Stay Portugal Apartment Sofia (Rental Licence No. 7559/AL) is located in a peaceful location in the historic town of Lagos, our delightful 2 bedroom apartment is within an exclusive gated complex with a large swimming pool / sun terrace and dedicated parking space in the basement. The apartment is furnished to an exceptional high standard with a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area offering all the facilities you will need to enjoy maximum comfort during your stay. The large terrace benefits from a good deal of sunshine ideal for alfresco dining and sunbathing. Take a leisurely stroll (15-20 minutes) and you will reach the beautiful marina and historic walled town with it's maze of narrow streets lined with the finest shops and restaurants. You are also within easy reach of two supermarkets, several golf courses and beautiful beaches waiting to be explored. We feel that our apartment offers the ideal location for families, couples and golfers.

From the first enquiry of this apartment, everything went smoothly. The owners were so easy going and professional at the same time.

On our arrival, we were more than pleased with the apartment, we were wowed! It was wonderful to see that the pictures and write up we're a true reflection on this apartment.

The rooms spacious, modern, clean, a beautiful, comfortable home from home.

It was our first visit to Lagos, we enjoyed spending our evenings in the town and strolling round the lovely marina.

We would definitely like to return to Lagos and wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

All in all, a superb holiday.

Wonderful Apartment in Beautiful Lagos

Stayed at this apartment, 4 people for one week and what an amazing time we had!

The apartment is spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated with everything you need.

We enjoyed breakfast on the very large sunny balcony and evening drinks before wandering down to Lagos town.

The town of Lagos is beautiful we always walked there and back be it for a day on the lovely Maia Praia beach or out for anevening meal.

There are so many restaurants to choose from and we were lucky to find some small family run places, you will need to wander around the lovely cobbled streets in the old town to find them, well worth it though!

The apartment owner Andrew was most helpful, and always on hand to answer any queries.

We will definitely return but stay longer next time!

Luxury fortnight

Just back from 2 weeks in this lovely apartment. Having been in Portugal many times we rated this apartment as the best we have stayed in.

Spacious comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great balcony , lovely pool and handy for the supermarket. Excellent communication with Andrew who also organized transfers. nice stroll into town at night ( taxi back). great location for golf with fantastic courses like Palmares and Espiche wiyhin 10 minute drive.. would recommend this apartment to all

A relaxing home from home. High end apartment.

Our second visit to this beautiful luxury fully secure apartment. I can't recommend it enough. It is well maintained, with luxury furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Private undercover parking. Beautiful pool with private sun beds.

Just a short down hill walk to the harbour, and then a lovely stroll along the front to the delightful old town. with it's narrow little cobbled streets. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed Pizzeria Italia in the town centre, D. Henrique also in town, and Portafino on the Marina.

We also went to the beach this time. It is a lovely spotless sandy beach, which is very well maintained, and has ample parking.

Supermarkets are near by, and taxi's are very reasonable.

Excellent service again Andrew, thank you. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful apartment with everything you need

We would highly recommend a visit to Lagos and a stay at this beautiful and comfortable apartment which has everything you need to have a comfortable stay

The apartment is bright and spacious. It is tastefully decorated and the layout is good with the bedrooms off the main living area / kitchen. It is clean and well equipped with all the things would expect such as dishwasher, washing machine, clothes airer etc but also little things like kitchen foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products which meant we didn't have to buy large packets only to use a very small quantity. Also had TV with DVDs that came in handy when wanted to chill after a long day at beach. Everything is in good working order.

The apartment is on the 1st floor directly overlooking swimming pool. The balcony is spacious, larger than many of others and gets the sun throughout day. It feels very private and is lovely to sit outside and eat or have a relaxing drink.

The pool area is very pleasant. It is clean and well maintained. There are other families using the pool area but never feels crowded. The apartment has own sun loungers for use by the pool.

The apartment is well situated with supermarkets close by and Aldi only 100 metres away. I would however recommend you bring comfortable walking shoes because although the walk to town is only 15 mins you end up doing a lot of walking through cobble streets and and the way back is a bit uphill

Owners (dealt mainly with Andrew) were very professional and helpful during the booking, getting info about key etc on first day and even arranging a taxi to and from the airport. Deposit refunded very promptly. There was info in apartment about local attractions and services.

