The property is in an ideal location for exploring the traditionally Portuguese Tavira and miles of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve’s beautiful white sandy beaches, including Tavira Island and Barril beach at Santa Luzia in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, all within a 5 minute drive. There are several excellent golf courses within a 4 - 8km distance. Relax in Tavira’s beautiful town with its castle, gardens and river with historic Roman bridge. The town has a wide selection of restaurants including excellent sea food restaurants, bars, shops and pavement cafes in the old town and alongside the river.

Notes on accommodation: With air-conditioning/heating units throughout, the property is suitable for visits all year round. Outside: 5 levels of outdoor private terraces including a stunning spacious roof terrace equipped with outdoor furniture and drinks fridge. The roof terrace has views to the sea, and across Tavira. There is a range of high quality outdoor furniture and parasols for dining, relaxing or sunbathing. There is also a private brick built BBQ for alfresco dining. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the cost of rental. The property is cleaned weekly and linen and towels change can be arranged and agreed at the convenience of the Renter, for periods of stay of longer than 1 week. Other: Games room equipped with professional pool table and bar football.

Lovely spacious clean home

Great house to base our family of six. Ben was easily contactable and any little issues or questions dealt with quickly . Thoughtful additions such as ice box and thermal bags meant that the bottles of water could be stuck in the freezer then carried around all day slowly defrosting .

Beautiful area , would be keen to return . Thanks Ben .

NOTE : Having checked with Portugese resident who is a friend we established that the tap water is safe which helped minimise the plastic bottles being thrown away . Good recycling point at the top of the street.

Lovely and Roomy house

Lovely house, we stayed here with our family (8 people) for four nights instead of three as we had decided in advance. The house is very big, clean and supplied with everything. The location is strategic for visiting the Eastern Algarve. I recommend it!!!!

Location

Coast/Beach:

Within a 5 minute drive, there are many beautiful white sandy beaches along the coast either side of Tavira including The Island of Tavira which is just a short boat trip from the town's harbour and the beach at Santa Luzia where you park and either walk or take a 2 minute train ride to the beach at the dunes, which has restaurants and a few shops. The beaches offer miles of white sand, sun beds with shade, beach cafes. There is a further beach within a few minutes drive at Cabanas de Tavira.

Travel:

The house is around 35 kms (20 minutes) from Faro airport, and there are excellent taxi, bus and train services from Faro to Tavira. There are also regular bus and train services to visit other places from Tavira, so car hire is not essential but is recommended to make the most of your stay.

Distances:

Tavira town centre with shops, excellent restaurants, cafes and bars is 3 mins drive or 10-15 mins walk.

Spanish border is just 20km away and the historic city of Seville is within a 2 hour drive.

Algarve shopping complex 40 mins drive.

Santa Luzia (beach) is 4km away.

Faro is 35 kms (25-30 mins) drive.

Cabanas (beach) is 6km away.

A 25% deposit (non-refundable) is payable when booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival. Payment to be made in full if booking within 8 weeks of arrival. We also ask for a breakages/damage deposit of £100 payable 1 week prior to arrival and refunded 1 week after your stay.
In the event of cancellation the following charges apply: up to 8 weeks to arrival - loss of 25% deposit. 8 - 4 weeks to arrival - loss of 50% of fee. Under 4 weeks to arrival - if re-let up to 50% refund.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible by contact with the owner.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week and include air-conditioning/heating, linen and towels. Short or weekend rentals can be arranged and priced by request.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
