This stunning penthouse apartment is situated in one of the best positions on the 'La Torre Golf Resort'. It faces south west across the course and lake towards the Clubhouse, restaurants and bars that make up the town centre on this fabulous resort, with the mountains in the distance providing a backdrop for the glorious sunsets. The penthouse contains two twin bedrooms, a sofa bed in the lounge, a large fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and heating in all rooms, ceiling fans in the bedrooms , lift access, underground parking and a luxury shiatsu massage complex hot tub Spa on the terrace.

About Steve

We bought the penthouse in Murcia off-plan in 2004 and got the keys in 2006.Every visit is a pleasure especially as the resort and course have matured so well. However these visits seem few and far between with work and other travel commitments so we thought it best to have some guests stay so they can enjoy it too ! We now have many returning guests each year which tells it's own story.

I like a round of golf so looking over the 2nd fairway is perfect for me, and its a short walk to the 1st also !

I try and make the most of the local restaurants and businesses, which are well worth finding as the best things in Spain are known by word of mouth generally, we have a good few towns and villages around that have their own character and something to offer.

Why Steve chose Cartagena & Mar Menor

Terrific climate even within Spain, year round sunshine, average temp is about 20 celsius. The area is not over run by tourists and we can still lose ourselves in 'the real Spain', discovering new places, some great beaches, lots of wildlife within a short drive and also changes in the eco environment, for example heading up to Sierra Espuna mountains.

We enjoy finding new places to eat and there are many local independent restaurants who produce really good food sourced with only local ingredients, and they charge sensible prices. With Murcia being the 'breadbasket' of Spain its rewarding to find and enjoy the food from the area.

What makes this apartment unique

If i come for a long weekend i will avoid driving and just chill on the resort, bbq on the terrace or eat in the resort centre. Swimming, relaxing and hot tub will feature highly on the agenda, whilst reacquainting ourselves with local wines.

What the penthouse has over most others on the resort is one of the best positions with regard to convenience to the facilities but far enough away not to hear any unwanted music or human traffic ! Oh and watching the sunset over the mountains to the west from the hot tub with a G&T or similar.

perfect with everything you need - the hot tub is just amazing, vino and sunset with luxury and gorgeous view - amazing! sofa and beds were very comfortable and the towels for bathroom and shower were really appreciated. You have great golf courses on your door step, the best views of the complex and 2 cities and lots of beaches within 30min drive.

I went with the family and the flat was spacious for 5 of us and everyone had a great time. Notes on accommodation: The two bedrooms are both setup as twin rooms ie, two beds in each. At your request these can be put together in double format or you can do this yourselves of course. Outside: The penthouse has a large terrace overlooking the golf course and lake toward the Clubhouse, with dining furniture seating 6 and 2 reclining sunbeds. There is a BBQ and a top quality shiatsu massage hot tub, perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset over the mountains in the distance. A further terrace leading from the kitchen is perfect for breakfast overlooking the pool or simply for golf club storage. The penthouse has one of the resorts large pool complexes on either side and is not overlooked. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen, including pool towels are all included. If you wish to have linen changed during your stay or require extra services please arrange directly with my property manager.

Another Fantastic holiday

Fabulous stay in the penthouse - this is our 3rd visit and returning later on this year. The penthouse has all you need to make your stay perfect. Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher & washing machine - and air conditioning throughout. The views from the balcony are superb and sunsets amazing - we had dinner on the balcony a few times and relaxing in the hot tub is a perfect way to spend an evening.

The apartment itself is wowrhin easy walking to the main clubhouse, bars and restaurants. All in all a perfect place to stay.

Owner's Response: It's great to hear such positive reviews from returning guests. I'm sure the few little upgrades we've made help to keep things fresh, the wooden pergola on the main terrace has been wood-stained as has the Spa/Hottub and some new items of furniture are in place. Some soft furnishings and lounge rug are new and kitchen items have been updated or replaced. The internet service was recently upgraded and our apartment block is amongst the first phase to be upgraded. With the hotel confirmed by it's owners to be opening this summer it's all good news for La Torre Golf Resort and incoming guests.

