About the property

Villa in Marina Rubicon, Playa Blanca. Very quiet location. 2 minutes walk into the centre.

This holiday home has been furnished to a very high standard offering the most up to date equipment and comfort. There is a large patio and mature garden and the swimming pool is heated. All facing south, thus ensuring sun all day long. The sunbeds have luxurious cushions for your comfort. There is a barbeque and outside dinning area for those alfresco meals. Free Wifi. Just 5 minutes walk from the marina will bring you to the golden sands of Playa Dorada beach which is very clean and sheltered. It has two beach bars and a few cafes nearby. A further 5 minutes walk will bring you into the Old Town of Playa Blanca. This is where the ferry leaves for Fuertaventura. The coastal promenade starts here, goes through the marina and finishes near Papagayo. Fabulous for walkers. This has to be one of the very best areas in the whole of the Canary Islands, coupled with year long sunshine, makes it an ideal holiday destination for families and couples.

About Amanda

My name is Amanda Taylor and I live in Lanzarote with my husband, Richard and our son Charlie. We moved here nearly seven years ago and decided to build a house in the middle of the Island. While our house was being built, we bought La Casita as a new build, in the marina Rubicon. We could see the potential of having a small house in this new development. We also enjoy sailing which is another reason for having a house near a marina.

Why Amanda chose Yaiza

We bought La Casita in 2005 when the new marina Rubicon had just been built. We could see then the potential of the area for a rental house. The layout is superb and there is an excellent variety of shops and restaurants on the doorstep, although still very quiet.

What makes this house unique

The property is just 2 minutes walk into the center of the marina. There is no need to hire a car as all the amenities are close by. However, there are 3 car hire shops in the area if you choose to explore the Island. There is a long coastal promenade which you can walk from one end of Playa Blanca to other. This is lit in the evening.

Notes on accommodation: There is a cot and highchair available at no extra cost and a blanket box with younger children´s toys in. Outside: There is a mature garden, patio, BBQ area and outside dining. The pool is approx 5x3m and is electrically heated. It is cleaned twice a week. There is off road parking. Utility Room: In the utility room there is a washing machine and clothes line for drying. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Good quality towels and linen are provided. Towels are changed half way through the week. Beach towels are provided at no extra cost. A welcome pack is provided including wine. Other: There is off road parking.

Perfect villa in quiet location

What a lovely villa, in a quiet cul de sac but only 5 minutes from the main Marina area. We loved our own pool and the sun on the patio all day with shade under the balcony. The supermarket can be seen from the bedroom balcony and the lovely upmarket Marina is just a five minute walk away. Lots of really good attractive restaurants are trying hard to provide high quality food. A good range of bars overlook the Marina. Couldn't fault this villa it had everything we needed ( apart from a sea view, but you can't have everything!) for a perfect holiday in the sun. Booking and contacts were easy. Amanda the owner obviously cares for her villa. We highly recommend.

The villa that has it all!

We've just returned from a wonderful week in Lanzarote. We've stayed on the Island a few times and our preferred resort is Playa Blanca and in particular the up market Marina Rubicon.

This villa was excellent and although we’d read the impressive reviews, it still exceeded all our expectations. The location was fantastic, as the villa is neatly tucked away in a small quiet cluster of villas. The advance communication from the owner, along with the directions were spot on and we found the property easily. Car parking at the property was a bonus and due to the location, in relation to the Marina, we hardly used it throughout our stay. It was just a couple of minutes walk to both the nearest supermarket and the Marina, which was perfect for us. The main resort, Playa Blanca was a 20 minute walk along the beautifully paved promenade.

On arrival the villa was exceptionally presented, spotlessly clean inside and out. The front garden is well tendered and the pool was cleaned twice during our stay. As the pool was heated this was well used by all of us, but especially our 5 year old son and pool towels were even provided. Although we ate out every day, the kitchen was well equipped and the owner, Amanda even left a welcome parcel, which included, water, milk, wine, biscuits etc. We met Amanda part way through the week, when she called in to drop off clean towel and she was lovely and welcoming.

I highly recommend this villa, if you’re looking to stay close to the Marina.

Fab villa in a great location

We found the villa very well equipped, we were really delighted with it. It has all the things you need for a perfect holiday. We found it spacious enough for 2 adults and 3 children (the third child was on a fold up bed) The pool was maintained well, clean and warm enough to swim in every day (December)

For us the biggest plus point was the location. La Casita is situated in the heart of the Marina, it has a supermarket, bowling alley and a variety of shops right on the doorstep. You don't need a car at all.

Walking into Playa Blanca along the promenade takes 20mins or so but is a lovely walk. Lots of delightful restaurants and bars.

If you book this villa you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back again soon.

Fabulous home from home

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. The villa was immaculately clean as was the pool and outside area. In a quiet cul de sac yet close to the Marina and only a couple of minutes from the local supermarket. This has to be the nicest villa we have stayed in with lots of little extras. From the diffuser for the hairdryer to dad's and games for kids. The welcome items were also a lovely suprise. We would definately return

Wonderful villa in a great location

We rented the villa with another couple for 10 days. The villa was well furnished and equipped with everything you need. The location was perfect with the beach supermarket, bars and restaurants only a VERY short walk away. It was lovely to enjoy breakfast by the pool and to use the BBQ in the evenings.

We loved it so much that our friends were already looking at dates for next year when we were there!

Spotlessly clean

We have been to several Villas over the years but this one stands out a mile. Spotlessly clean EVERYWHERE. The owner Amanda insists on doing it her self. She is a very pleasant lady and easy to communicate with, from the moment we chose to book. I concur with Michael C (below), the attention to detail is amazing for a holiday Villa, curtains cushions, colors all match. We loved this Villa and so convenient for the Supermarket that sells everything and the fab restaurants at the picturesque Marina. Thank you Amanda

Special interest holidays:

walking. There is a coastal promenade from one end of Playa Blanca to the other, not to mention plenty of dead volcanos to walk up!


The closest beach is that of Playa Dorada. Just 5 minutes walk from the Marina. The secluded beaches of Papagayo are just a 5 minute drive away. There is a long coastal path which is ideal for keen walkers. There are wonderful views.


Arrecife airport is approx 30 minute drive to Playa Blanca. It is a fairly straight road. A hire car is not essential as all amenities are within a very short walk.

Ryanair fly to Lanzarote nearly every day. Other airlines: Jet 2, Thomas Cook, Aer Lingus, Easy Jet, Monarch, First Choice, Thomson, and British airways from Gatwick

For car hire, I recommend Cicar and Autos Reisen for their competetive prices. Offices in the airport. To pre-book a taxi look on: www.lanzarotetaxi.com.


If you are planning to hire a car, I would recommend visiting the fishing village of El Golfo which is a 10 minute drive away. The volcano tour of Timanfaya is well worth a visit. That is just 15 min drive. The resort of Puerto del Carmen is approx 25 min drive.

Further Details:

The marina has a variety of designer shops as well as a new shopping centre that also offers Ten-pin bowling, mini golf and trampolines. There are 2 supermarkets, a bank, hairdressers, bakery, gallery and souvenir shops. Superb restaurants, tapas bars and cafes, car hire and a small petrol station.
