This exclusive 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom, fully equipped apartment offers high a very standard of accommodation for 4 to 5 people.

There is an amazing large swimming pool equipped with sun beds and a life guard in the summer season (excellent for children). The apartments are surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. A private garage area with direct lift access to the front door. Communal WiFi is easily accessible and active through out the day.

La Herradura is one of the few remaining un-spoilt villages on the Costa Tropical that can offer a truly Spanish experience in a tranquil environment.

The apartment is just a 15 minute walk, 2 minute drive from the beach and a wide selection of bars, ‘chiringitos’, restaurants and shops in La Herradura town, not to mention the nearby variety of additional beaches on the surrounding coastline.

A vehicle is strongly recommended. This coastline is an area of outstanding natural beauty, designated as a Parque Natural' ideal for walking with spectacular views, secluded beaches and pine clad mountains. Keep an eye out for the free range wild mountain goats who will keep you amused early morning.

Owners provided very helpful information about the apartment and the surrounding area both before arriving, and in a brochure at the accommodation.

It is 20 minutes walk downhill to the beach, and a further 10 to 15 minute walk to village centre.

Beautiful location, lovely family home.

Fabulous part of Andalucia, difficult to find the apartment, despite owners directions, but worth the trouble. Great views, lovely complex, and a comfortable apartment. Well equipped, and very efficient air conditioning - thankfully! Car absolutely essential as the village and all ameneties some distance away, and apartment top of a steep climb. Subsequent views spectacular though.

Outside balcony stunning, beautifully furnished, we were reluctant to go inside!

Pool in the complex fabulous, and spotlessly maintained.

A lovely spot, and an obvious family home.

Perfect for Relaxing

Our holiday at Las Terrazas, Carmenes Del Mar La Herradura was wonderful. Las Terrazas is a residential block where there are mostly Spanish residents, with some British. It provided a relaxed holiday where it was easy to assimilate into the Spanish way of life.

The apartment was quiet, clean, perfectly equipped with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. The pool area was never busy and upkeep of the complex was continuous but never noisy.

Rob made our booking simple and was readily available if needed.

The walk into town and the beach area was a 20-minute walk again with beautiful views and the return, uphill at 25 mins.

The pebble beach, although not white sands, was nevertheless beautiful with its horseshoe being surrounded by the town shops, indoor market, restaurants and cafes. In June, it was not touristic, mostly frequented by locals.

Locally, 10-20 minute car journeys took us to Nerja, Almenecar, Frigiliani, Salobrena for sightseeing and supermarket shopping, Cerro Gordo and many local beaches for sightseeing and swimming. Malaga Airport at 45mins driving was perfect.

I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday destination and accommodation.

Great apartment - a home from home

The apartment is in a smart, secure complex with lovely views over the bay. It is extremely spacious and comfortable and has everything you could possible need. We had a great holiday here - extremely peaceful and relaxing and would definitely go back again. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and has thought of everything you could possibly need. It's also a wonderful place to stay for visits to Nerja, Salobrena and Almunecar.

A wonderful appartment in a great setting

We had a great holiday in this wonderful apartment.

It is in a lovely complex with a great sized shared pool, staffed daily by a lifeguard. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The beds comfy, very well equipped. Everything was first rate. We were a family with two children. I'd thoroughly recommend this apartment for families and couples.

Special interest holidays:

Scuba diving is very popular with numerous businesses offering different types of courses and equipment hire. Divers will find some of the best underwater scenery here of anywhere along the southern coast.


There are many beaches in the area but the nearest main beach is located in La Herradura a good, safe beach with many bars and restaurants and is approximately 5 mins drive away. Over the headland is the naturist beach of Cantarijan which has two restaurants and is about 2km away. Part of it is naturist. The coast between Cerro Gordo and Nerja is a protected natural park, with several beautiful beaches.


Malaga airport (AGP) is the nearest and is approximately 50 mins drive away. Car hire is recommended to fully explore the surrounding mountains and coastal villages.


10 mins drive from Nerja with beaches, shops, restaurants, and nightlife.10 mins drive to Almunecar with water park, soft play area, beach, shops and restaurants. 60 mins drive to the beautiful Granada, the Moorish capital with the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and relaxing thermal spas.

Further Details:

From the Alhambra to Salobrena for culture lovers and from Pauerto Buenus to Motrel for beach, shopping activity lovers. There are small supermarkets, banks, a newsagent selling international newspapers, and a daily market. All within a short walking distance. Although there is a significant international population in La Herradura it continues to resist the commercial excesses of similar areas on the Mediterranean coast. You have a good choice of restaurants and traditional Spanish bars. Above all, La Herradura is a place where you can sit and relax over a coffee, watching the people go by, enjoying the view.

Payment is requested in Sterling. There is a 30% deposit required within 15 days of booking and the balance must be paid 6 weeks before arrival. There is a refundable damages deposit of £100 refunded within 2 weeks of departure or collected from the agent upon receipt of keys. Breakages or damages to the apartment must be replaced or notified to us by the Departure Date.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is the preferred change over day, although this is fully flexible if bookings allow. You may not be able to enter the apartment before 2pm on the day of arrival and may have to leave on the day of departure by 11am. This is also flexible.
