Casa Rosina’s spacious, clean, secure and private accommodation is equipped with all the facilities a modern family needs to enjoy their holiday. When staying - our house is your house. The kids can stay entertained playing with body boards, pool toys, board games, TV, while the parents relax around the pool or share sun-downers at the relaxing poolside bar/lounge area. We have now completely refurbished Casa Rosina since taking it over in 2007 and we still look to improve it further each year. Great feedback from our guests is really appreciated. The decor is simple and modern and the villa is very well equipped for large groups and for entertaining both inside and out by the pool. Well stocked local supermarkets with delivery service available for home cooked meals or barbeques, takeaways and the numerous restaurants provide endless dining options. We have invested in good quality divan beds which can be pushed together to make good king-size doubles or pulled apart for single occupancy. We supply hotel quality white Egyptian bed linen and towels which are professionally laundered at each changeover. The unique positioning of Casa Rosina within the village offers an easy 5 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk from the bars and restaurants of the central square - forget the car. Our villa is but a short meander up the cobbled streets from the village square and quayside past the church. Ferragudo is reported to be the most photographed village in the Algarve. Its unspoiled cobbled streets and picture postcard houses blend seamlessly with the local bars and restaurants. The unique atmosphere of Ferragudo is created by a blend of village life and the small local fishing business that supplies fresh fish to the numerous restaurants.

Short stay with 6 friends

This villa is just perfect, we were 6 friends of over 40 years, the villa is spacious and has everything you need. The pool is lovely and we had lovely late nights sitting under the fairy lights in the bar by the pool. Ferragudo is lovely and a great base for seeing the Algarve. Would highly recommend

Family holiday

Lovely location, great eating places, villa was excellent for all the family, very well equipped but some updating of furniture required? Everybody loved the pool & the area around it, would recommend this villa for families😃

Perfect for a couple of families

Great villa in a great spot, perched on the top of the hill in Ferragudo with a short walk to the main square and a short walk to the main beach. Swimming pool area was beautiful and felt private, lined with some lemon trees which all added to the charm. Kitchen terrace perfect for breakfast and lunch to get out of the sun. Roof terrace absolutely perfect for those early evening glasses of wine. A few bits of furniture were starting to fray around the edges, but I'm sure that will be taken care of in time for the new holiday season next year (plus the front door sticks a bit, nothing a bit of sanding down wouldn't take care of). All in all, bar some small cosmetic improvements (which won't detract from your stay) it was perfect for what we needed it for - local restaurants all excellent (the Indian in the square is actually the pick of the bunch) and the check in process was completely smooth, arranged via Whatsapp. I look forward to visiting again.

Lovely Property and Location

This is a lovely property in a very pretty location. The villa is well equipped with lovely pool area. The bedrooms were very pretty. We had a three year old with us so the games cupboard was well used in the evenings. Ferragudo is small and not overly touristy. The square full of bars is delightful. The beaches are nearby and again delightful. The locals and the tourists were all very friendly. We were sorry we were only there for a week. I would certainly recommend this villa and the help from both Gina and Kerstin. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We have just had a fabulous 2 week stay in Casa Rosina in Ferraguda. Six adults and 4 children.

W really enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of breakout spaces if you wanted some time away from other guests. Really recommend it

Hi we are sisters in law. Between us we have four children from ages 16 to 24, two husbands, three dogs and a cat! The children share grandparents who live permanently in Ferragudo so we love to holiday together and have done so for the last sixteen years. We try to go at least twice a year and the rest of the time we like to think we share our villa and the lovely location with others! Many of our clients go again and again. I manage the bookings and pride myself on adding that extra touch to make planning your holiday that much easier and reassuring. We have plenty of help managing the villa, nothing is too much trouble from providing numerous birthday cakes (40th, 50th, 60th and 70th's so far....) contacts for restaurants or coordinating other villas for large groups of wedding guests. We ourselves like to try a different adventure or activity each year (from mountain biking, buggy driving, and sea kayaking to local spa's) We still have climbing, horse riding and plenty more on the 'to do' list.

Why they chose this property

We saw the house for sale, unexpectedly, on a weekend trip away and just thought it was perfect for families holidaying together, as we do.
Ferragudo is a perfect location. We can get everywhere by foot. Beach and beach bars by day, and the village square with its bars, restaurants and entertainment by night. We no longer hire a car, which is great for larger groups, we just choose where to meet up with each other. We can arrange airport transfers with a local firm on request. Ferragudo is unspoilt but with plenty to do and gets better each time we visit.
The busier resort of Praia da Rocha and the town of Portimao are easily accessible by water taxi, a short ride across the river. For trips further out we use a very reliable local taxi firm.
We love to play tennis and have tried organized mountain bike and kayak tours.

What makes this property unique

Benefits include the large private pool, a must for the children and adults alike in the Algarve sunshine.
Great location, just 8 minute walk to the beach with activities, bars and restaurants, or a 5 minute walk down to the village square with many bars and restaurants.
There is ample space for entertaining at Casa Rosina. We often BBQ by the pool in the evening and then walk down to the village square for a few drinks. Or we eat out and then end up by the poolside bar for a nightcap or more usually a cup of tea! We have a covered outdoor lounge area with rattan suite. Our villa is well equipped and has recently benefited from a complete refurbishment, including new beds, sofas, TV, BBQ, stereo, hotel quality linen, towels and soft furnishings.
The locals are very friendly. We often find that our clients have met friends of ours out there, we try not to get jealous! We have also had many compliments about our house manager Kerstin who is very helpful and lives locally, so is available to our guests whilst staying at Casa Rosina, should the need arise.
