This light and spacious luxury apartment has been furnished with style, quality and comfort in mind. Has the advantage of a prime south facing position to enjoy the glorious Algarve sunshine and beautiful romantic sunsets. Set within an exclusive small development and furnished to a very high standard. With Free fast Wifi and high quality internet TV. All British channels Sky sports and news. Catch up, Movie channel. Advantage of switching to other European channels. Beautiful landscaped gardens. Walk through large french doors from either the bedroom or sitting room on to 2 furnished balconies which have breathtaking views overlooking the ocean, pools and open countryside. Ideal for alfresco dining and watching the sun rise from one balcony and sun set from the other. A further private terrace with table and chairs at the rear of the apartment enjoys uninterrupted countryside views. My favourite place to sunbathe. The onsite facilities of 3 pools (one a children’s pool) and tennis court are for the sole use of guests. In fact it promises all that is necessary for an enjoyable relaxing holiday whatever the season. A real home from home With everything you could possibly need provided to enjoy a wonderful relaxing holiday. Sleeps 4. As well as a separate bedroom with king size bed and fitted wardrobes there is a large comfortable sofa bed in the lounge which has a high degree of privacy and its own large wardrobe and cupboard space.

About Geraldine and Alan Dean

We live in the lovely Yorkshire Dales in a picturesque 17th century cottage. I work as a community Macmillan nurse and my husband Alan is a quality manager in the pet food industry and no he doesn't have to taste test! Our 2 children long flew the nest. Although we enjoy travelling nowhere beats our holidays here.

Although we had visited the Algarve for many years this area was unknown to us. When we stumbled across this newly built apartment in such a beautiful setting we were bowled over. It was the stunning sea views and the quality of the fixtures and fittings and the friendly village that we bought then and there and have never regretted this quick decision.

As we were one of the first to buy our apartment is in arguably the best position on the complex.

What makes this apartment unique

Unique benefits are the sea views, the position on the small attractive complex, landscaped gardens,delightful pools including a children's pool and the friendly people. Only a few minutes walk to several very friendly bars and restaurants and 3 beaches. Value for money. Your euro goes a long way!

Our 5th time here. Love the apartment and the area. Enjoyed walking along the safe cliff walks with amazing views of the ocean saw Dolphins on a couple of occasions. Love sitting on the sunny balcony with a book and a glass of wine. My husband and myself really relax here. Several very good restaurants 10 minutes walk away. Beginning to feel like a local! And have already booked our 6th visit.

Fantastic home from home apartment

apartment was 1st class. Ideally situated with awesome views on a quiet complex, with shared pools. 5 minutes away from the local beach, supermarket close by. extremely well equipped and couldn't have asked for more.

Amazing apartment! A fabulous stay in a great location

We stayed at Geraldine and Alan's apartment for 10 days in August and could not fault it... The apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything we could ever possibly need! The location is perfect - walking distance to a very well equipped supermarket and less than 5 minutes to the beach. Lovely swimming pool and fab view from the balcony - we will definitely be back!! Geraldine and Alan were great hosts and so easy to communicate - a big thank you from us! Sophie & Tom

Beautifully maintained inside and out

A very well thought out decor makes Vista do Mar an absolute gem of a holiday residence. The property has everything you could want for your stay; including tennis rackets and balls, beach umbrella, family size cool box, beer cooler!!

The owners provide a comprehensive folder of information about the property and a good supply of books, CD's and DVD's.

The pool area's are well maintained and very clean, each apartment has at least 2 Sun lounges allocated.

Couldn't ask for more! Will definitely pay a return visit!

Vista Do Mar, Alporchinos, Armacao de Pera.

A lovely, clean, spacious and comprehensively equipped apartment situated on the first floor of a modern low rise complex with both sea and pool views. Situated in a quiet area but with a choice of good restaurants within easy walking distance and a short walk to the sea. Everything needed for a relaxing holiday is in the apartment and the nearest beach is a short stroll away. The two balconies have sun from early morning until evening and enjoy lovely sea views. I was most impressed by the owners attention to detail and corresponding with them was simple with quick and informative replies. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Lovely homely apartment with fantastic views from the balcony

