This luxurious apartment, set in tropical landscaped gardens with swimming pools and jacuzzi's, is situated close to the best beaches on the coast. There are many restaurants, shops, banks, bars and golf courses, all within a short distance. Secure underground parking space. 24 hr security. Lifeguards during July/August. Approx 10 minutes to Marbella and the charm of Orange Square, 20 minutes to Puerto Banus where the nightlife never ends.

Why Jo Clark chose Urbanización Hacienda las Chapas

We have travelled a lot and decided to buy in La Reserva de Marbella as it was very close to the beaches and the centre of Marbella. It reminded me of Santa Barbara, USA, having the mountains behind and the coast right in front of you. Our boys really love it too so it was a family choice. For us it has everything you need, beaches, sport and great restaurants and culture, the Spanish are so friendly and will always go out of their way to help you.

What makes this apartment unique

We both fell in love with the view from our terrace and felt that the apartment was bright, spacious and had a light and open feeling. The main bedroom had the benefit of walking straight out onto the terrace as well as the lounge. It is wonderful to sit on the terrace and listen to the birds singing whilst being just a short distance from the beach and Marbella. A little gem.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has hot and cold air-conditioning with individual thermostats. The terrace is available for smokers. Outside: A secure development with pathways and lighting, there are walks to enjoy through the landscaped gardens with streams, ornamental ponds and waterfalls. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and all towels and linen are provided. All sheets are Egyptian cotton. We had a fab time with my 3 best friends,very chilled, and relaxing apartment with everything you need, the view is amazing. The Tapas Bar/restaurant is very good value and very nic food, we would certainly come back

Great stay

We are a family of four and had a great couple of weeks here. The apartment is as described and is spacious and well appointed. Compared to many places we've stayed in Spain it kept lovely and cool and we only needed the AC at night. The pools and communal areas are all beautifully maintained and the pools were usually quite quiet with sun beds available.

It's well placed to visit loads of places along this coast and we'd recommend a trip to Gibraltar and also loved the cable car ride at Benalmadena.

You really do need car here though as nothing is within sensible walking distance, not in 32 degree heat anyway!

Would heartily recommend to others looking for a quality stay.

Adventure, disasters,helpfulness and tranquility

This was our first time in Spain. Jo was very patient and accommodating answering numerous emails and questions.

We couldn't find the apartment sat nav was no help! I phoned Natasha up who kindly drove to where we were.I told her my driving was not good ,"be gentle with me ". Natasha told us we were only 10 minutes away.We proceeded to follow her until I hit the curb and ripped open the front tyre.

She took control immediately dropped us at the apartment showed us around, left the granddaughter there with our luggage while we went back to the car to change the wheel.Natasha tried , my son tried but it just wouldn't come off .After 1 hour and numerous attempts we decided to leave it to the experts. Thankyou Natasha I feel so sorry for your poor oily hands!

Once we were back at the apartment we were amazed by its beauty and cleanliness , oh and the view WOW this place looks even better than the picturesque photos provided on Jo's site.

Once we had a cup of tea (thanks Jo for leaving us some milk and other sundries)we walked outside to find the 4 swimming pools to which the granddaughter spent as much time as possible in them. Everywhere was calm ,tranquil and stunning .

Waking up to the swifts/swallows busying themselves on the trees going backwards and forwards to their nests, the sunlight showing the way to Africa over the sea. Now that is how one should always have their breakfast.

Time was too short really wished we had booked for longer.

Once we had said goodbye to our paradise . We realised we still had 2 of Jo's keys.

Again Jo was her patient self . I would highly recommend this apartment and the people that oversee it. Book now people you really wont regret it.

Great apartment

We spent a week at this apartment. It was very spacious with comfortable furnishings. The terrace and garden were great with shade on the terrace and sun on the grass area all day so suited everyone. The beds were comfortable too. The owners have a comprehensive information folder with lots of restaurant suggestions in the area. The complex was peaceful and well kept.

There are many fabulous beaches, my favorite Elviria within 5 min drive, Cabopino port and the old port of Marbella are within a short distance.


The apartment is approximately 25/30 minutes from Malaga airport by car and 45 minutes from Gibralta airport. Car hire is recommended to take the advantage of the area. Bus services run along the coast in both directions giving access to Marbella and Malaga.


Marbella and Puerto Banus all within 10/15 minute drive. Further afield are Rhond, Granada, Seville and many other beautiful Spanish villages in the hills.

Further Details:

Bank and ATM machines are at the bottom of the road as is Opencor supermarket. There is a small mini mart next to our apartment.

Rental prices are per week for the apartment. Price includes use of linen and towels, electricity, water, a/c etc. We require a 50% deposit to secure a reservation. The balance plus deposit cheque of £200 to cover breakages/damages is payable 8 weeks before occupation. The £200 deposit less any charges will be returned within 14 days of departure. Cancellation Refunds. Up to 8 weeks no charge, 4-8 weeks 50% of rate refunded, 2-4 weeks 25% rate refunded, less than 2 weeks no refund. If you require a call out for lost keys there will be a charge of 20 euros
