This apartment has been thoughtfully furnished & equipped to provide a perfect holiday solution for both families with babies/young children or adult groups who wish to stay in a larger property on the ground-floor with a private spacious outside terrace. The property is located a short walk from the seafront of Cabanas, a quiet fishing village only 35 minutes drive from Faro. As well as a stunning beach, Cabanas offers some lovely cafes/bars & restaurants & is well provided with supermarkets & a fresh fish and vegetable market. Apartment guests have the use of 4 different swimming pools located in a neighbouring complex a minute's walk away. Benamor golf course is just a 5 minute drive & there are 4 others within 15 mins drive. The pretty, historical market town of Tavira, with its Roman bridge, riverside cafes, churches & market, is a 10 minute drive. Cabanas has all you need for a relaxing break but is also a fantastic location from which to explore the beautiful Algarvian coast.

About Lorraine

We are the Goddard Family from Faringdon, near Oxford - Wes, Rachel and Jack (aged 5 years). We run a small bespoke kitchen and furniture business together. I take the management of our apartment very seriously as (just like everyone else) we work hard to have our holidays and we want to ensure all our guests have an amazing break and thoroughly enjoy their time both in the property and in Cabanas. Nothing gives me more pleasure than getting an email from a returning client telling me what a wonderful holiday they've had and I'm delighted to say that we get lots of those!

Why Lorraine chose Tavira region

We stayed in Cabanas during our last holiday before Jack arrived. We just fell in love with the peaceful, relaxing surroundings, gorgeous scenery & incredibly welcoming local people. Despite our intention of it being a relatively 'cheap' holiday, we found ourselves putting down a deposit on an apartment which was about to be built and waited (and saved hard!) for over a year for it to be finished. Ultimately, the wait was well worth it as the finish was superb and we were ecstatic with the final outcome. Cabanas is on the Eastern Algarve which is much quieter and more traditional than the Western Algarve. There are some stunning beaches along this coastline, Cabanas boasts one of the best. You can enjoy a peaceful holiday here or be more active, exploring all that the region has to offer.

What makes this apartment unique

We decided to create a 'home from home' experience for people with young families as by this time we were well aware of how hard it is to enjoy a relaxing holiday with small people to look after and entertain! The apartment is fully kitted out with equipment, toys, books & games for babies through to young teens. The feedback from all of our guests has been absolutely fantastic however the feedback from families with young children has been overwhelming. When guests don't have children with them, all of this stuff is packed away out of sight. The property with its very large, safe outside space really lends itself both to family holidays and for larger groups of adults. Very few properties in Cabanas benefit from this large outside space and we consider ourselves very lucky to have it.

We have a 5 month old baby & I'm recommending the apartment to everyone, particularly friends with babies & young children. It's not only very well equipped but very comfortable too. Cabanas is also very child friendly & we were made to feel welcome everywhere we went. It was our first holiday as a family & we're already planning our return next year!' Best place ever for young families

A beautifully spacious, clean and well maintained ground floor apartment with absolutely everything you need for a holiday with young children - and lots more besides. I wish we had found somewhere as well equipped and as safe as this when our children were young. The information in advance was spot on - beautiful terrace, four swimming pools to choose from and a heavenly beach just a short boat ride away. The village was nice and quiet with some lovely restaurants and shops. If you have young children, I would particularly recommend this apartment as there really is everything. Ours are older, but we still had fun with the games! The countryside is lovely and we had a fantastic ride through the orange groves on horseback, as well as loads of history and scenery to soak up. If you want to see the real Algarve, this is the place.

A breakage deposit of £200 is payable when the balance is due, this will be refunded within 14 days of your departure from the apartment.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible and agreed at the time of booking. We aim to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times, however, at peak times you will need to vacate by 10am to allow for cleaning prior to the arrival of incoming guests.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK £ irrespective of the number of guests, all utilities are included. The apartment sleeps a max of 6 adults or 4 adults and 3 children (1 in the cot). The equipment for babies/children is provided for your convenience and usage carries no extra cost. Stays of less than a week or long lets are by arrangement and can incur a supplement. The Availability Calendar is always kept up to date - do please check it before making an enquiry.

Winter Long Stays
This is a perfect location for anyone looking to stay for a month or more during the winter months. The apartment can be heated via an air conditioning unit in each room. We are open to negociation for long stays with utilities charged seperately. Contact us for more details.

Notes on accommodation: Apartment has air-con in lounge & all bedrooms for cooling/ heating the rooms. Ceiling fans are also fitted in the bedrooms. Windows have electric blinds to help keep things cool in summer. The property is non-smoking, however, an ashtray is provided for use on terrace. It's fully equipped for babies and young children. Graco travel cot (with bassinet) & bedding, inflatable readybed, bed-guards, changing mat, highchair, booster seat, baby intercom, nightlight, bottle brush, steriliser, bottle warmer, potties, loo seat converter, step, baby bath, door slam stoppers, small table & chairs, kids cutlery & plates, toys, games & books to suit most ages. When not required by guests, all of this equipment discreetly stores away out of sight. Comprehensive welcome pack is provided with our compliments. Given sufficient notice & for small additional charge, extra items such as nappies, wipes & baby milk can also be supplied at cost. Our British agent will greet you on arrival at the apartment. Outside: The apartment benefits from a very sunny large terrace (approx 80sqm) which faces east. Shade is provided by a large pergola under which are the 8 seater tables and chairs. Additional sun loungers and umbrellas are available. The terrace also has a barbecue and outside sink, perfect for alfresco cooking and dining. There are some outside toys and games for children including a small paddling pool and sit on/trike. Beach and pool toys (buckets/spades/armbands etc) are also available together with a sun tent. Guests have the use of 4 secure swimming pools (each approx 12x4m) on the adjacent development less than a minute's walk away. Access is via a key card provided on arrival. Close by there is an equipped and fenced children's play area with a very friendly cafe/bar adjacent that serves typically Portuguese food and drinks. Within a couple of minute's walk there is a small skate park and tennis courts. Utility Room: There is not a separate utility room however there is an ironing board and iron, clothes airer, pegs as well as two full width retractable washing lines on the terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Rental includes towels and linen. We do not offer maid service/linen change for clients staying more than one week as standard however this can be arranged for an additional charge. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. Other: There are DVD's, videos and CD's for both adults and children, a selection of adult card and board games as well as toys, games and books for children of different ages. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are fitted in the hallway.