Fantastic holiday in penthouse

Fantastic 10 days at the penthouse & already booked for 2017. Stunning views on balcony & large hot tub to enjoy watching sunset. Great kitchen facilities including washing machine & dishwasher,2 large bedrooms with ceiling fans & lovely living room. Plenty sun beds & beautiful pool. Steve the owner is very easy to deal with & very flexible when making arrangements. Ideal for a golf holiday or relaxing family holiday & weather this October was fantastic & always in the 80's.

Just home from a lovely holiday in this penthouse apartment. Fantastic views of the pool and the golf course. Brilliant facilities and the hot tub was a lovely bonus. The apartment was very clean and we enjoyed the bbq too.

This is the second time we've stayed at this fantastic apartment & have already booked for August this year too! We travel as a family (2 adults, 2 children aged 15 & 11) and the spacious, clean and well equipped apartment has everything we need from wifi (that you can also use by the pool as you sunbathe) to washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and the amazing hot tub on the terrace! The beds are comfortable and there's air con in both the bedrooms & lounge. It's a home from home. The view over the second hole is fab and you also overlook one of the many La Torre pools. The apartment is very secure with the safety door on the ground floor providing access. One of the things we love about La Torre, having stayed on resort 4 times now, is how safe and friendly it is. From the apartment, it's a short walk to the small supermarket that has most things (freshly baked pain-au-chocolate for breakfast are a must) and a short walk to the restaurants/bars/clubhouse. The booking process for this apartment is very straightforward and Steve (the owner) is really helpful. This is the most perfect place to relax, unwind and with year-round sunshine, we will always return. Thanks Steve!!

delightful stay

This was the 2nd year in a row we have rented Steve's appartment & are already planning another stay next year.Great location with fantastic views of the 2nd hole as well as clubhouse & bars.The apartment has a hot tub to die for & being in the hot tub watching the sun set with a cool beer in your hand is the business.Also dishwasher & washing machine are very useful.Steve is a very easy guy to deal with & took on our commemts regards new sunbeds last year.i cannot recommend this appartment enough.

The resort is a 20 minute drive from the safe, sandy beaches of the Mar Menor, a warm natural lagoon sheltered from the main Mediterranean Sea by a long sand bank. Los Alcázares, on the Mar Menor, has some of the finest beaches on the Costa Cálida, several of which have won awards for their high standards.

Numerous water sports are available, including sailing and scuba diving. Further along the Mar Menor coast are the fine sandy beaches at San Pedro del Pinatar.


The La Torre Golf Resort is just 15 minutes drive from Murcia's San Javier airport (MJV), 60 minutes from Alicante airport (ALC), making it easily accessible and affordable from anywhere in the UK using any of the budget airlines (e.g. BMIBaby, Easyjet, RyanAir, Monarch, Jet2). We recommend hiring a car to truly give you the opportunity to explore the region. To visit the other prestigious Polaris Resorts at Mar Menor and El Valle, a free luxury coach shuttle service is provided.


Murcia the bustling capital of the region 15 minute drive. Los Alcázares, on the Mar Menor, a beach resort with numerous restaurants and bars 15 minute drive. Cartagena, originally an important Roman port, it is now a busy cosmopolitan town 30 minute drive.

The nearest town called Roldan is a 10 minute cycle ride or 5 minute car ride away. I've walked it myself many times. Roldan is a typical town for the area and offers most things you'd expect should you want a change from the resort or to check out the town. There are a few more towns or villages nearby also.

Please have the contact numbers for the property managers with you so that upon arrival at the airport you can call them, if arriving by car please call an hour before your anticipated time of arrival.
Ensure that you have the 60 euros fee ready in euros to give to the managers upon arrival.

I'll then send you a rental agreement and upon receiving that from you I'll request a 25 % deposit to secure the booking. About a month before your travel date I'll request the balance payment and upon receipt you'll receive check in details with contact info, location,etc to ensure an easy arrival and check in.
