Perfect 'home From home' break in Vale do Lobo

Our family have recently returned from a wonderful and relaxing stay at Andrews villa in Vale do lobo. The villa is modern, very clean and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. We appreciated the villa being on the ground floor as it is both 'safe' for children and provides a lovely aspect when dining or relaxing on the lovely patio area, it also provided some relief in the afternoon from the hot weather. We found the beds very comfortable and my husband was chuffed that there was a full satelite tv service and free wifi p,us the air con was great. Vale do lobo itself offers wonderful restaurants and a nice beach, it is both safe and beautifully landscaped. We particularly enjoyed 'Vale de Garraro' beach (not sure if spelling is correct) just a few minutes drive away. There are so many things to do in the area. Alamancil (nearby) is a lovely village offering great restaurants, supermarkets and the karting track is fab plus inexpensive. We would recomend this villa to families, couples or single people. THANKYOU so much.

Good location in Vale Do Lobo

We stayed at Andrew's apartment for a few days last month. It was a great base in VDL and the "tennis valley" is our favourite place to stay. From there it's a nice walk (about 15-20 mins) to the beach and the bars/restaurants (eg Julie's, Izzy's and Maria's). It's also takes a similar time to walk to the Praca in VDL. The apartment has been updated recently and the open plan kitchen and living area is a good space. There is a very large choice of TV channels including all UK channels and sports channels.....which especially pleased my husband! Andrew's instructions on how to find the apartment and access the wi fi etc were very comprehensive and it is good to be able to easily contact the owner. It is quiet in VDL in November (we prefer that), but we were very lucky with glorious blue sunny days and great golf! Thanks again Andrew.

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful location

I would completely recommend Andrew's apartment. We are a family of 5 and had more than enough room. We hired a car which is a must if you want to go out with VDL. We absolutely love the Praca, what a beautiful place to eat and relax ... you may even see some famous faces! Andrew was also fantastic in replying to me and seen to things straight away. We loved this apartment and loved VDL and will definitely return soon x

Well placed and beautiful apartment.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Andrew's apartment for 4 nights. We were both delighted to see how clean and well kept the place was. Sky TV, double sinks, lovely patio, clean and comfortable bed, cooking facilities etc made it exactly what we needed. 15 minute walk to the Praca/beach and the same to Alambique made is perfectly placed to walk everywhere! Highly recommended. Thanks again.

Great apartment

This was perfect for us, an inexpensive apatment that was very clean and comfortable, comfy mattress which is quite rare and a great location, near the tennis club and a delightful 15 minute stroll to the lovely beach and restaurants. We found everything perfect and early October was a great time to go, quite quiet and relaxing. Can highly recommend both aoartment and resort.

Nice Apartment with small 2nd Bedroom

The apartment is nice and is in a quiet position close to amenities, with it's own secluded terrace area and parking right outside. All of the main fixtures (Kitchen/Bathrooms/TV etc.) seem quite new and are of a good standard, and having Sky Sports was useful as it rained a bit. However be aware that the apartment was originally built as a 1 bed and has been converted by moving the kitchen area in to the lounge, creating a 2nd bedroom which is very small (Just big enough for 2 single beds) and doesn't have its own air con unit, so whilst it may be suitable for smaller children it wasn't ideal for 3 blokes on a golf trip, especially as there was limited wardrobe space and nowhere to store suitcases / golf clubs other than in the main lounge area. To be fair it is cheaper than an average 2 bed so could be a good option if you're prepared to compromise on the 2nd bedroom. It didn't really cause us a problem in the end.

Owner's Response: Dear Nick, I'm glad you had a pleasant stay. Regarding the golf clubs, 3 large sets of golf clubs would be difficult to store in any apartment in Vale do Lobo due to the size of these large bags. I and my wife play golf and we easily keep one set in the hallway and one in the main bedroom out of the way. The second storage cupboard opposite the second bedroom has now been cleared of hoover and ironing board so there is more room to store clothes there. The second bedroom does have 2 single beds and is sufficient for 2 adults to sleep. In the summer-time the air con in the main bedroom cools that bedroom and the air con from the sitting room does cool the whole downstairs well but there is now also a fan in 2nd bedroom to add additional comfort. I hope you enjoyed your golf.

The award winning beaches are a 2 minute drive/10 min walk. These include the Vale do Lobo Praca or Maria's beach both with sun loungers. The Praca beach has recently been remodeled and offers acres of fine golden sand with numerous fine restaurants and bars for all tastes. Live music in the evening.

Crazy golf and the children's club are also located next to the Praca.


Faro airport is 15-20 minutes away by car. We recommend you have a car which you can rent at the airport

The tennis academy is a 4 min walk and offers private and group coaching for all abilities throughout the year with weekly barbecues. The apartment has free use of the large pool and sun loungers at the Tennis Academy. Including a restaurant & bar with waiter service it's the perfect place to relax.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is fully air-conditioned and radiators provide any heating required. A cot and high chair are available for children at a minimal extra charge. The apartment is ideally located between the tennis academy and Barringtons on the Avenida das Acacias. Outside: The front of the apartment is on a very quiet small one way road for local properties, lined with palm and pine trees. The rear of the apartment overlooks lawned gardens with pine and palm trees. The area is very peaceful and quiet and you will soon realise why Vale do Lobo has been voted Europe's most luxurious beach resort. Guests have free use of the large communal pool, cafe, bar and restaurant at the Tennis Academy just four minutes walk away. Facilities also include a gym, sauna, massage, internet access and 14 tennis courts (local charge applies). Utility Room: Utility cupboard housing ironing board, broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer and washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid Service weekly.