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Geraldine and Alan's apartment, it was clean, homely with every facility for cooking, listening to music, information pamphlets, cool bags for days at the beach, sunbeds and toppers for the pool. Beach and restaurants and supermarket was easily reachable by car or by foot if feeling energetic. Would have no hesitation on recommending this apartment it was absolutely perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Excellent apartment and lovely setting

Our second visit to the apartment and found it to be just as wonderful as our first visit 5 years earlier. The standard of the apartment is excellent with everything you need to make your stay special, even having a foot pump for my lilo was really useful. The apartment is spacious, very clean, beautifully furnished and the air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom was very much appreciated. The views from the balcony are lovely and the location of the apartment is great overlooking the pool, It's within walking distance to the local supermarket, restaurants and the beautiful beaches. The buildings and gardens are kept to a very high standard. I would certainly recommend the apartment and hopefully we will return for a third visit. Gill and Richard

Senhora da Rocha is conveniently situated in the centre of the Algarve coast. Ideal for touring although a car is not necessary. There is a regular bus service and cheap reliable taxis and to be honest everything you could wish for is in the village. Several good bars and restaurants, Large Intermarche supermarket with bakery and 2 smaller supermarkets. 5 star hotels with public access to luxury spa's. The busier town of Armacao de Pera is 20 minutes walk or a 5 euro taxi drive away. There is also a lovely cliff walk into Armacao de Pera.

A 5 minute stroll takes you to arguably the Algarve’s 2 most beautiful beaches. Firstly, Praia Nossa Senhora da Rocha, with full amenities, this is where the local fisherman land the catch of the day. Has a beach bar and restaurant, pedeloes and boats for hire. Secondly, Praia Nova, a quiet peaceful beach connected to Praia Nossa Senhora da Rocha by a short tunnel. Both are overlooked by the historic Senhora da Rocha chapel perched on the cliff tops.There are panoramic views from here and wonderful sunsets. Other numerous, easily accessible beaches dot the coastline.


Areias de Porches is located in the heart of central Algarve with excellent access to the N125 main road and the A22 toll motorway, which links the west Algarve to the east Algarve and Spain. Faro airport - 40 minutes drive along the A22 or 50 minutes along the 125 main road. Car hire is available from the airport. A shuttle bus operates from the airport to the resort at a reasonable charge. Taxis are readily available and affordable.


The lively resorts of Armacao de Pera and Albufeira are 5 minutes drive and 15 minutes drive east along the N125. Vilamoura with its marina is 25 minutes drive. Several golf courses are within 15 minutes drive. Porches a typical algarve village is a 5 minute drive. Here you will find several potteries making the typical colourful Algarvian pottery. Porches has several very good restaurants. The retail outlet Algarve shopping has many shops, restaurants and Cinema and is a 15minute drive away passing through the town of Gale famous for several piri piri chicken restaurants. A day spent at zoo marine is highly recommended 10 minutes drive away as is a day at the waterpark Aqualand.

Further Details:

The following are just some of the activities to enjoy. A regular bus service runs to Albufeira and Portmao. The Algarve is famous for its golf courses and the apartment is near several championship courses. Salgados, Alto, Pestana, Vale Da Pinta, and Gramacho. Historical monuments, medieval villages, towns churches, snorkelling, diving, fishing, stunning coastal walks and boat trips visiting awe inspiring caves. Walk along the coastal paths with breathtaking views, stopping at a deserted beach for a refreshing swim, cycle along the many cycle routes.The area is a haven for bird watching.These are just a few of this areas many attractions. Booking Notes:
A 25% deposit is required on booking. The balance to be paid 42 days before departure. Provisional bookings will be held for 7 days while awaiting written confirmation and deposit. A £100 breakage bond is required with final payment. This will be returned within 3-4 days after departure providing no damage has occurred. To date 100% of damage deposits have been returned.

Changeover Day:
The changeover day is flexible to take advantage of midweek cheaper flights.
Arrival and departure times are flexible unless other guests are arriving/departing the same day. Time is required to prepare the apartment. Departure times will then be 11am and arrival times 3pm.

Rental prices are based on 2 guests sharing the apartment. Extra guests are £3.00 per person per night extra to cover additional costs.
Discounts are available for bookings over 30 days November - March. Good value with all utility costs included. Please enquire for special rates for longer lets in the winter months.

Cancellation Policy
Cancelled bookings will receive a refund of 25% if cancelled 16 weeks before departure date. Cancelled bookings after this date will not receive a refund.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
