Apartment in Blanes, Costa Brava, Spain - Quiet Location in Old Town, 5 mins to the Beach

This is a new top floor apartment built in 2006. Furnished in luxury contemporary style. 3 bedrooms. From the back of the apartment there are wonderful views of Blanes and it overlooks a shared pool with shallow and deep ends, surrounded by lawned garden. Children's play area in the gardens. The apartment benefits from a large southwest facing terrace with teak garden furniture as well as a large rooftop terrace. This terraces get sun all day are ideal to have a drink and watch the sun set. The apartment is just off the main hustle and bustle of Blanes centre and the beach is 5 minutes walk. Car park is available. Blanes has some wonderful blue flag beaches and an exceptional choice of restaurants. Girona and Barcelona airports are within easy reach.

Fabulous Family Holiday

The apartment is in a fantastic location in Blanes, we didn't have a car and were able to take a ten minute stroll down hill to the beach, shops and restaurants. The uphill stroll back was good exercise or if too tired we took a taxi for ?6. Blanes is a lovely town with lots going on but it has not been overly commercialised like its neighbours. The beach was busy but not overcrowded and the shared pool at the apartment was never busy.

The apartment has been finished to a high standard with everything you could need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The apartment is modern, homely, and welcoming. The balconies are great places to eat, drink and chill whilst the shutters and air conditioning make it a cool santuary after a hot day on the beach. We would have no hesitations in recommending the apartment and will definitely be re-booking.

We travelled to and from Blanes from Barcelona which was a very easy and cheap journey and a day trip would be a great day out.

We would also recommend exploring Blanes as the views from the hill top are breathtaking and the whole area is stunning scenery.

Tony was very helpful and friendly dealing with our booking and offered lots of information to make our stay as relaxing as possible.

Coast/Beach:

The property is 5 mins walk from the beach. Blanes boasts several sandy beaches, from small secluded coves to a golden sand beach several kilometres long. Theres is a multitude of bars and restaurants along the beach.

Travel:

Barcelona airport 70km. Girona airport 20km. Blanes railway station 2km. Car hire is recommended to visit neighbouring towns and villages as well as Barcelona, but train and bus service very efficient and inexpensive. Car not required if staying in Blanes.

Distances:

Barcelona 55km. Girona 35km. Tossa de Mar 20km.

Further Details:

Blanes has a long history of a fishing village popular with Spanish holidaymakers and more recently with international tourism. It has developed around the old town and fishing harbour and its 4 km of sandy , blue flag beaches are never crowded. The restaurants on the seafront cater for all tastes. From 21 to 28 July Blanes hosts the International Fireworks Contest. Besides the obvious attractions of its many wonderful beaches, the Costa Brava (meaning Wild Coast) is also an ideal base from which to explore the countless treasures of Catalonia. The regional capital of Barcelona must surely rank as one of the most fascinating cities on the planet with its mind-blowing Gaudi architecture, Pablo Picasso museum and world-famous La Rambla Boulevard. Europe's biggest water park is located just outside Lloret de Mar and the Marine land complex near Blanes is another hugely popular family day out with its dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows, water slides, reptile house and children's zoo.
