport is required from the airport taxis are always available, alternatively, our Agent offer's a meet and greet service at competitive rates. For information contact the owner.

Distances:

The apartment is ideally situated for the main bus route for visiting places such as Coral beach/ Aphrodite Water Park/ Polis and various villages. A single ticket can be purchased for 1.50 euro which is the cheapest option if you are just going there and back, but if you wish to travel on numerous buses then you can purchase an All Day Pass for 5 euro (prices correct at Feb 2014).

Further Details:

There are shops, supermarkets, restaurants and a bakery all within a 2 minute walk, also new in 2014 is the Kings Avenue shopping mall which is air conditioned and includes a cinema, supermarket, restaurants, play area, designer shops,coffee shops free WiFi and much more all within a 2 min walk of the apartment. If you prefer, there is a market in the old town just a 15 minute walk away. For guests who are interested in the history of Paphos the apartment is ideally situated for visiting, the Catacombs, Tombs of the Kings, St Paul's Pillar, the Castle and Harbour, and the main UNESCO site which the apartment overlooks. For the more adventurous there is easy access to the islands mountains and forests notably the Troodos mountains and the unspoilt Akamas region with it's wonderful and usually empty beaches, gorges and marked walking trails.

Bicycles can be hired nearby and is an ideal way to explore the coastal path which is now paved and stretches for some miles.The Segway the new personal transporter can now be hired from the harbour area another great fun way to get around.

A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before departure. The owner will guarantee a provisional booking for 7 days to allow time to book flights and the return of the booking form.

Changeover Day:
All booking start dates are flexible. The apartment is booked from 2pm on the day of arrival through to 10am on the day of departure, this is necessary to allow for cleaning. Extended departure times are sometimes available, contact owner if required.

Credit/Debit cards may also be used but a valid email address is required as payments are processed securely through Paypal.

We love the apartment because it's so close to the sea and overlooks the UNESCO historical site. One of our favourite strolls is a circular walk from the apartment down to the beach then following the coastal path round to the Castle and Harbour, stopping for refreshments at one of the many harbour side restaurants before heading back via the Catacombs.