Lagos is one of the nicest towns we have visited. Just loved the old town and the bustling square. The town was always busy with lots of nationalities, mixed age groups, people in and out of shops and eating outdoors and street performers. Bought lots of pottery and handmade bits for the house. We planned several times to go to Praia Dona Ana but never got further than the Batata beach as my 15 year old son loved the waves and it was close. Best thing to do was the kayaking tour to grottos with Days of Adventure. Crew were brilliant made it so much fun.

Great break in Lagos

Lovely clean spacious apartment with modern furnishings and well equipped kitchen located 10/15 minute walk to town. Pool area clean and tidy with own sun beds, Wifi cost 15 euros for the fortnight and very handy for shopping Aldi and Lidl close by. Couldn't fault it at all. Found a lovely Italian restaurant Trattoria Vecchia Milano you must visit.

Honeymoon in Portugal

Once again we had a wonderful stay in the beautiful town of Lagos on the Algarve, this time for our honeymoon. The apartment is stunning and completely self-contained, extremely comfortable with everything you need, exactly as described, clean and very well maintained. The pool and gardens are regularly checked and for exclusive use of residents only. Shops are local and with just a short walk to the marina you can soak up the atmosphere with bars and restaurants ! This is our 3rd year in Lagos and we love every minute, thanks to Mark and Andrew for your customer service, always there to answer any questions and help, even when our original flight was cancelled! even down to arranging our transfers both from and return back to airport. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment if you want a hassle free holiday

Location

From the Owner

We first visited the Algarve in 2006 when we decided to have a family holiday in Portugal. We loved the Algarve so much that we decided to buy an apartment in the historic town of Lagos, in our opinion the most beautiful coastal resort on the Algarve. We have been holidaying in Portugal ever since.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro at 55 Miles Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

A selection of beautiful beaches can easily be reached including the lovely golden sand beach of Meia Praia and the town beach of Praia da Batata. There are also a number of small beaches and coves a short drive away - Dona Ana, Porto de Mos and Luz are just some. A little further brings you to the west coast where you can find some fantastic beaches.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro which is 45-50 minutes drive from the apartment. Guests may travel by train, taxi or bus. For guests not wishing to use public transport or drive themselves we can recommend a hassle free Airport collection service at a reasonable price. Visitors will be collected from the Airport and taken directly to the property and a pick up time will be arranged for the return flight.

Distances:

The apartment is ideally located within short walking distance of the lovely Marina and Old Town with its bars, restaurants and traditional/modern shops. With its charm and relaxed atmosphere Lagos has to be one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve. The nearest supermarket is only a 3 minute walk away.

Further Details:

No smoking or pets are allowed in the apartment, however smoking is allowed on the terrace. Upon arrival you have the option of either being greeted by our apartment manager who will present you with the keys, show you around the apartment and help you with any queries you may have or alternatively you can let yourself into the apartment by using the key safe. Either way you have the peace of mind that our manager is contactable throughout your stay should you need any assistance. Welcome packs, high chairs, children boxes & cots can be arranged at a small additional charge, please contact us for further details.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of £250 is required at the time of booking and then full payment must be received 8 weeks prior to departure. Late bookings within 8 weeks are to be paid in full. A £200 refundable security deposit will be added to the final payment and returned on inspection of the apartment at the end of the stay.

Please note we do not rent out our apartment when the entire group is under the age of 25.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival day entry is permitted after 2pm. Please leave the apartment at the latest 10am on the departure day.

Notes on prices:
Payment is accepted in Sterling by cheque or bank transfer.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: For your convenience and comfort the apartment is fitted with air-conditioning which doubles up as heating in the winter months. Thermal-coated aluminium electric blinds keep the apartment cool in summer and warm in the winter months. Each room has speakers and control panel linked back to the lounge where the TV or your MP3 player can be used on the surround sound system. The 32" TV is linked to a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and also a freesat box (limited UK channels). The visual and audible door entry system can be used to allow access into the apartment block. The apartment is child friendly and the use of a cot and high-chair is available with a small additional charge. WiFi is also available in the apartment. Outside: All rooms have access to a large private sun terrace with patio furniture, this includes a lovely table with 6 chairs, 2 tub seats with coffee table & two sun-loungers. The large pool / terrace is for the sole use for the guest staying within the complex and is gated to ensure its exclusivity is maintained. We have four sun-loungers and a parasol for use around the pool. The apartment has its own designated secure underground parking. Utility Room: An iron, ironing board and clothes dryer has also been provided for your convenience. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned on a weekly basis. Please provide your own towels for the pool and beach. Other: The terrace has a lovely rattan dining table with 6 chairs and a large parasol, two tub chairs with coffee table & two sun-loungers for extra comfort.
