Orange Villa is an ultra modern villa with lots of wow factor, Internet and parking for 2 cars. The land is split into the main villa plus an apartment underneath. Located on the edge of Nerja, (Punta Lara) yet close enough to walk to the beach in a couple of mins and the town centre in 20 mins. The 2 self contained accommodations, each have their own privacy. Most have sun or roof terraces, balconies, patios and dramatic sea and mountain views. Suitable for groups of 2 families etc, who want to go on holiday together, but can still have their own space. Can be rented out individually to smaller groups. There is a large communal pool a short stroll away, which is usually uncrowded. Most rooms have fantastic sea views and watching the sunrise or set over Nerja is unforgettable. Larger groups eg, sports clubs, wedding parties, etc can be catered for by combining the next door 'Casa Lola' ref s6252 to sleep up to 22 people but book early to guarantee availability.

i am a business owner and qualified staff nurse, I'm 48 years old, married with one daughter and two lhasa apso dogs. I live in a small town called Holywood just outside Belfast.

i strive to keep my tenants as comfortable, cared for and as happy as possible. so far it's working according to the guest book comments!

what's really important is a top notch management company who keep everything spotless, well oiled and running smoothly. my tenants are always happy with how well they are looked after, and it took me a while to find the right people for the job. it's all very well and good having a beautiful villa but i believe the secret is in the running, cleaning and management of it.

This was by far the nicest villa we have stayed in! It came very highly recommended by friends & exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, the view was amazing & the villa itself was immaculate. We found it ticked all the boxes & was excellent value for money. We had access to the internet & even caught up on all the news & kids programmes back home thanks to the freeview connection. On one side we had amazing views of the mountains & on the other side, beach & sea. We woke up to the sun rising over the sea from every room, truly amazing to take in. Our two young children also loved every minute as the location was spot on with the beach just minutes away.Theres a huge range of local restaurants & shops close by. The town centre was only five minutes drive by car so our villa location could not be more convenient. We couldn’t find a fault in our trip but must say that the villa was our highlight. We will definitely be back next summer if not before! (July 2012)

I took about 3 years (Jan & Feb only) searching up and down the costas to find somewhere that ticked all the boxes as Nerja did eg, authentically spanish - not over-run with tourists - the real Spain on the coast (hard to find) - friendly with easy access - plenty to do - near a major airport - cultured and very charming - beautiful restaurants and shops. That's Nerja!!

Special interest holidays:

Villa Naranja (Orange Villa) also owns the next door 'Casa Lola' ref no - s6252, which can sleep up to a further 14 people (total 22), meaning larger groups can be catered for eg, golf clubs, fishing clubs, walking clubs, wedding parties etc. Should you be interested in such a booking, contact the owner at your earliest convenience. These villas have proved to be very popular and large parties need to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Coast/Beach:

Only a 4 minute downhill walk and you're on a beautiful, quieter area of beach -sun loungers are usually available close by. A selection of restaurants, cafes and hotels can be accessed via a short stroll along the beach towards the town centre.

Travel:

45 minute drive to Malaga airport - a taxi will cost approx 100 euros, but I can arrange transport cheaper

Car hire is very cheap and petrol priced considerably lower then in the UK.

The infrastructure/motorways are superb making driving much easier then you'd think.

Taxis from the villa, are normally with you in minutes and cost approx 5 euros into town which takes 5 minutes, so a car is not essential although I do recommend one for sight-seeing and exploring the surrounding beauty of Nerja.

Distances:

5 min drive to town or 20 min walk along beach.

10 min drive to the famous caves of Nerja.

5/10 min drive to Torrox (next town).

45 min to Malaga City and Airport.

1 and a half hour drive (approx) to Marbella.

Further Details:

Nerja is a unique coastal town which still has an 80% Spanish population. Its laws are such that developers are not allowed to build over a certain height, keeping it non-commercialised and charmingly authentic. The whitewashed, pedestrianised and cobble-stoned streets meander their way past the many small craft, artistic and local produce shops, where you will thoroughly enjoy strolling at your leisure. Nerja is famous firstly for, the palm fringed, 'Balcon de Europa' (balcony of Europe) which is apparently, the only balcony into the Mediterranean sea and has beautifully, breathtaking, panoramic views of the whole coastline and the mountains. It is located in the town of Nerja and is lined with cafes, restaurants, craft shops etc. Well worth a visit!

Secondly for, Cueva de Nerja (the caves of Nerja) discovered many years ago by a local young boy while playing, these caves are like something you would imagine from Tolkiens, 'Lord of the Rings'. No visit to Nerja would be complete without seeing this amazing discovery! The month of August sees many performances in these caves including orchestra and opera. There are quite a few restaurants, pubs etc, within walking distance of this villa in Punta Lara, but the vast majority are in Nerja town centre, where there is also a street market every Tuesday.

Changeover Day:
Owners are quite flexible about changeover days, but please contact re. late arrivals which may incur a small surcharge for meeting and greeting out of hours.

  • Notes on accommodation: Outdoor lighting and smoke alarms throughout. High chairs and cots obtained on request. Welcome packs/food hampers can be arranged as requested and are especially useful if you arrive late at night. A service technician is contactable every day should you encounter any problems. Ample parking for up to 2 vehicles. BBQ and dining furniture area on main terrace. Outside: A communal pool is just a short stroll away and is on a small complex with a bar, cafe, pool tables etc. There are some patios, terraces and BBQ areas with outdoor dining furniture provided. The fantastic private roof terrace looks down over Nerja, and Costa Del Sol and the surrounding mountains with an almost panoramic views which many locals have described as "the best views in Nerja!". The sun shines on this terrace for most of the day and you'll notice the shading in the photo because it was taken at 5pm! Utility Room: Main villa - one main utility area/room housing one Zanussi washing machine, laundry baskets, pegs etc. washing line area outside. Apartment - zanussi washing machine and separate line area outside. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are supplied for each accommodation, although you may want to bring extra towels for the beach. The properties are cleaned for your arrival and you can request a mid holiday clean too, but we won't disturb you at all if you prefer not. Other: The main villa has a beautiful marble floating staircase leading to a viewing gallery with adjoining, private, upper roof terrace. The sea & mountain views are dramatic & hard to beat. This place is the nirvana making this property very unique!
