Holiday Home in Trevone, Nr. Padstow, Cornwall - very near to Sandy Beach, In Pretty Village Location

Bay House is located 2 minutes walk from the sandy swimming and surfing beach in Trevone and a 5-10 minute walk along coastal path from 'Rocky Beach' with its natural swimming pool. The house is ideal for a relaxing holiday as the village has a beach shop and cafe, pub serving food and small village shop. It is only 2 miles from the highly acclaimed restaurants in popular Padstow, with its picturesque harbour and working fishing port. There are plenty of activities nearby with stunning coastal walks on your door step or short drives to Trevose Championship golf course, cycling or horse riding on the Camel Trail and several excellent surfing beaches. The house has double and twin bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 4 adults with a sofa bed in the living room to sleep an additional two if required. Modern, well equipped kitchen, living/dining room, wifi, off road parking, storage and small garden. Sorry no pets and no smoking.

About Alison MacPherson

We bought Bay House in 2007 having had many fantastic holidays in the area. When my husband and I first met we had many happy times playing golf, windsurfing and surfing nearby. When our children were very young we continued to come to this area for the variety of great beaches and places to visit.

We chose Bay House as we wanted to be within a minute’s stroll of a great beach with a relaxed village atmosphere. We loved it as soon as we walked in & always spend at least three weeks a year here and make sure that it is always in first class condition.

Many of our guests come back year after year and enjoy the house as much as we do. We hope you enjoy it too.

Outside: Small private garden with table and garden chairs and access to house through patio doors to living room. Hose for all that sand from the beach! Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer. Storage area suitable for storing bikes, windsurfing equipment etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels provided for four people. The beds will be made before your arrival. Please bring additional bedlinen for guests on sofabed and your beach towels. The house will be clean and tidy upon your arrival. Please leave clean when you leave. Other: Small garage which is useful for storing beach equipment, hanging wetsuits and where you will find various buckets and spades and the bbq. High chair and travel cot available subject to additional charge of £10 each per booking.

Lovely house with everything you need and want for a week's holiday

Great location. Close to the beach and even closer to the beach café and shop. Nice to have outside space and off road parking. Very quiet at the end of a cul de sac. There is everything you need in the kitchen. No mobile signal in the house but good WiFi and use of the landline phone for free if needed a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Trevone. Will certainly be at the top of our list when we next look to stay in Trevone.

Great Location, well equipped and clean

Fabulous week in Trevone, we have stayed at Bay House before about 4 years ago and returned this time with the kids as teenagers, both times the house catered for us perfectly.

Trevone itself has 2 beaches one sandy one rocky, both beautiful. The local beach store is very handy for cups of tea and snacks on the beach, we also had an evening meal there (Peak season only) which was very nice.

The perfect spot for a holiday on the North Atlantic Coast.

This holiday accommodation is perfectly situated between Padstow and St Merryn allowing easy access to the beautiful North Atlantic Coast. The house really is only a very short walk from Trevone Beach which is a small secluded bay typical of Cornwall, being clean, family friendly and well serviced by a shop, cafe and toilets. It has the added attraction of being off-limits to dogs so you are not camped out on a dog toilet like so many other beaches. They have a full time lifeguard station so bathing and surfing is as safe as it can be. Surfers can easily get to a large number of excellent surfing beaches. The house has two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with two singles. The road is a cul-de-sac with one off-road parking space and is very quiet at night. Everything we needed was provided. We will be going back.

2 minute walk to sandy Trevone Beach patrolled by lifeguards from May - September to ensure a safe bathing environment (no dogs allowed on beach from Easter to October). 5-10 minute walk to Rocky Beach with semi natural swimming pool. Using the coastal path (or car) you visit 6 other nearby unspoilt but varied beaches at Harlyn Bay, Mother ivey's Bay, Constantine Bay, Booby's, Treyarnoon and Porthcothan. Fistral Beach Newquay (14m) and Watergate Bay (10m) are world famous for surfing and Daymar (14m) is great for windsurfing.


Newquay airport (approx 14 miles). Bodmin Parkway mainline rail station (approx 20 miles). Local bus service to Padstow and Newquay. For a beach orientated holiday you will not need a car once you get to Bay House. However, many of the attractions of the area are only accessible by car.


Padstow -2 miles.

Newquay - 13 miles.

Crealy Adventure Park - 5 miles.

Wadebridge- 10 miles.

Tesco is 5 minutes drive towards Padstow. Cinema in Wadebridge. Restaurants include Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, Ripley's (Michelin Star) at St Merryn, and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant at Watergate Bay near Newquay. Tennis: 3 all-weather courts at the nearby Trevose Golf & Country Club. Surfing: on many of the local beaches. Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan: both near St Austell about one hours drive away. Camel Trail: cycle the Camel estuary trail from Wadebridge to Padstow (cycles can be hired from either place). Fishing: good local sea fishing from nearby rocks and beaches, plus boat fishing trips from Padstow.

We will hold a reservation for seven days at the end of which, on receipt of a signed booking form with a 30% deposit, the booking will be confirmed. Full payment, along with a refundable £200 damage deposit, is to be made not less than 8 weeks before your arrival date.

Normally Saturday. Flexibility on start dates and short breaks out of season. Arrival not before 4pm, departure not after 10am.

Notes on prices:
Short breaks welcome out of peak season: 3 nights 70% of 7-day rent, 4 nights 75%, 5 nights 80%. Min rental rate £350. Enquire for reduced monthly rates out of peak season. Monthly bookings incur an additional charge for energy based on meter readings for gas and electricity. Please enquire about Christmas & New Year prices.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
