Great apartment

We are a family of 5 and stayed in the apartment for ten days. The first thing that we noticed was how spacious the apartment was and the decor was of a very high standard.

The bedrooms were a great size and the kitchen was well stocked with all you'd need with the only exception being no microwave.

The wonderful pool is just a one minute walk from the apartment down some steps and we were always able to find enough seats for our needs, no matter what time of the day.

A car would be essential, there is a small shop just round the corner selling some basics but the Vila Sol shops are about a mile away as is Oscars, a bar that sells food and is child friendly. Car parking is available and the door from the car park open directly to the apartment.

Vilamoura is under ten minutes by car.

A great apartment I would thoroughly recommend.

BRILLIANT

Just returned from Palmyra, this apartment was lovely, it has three bedroom with 3 bathrooms which was great when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time. It was spotlessly clean and really furnished well, the balcony is in the shade but don't let this put you off because you need that shade when you are eating as it is so hot. The pool area is beautiful, its right in front off the apartment but has a wall and hedge in front so you don't get the noise and we could always find loungers no matter what time of day we went down. There's a great place to eat not far called Oscars, ate there 5 times meals were always good. I would recommend this apartment to all my family and friends and the owners are great to deal with and they make everything so simple. Just one point, it is best if you have a car We will return!!!!!!!!!!!!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Vilamoura and Quarteira beaches are 5 minutes drive away.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro, 20 minutes drive. By taxi this will cost approximately 30 euros. Taxis are plentiful and good value; however, hiring a car gives you the opportunity to explore the area. Car hire is reasonably priced if you book on the web in advance.

Distances:

Vilamoura Marina is 5 minutes drive away. There is a water park within a few minutes drive, and carting is available at nearby Almancil.

The lovely old town of Loule is 20 minutes drive away; and for those who like to explore further afield, Silves, Olhao, Albufeira and Lagos are all easy to reach.

Further Details:

Vila Sol complex has a restaurants, bars, Barclays Bank and deli. There is an excellent supermarket 5 minutes drive away, & there is a cashpoint at the Vila Sol golf course.

Forum Algarve shopping centre, 20 minutes away in Faro has a large hypermarket as well as a large selection of fashion shops. Fresh fish and vegetable markets can be found in Quarteira and Loule.

For designer shopping, Quinta do Lago is 15 minutes away, and the old towns of Faro and Loule offer a great selection of clothes, especially shoes.

Within walking distance, Vila Sol Hotel has two bars and two restaurants, one of which is poolside. The golf club house bar serves excellent lunchtime food and also has a gourmet restaurant (L’Olive) for the evening.

There are a huge number of bars and restaurants a short drive or taxi away, ranging from Michelin star to cheap and delicious local venues. Vilamoura Marina in particular has a wide choice.

Please email/telephone one of the owners, Janet Foster or Angela Unitt with preferred dates. A booking deposit of £150 per week plus a refundable breakage deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment due 4 weeks before arrival.
Damage will be charged in full. If you cancel your booking the breakage deposit will be returned in full, the booking deposit will be retained unless a replacement can be found.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.

£150 per week payable on booking to secure the reservation. Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival.
A refundable breakage deposit of £200 is also required at time of booking, which will be returned at the end of your stay, subject to satisfactory inspection of the apartment. Significant damage will be charged in full.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
