About the property

Villa in Balcon al Mar, Cap de la Nau, Javea - Situated In The Tranquil And Prestigious Area Of Cap De La Nau

This beautiful modern detached villa sits in the quiet Cap de la Nau area of Javea and enjoys extensive sea views. At the same time it is just 4 miles from Javea's centre with it's 3 aspects: the blue flag sandy beach (lifeguard attended in the main season), the working port and old Gothic town. The villa's 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms accommodate 6 people comfortably. The well stocked Mediterranean style garden with palms and orange trees is both secluded and enclosed by a secure gate inside and there is ample room for parking. The floodlit 8m x 4m swimming pool is set in the privacy of the back garden. Excellent local restaurants and supermarket are just a short walk away from the villa. Javea is a family friendly resort which boasts up to 325 days of sunshine per year and the World Health Organisation has designated the area climatically and environmentally, one of the healthiest places on earth.

Very relaxing villa with everything you could need

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Villa Marzo and are a family of four with 2 x teenagers. To save me writing and the reader time I agree with everything in David T's review. It gives a pretty good description of the Villa. I would add that this place is a lot bigger than the pictures give it credit for and the pool area is very private and a sun trap all day long. We did have slight concerns before we are that no air conditioning might be a problem but it actually wasn't at all. The big ceiling fans in all the bedrooms do a great job of keeping the rooms cool along with the natural fresh breeze from the coast that's virtually constantly present in varying degrees. Once you have found your barings with a little drive about and some help from the information books left in the villa doing the daily shop to stock up with fresh food and other essentials is easy and we too ate in the villa every other night. I have to say the barbecue is fantastic and we had some great meals out of it. If you want a vast abundance of restaurants to choose from the Arenal beech area is just 15 mins drive and has dozens to choose from. The same area in the day time provided us with a day at the beech, lunch out and jet skiing safari. More local to the villa if you don't want to drive are really only 2 or 3 restaurants and our absolute favourite was Mirador which has the most fantastic views, excellent food and service. Also just next to it and up the hill a little is a very "posh" restaurant that we are in one night that was very nice but quiet expensive. However by visiting there we discovered the little bar that has fantastic views and great big gin and tonics along with some limited bar food and tapas. Many a happy hour was spent there the last two weeks 😄 Tony and Niki who own the villa were very very helpful during the booking process and their communication is excellent in content and prompt.

A quick point from the kids.... the wifi is actually very good which is something they usually complain about when we go to other Villas.

We would recommend Villa Marzo to anyone looking for a quality Villa in a nice peaceful location, remote enough to be quiet but close enough to the bright lights if you want them.

Stunning Villa Marzo

  • 5 of 5

We have just arrived back from Villa Marzo where we had our best holiday ever. The villa is wonderful. Very spacious with a light and airy feel. The two bedrooms downstairs are a good size and share a lovely bathroom and the third bedroom is upstairs in the turret with it's own nice ensuite and balcony. The kitchen, lounge and dining area inside are a great size and well stocked with all your everyday living essentials.

But the outside area is really the best thing about the villa. The pool is perfect with six sun loungers around it (very comfortable) and the sun is on it all day long. The barbecue and paella burner are good and we cooked on these most nights and ate on the 'naya'. There are two good restaurants within walking distance should you prefer to eat out, one five the other ten minutes away. You need a car here to buy goods from the supermarket as there isn't one nearby. We travelled 10-15 mins by car everyday to stock up (a nice quiet drive) to the Arenal beach area and here is a lovely big sandy beach with lots of shops and restaurants.

We spent most of the time at the villa though which is very peaceful and secluded.

Tony and Nicki who own the villa are great and the communication was excellent. The management team are at hand should you need anything and the villa is very family friendly.

All in all the holiday was brilliant and very relaxing and we hope to return sometime in the future.

Beautiful, relaxing Villa with Stunning views

  • 5 of 5

Just as good as described if not better. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The Villa was in a quiet area but still only a short drive to shops etc. We particularly loved the beautiful secluded pool surrounded by a well kept garden area and overlooked by a traditional 'Spanish feel' outside dining area. We have a young daughter so we were delighted to find every possible kind of inflatable, toys, games and DVD's available to ensure there was never a dull moment. The Master bedroom has a delightful balcony to enjoy relaxing evenings taking in the sea views with a nice glass of wine. Kind and helpful owners who have clearly gone the extra mile to make sure we didn't have to. I would most definitely recommend this Villa to friends and family.

One of the most enjoyable family holidays

  • 5 of 5

You couldn't wish for a better villa for your family holiday. the owners have thought about everything you could possibly need during your stay and provided it. The pool was lovely and the terrace is a sun trip. I would advise anyone to book a holiday here. Thank you. I will be booking again soon.

Beautiful villa in idyllic surroundings

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth visit to Villa Marzo having stayed there the previous few years in both the summer months, Easter and Christmas / New Year. The area is quiet and friendly with beautiful views. The villa is always clean and presented to a very high standard with sea views, balcony, private garden and pool. One of our favourite restaurants is a short walk from the villa, a family friendly restaurant with fantastic food and service. There are other restaurants in walking distance as well as a lighthouse and local tennis court. If you're looking for a more lively atmosphere, the Arenal and beach is a ten minute drive from the villa and has a variety of restaurants and bars from fish restaurants and steak housesto tapas restaurants and traditional Spanish cuisine. The beach

The owners are very helpful and the villa is always well presented throughout and the local agents are local and very helpful should you need them. The old town of Javia is a 15 minute taxi ride down the hill where there are lots of really nice bars and restaurants. The local beach 10 minutes drive away has had a face lift and there are lots of bars and restaurants. Buitiful villa would highly recommend it.

Car: recommended

Javea is renowned for it's natural beauty and there are many walks of varying difficulty: Cap de la Nao itself, with it's working lighthouse is just half a mile from the villa. A spectacular coastline with breathtaking views. Portichol (Portitxol) and La Granadella, both favourites and just a short distance from the villa. The beautiful sandy beach (El Arenal) is only 4 miles from the villa and is flanked by restaurants, bars and shops. There are other, smaller beaches nearby.

Villa Marzo is well served by 2 international airports. Alicante airport is around 1 hour and 15 minutes drive south, whilst Valencia airport, to the North, takes slightly longer at approx 1 hour 30 minutes.

Javea's centre is 10 minutes' drive from the villa, whilst Moraira is 15 minutes away. If you wish to travel slightly further, other places of interest include the Port of Denia, Montgo Mountain Natural Park, the Algar Waterfalls at Callosa, Guadalest (and it's Castle), the Marine and Exotic Animal Park (Mundomar) in Benidorm, the Water Park (Aqualandia) also in Benidorm, the City of Valencia and the wine producing village of Jalon Valley.

Further Details:

There are a few excellent restaurants in easy walking distance of the villa and also a high-quality supermarket. The larger resort of Calpe with it's prominent rock just off the coast also has a sandy beach and is about 45 minutes drive south of Javea. There are several local markets. The Javea market is weekly each Thursday (closes around 13.00) and the town also has a fish market which opens at 18.00 most days.
