Long term rentals welcome from November until March. Outside: Terrace furniture includes 4 sunloungers, a large table, 4 chairs and 1 umbrella. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided for you. Linen for the cot is also provided free of charge. Maid service is provided once a week. Towels are changed twice a week and linen once a week.

Peaceful Location on Old Town

Great accomodation in a superb location.

Situated just next to the coastal footpath, high above the beaches, the property is close enough (4-5 minutes) to the Old Town and the tunnel to the beach (3 minutes) to make it a great base. However, it is still far enough away from the bars and restaurants to ensure you are not disturbed - it is not on a route used by people heading in and out of town and as such, you can expect peace and quiet in the evenings. The property has 2 large bedrooms with lots of wardrobe space, an open plan living / dining / kitchen area and then some steps up to the private sunny roof terrace, with its day long sunshine and sea views. Sun loungers, umbrellas all supplied. The bathroom has a good shower and is very clean. Unlike at many villas, all the extras you sometimes have to go and buy (toilet paper, soap, shampoo etc.) were there in abundance. Even sun cream. That was appreciated. The same can be said for the kitchen - rather than the usual empty cupboards, these were full of all sorts of things that you may need, from teas, coffee, sugar, herbs, cooking oil and lots more. There was plenty of cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, a large fridge and an excellent (and very clean) cooker. Even a coffee making machine and juicer. Rare to see in these properties. Within 2 minutes walk, there is a supermarket which stocks everything you are likely to need, no need for Lidl or Aldi which are a mile away. Very good, fast WiFi and a massive television. No parking nearby, so maybe not ideal if you have a car. Taxi from Faro is about 40Euro each way and can drop you off 30m from the door. Also, bear in mind this property is quite high above the old town and beach so be prepared to climb lots of steps to get home. Filomena was very professional and helpful from the first contact - she has a gem of a holiday home, we shall be back!

Very well equipped, comfortable house in a superb quiet location within easy reach of all amenities

This property is a real gem and a credit to the owner. The location is ideal with easy access to beach, restaurants, shops and transport. It comes very well equipped with just about everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cant wait to return as soon as possible. Our lasting memo of the property is the fact that it is in a beautiful situation yet so quiet and peaceful. Our holiday didn't start very well due to the collapse of Monarch Airlines the minute we arrived at the airport. A quick change of flights meant we started a day late but the kindness of Filomena the property owner enabled us to stay an extra day at the end. We are already planning our next visit which will hopefully be in the spring. Finally we can't emphasise how much the property contributed to a very enjoyable holiday.

La casa está genial, a pie de playa, y zona muy tranquila a la par que a unos minutos de la zona de restauración, bares, tiendas y demás. La única pega, las ventanas sin persianas.

Just on the top of the cliffs of Albufeira beach, 5 minutes walk.

10 mins drive away are Oura, Gale, Salgados and São Rafael beaches as well as a number of sandy coves that are a little quieter. High surfing, paragliding, water skiing, jet skiing, scuba diving and snorkling. Albufeira Marina offers many boat trips which is the best way to see the beautiful coastline.


The cottage is just 30 minutes drive away from Faro airport. Car hire is not necessary.


The newly built harbour and marina is just 10 minutes walk from the cottage where boating and fishing equipment can be rented out. Excursions on yachts, motorboats or catamarans to view the caves all along the coast to the "end of the world" at Sagres, are offered locally.

Further Details:

Kids will be thrilled to see the numerous theme parks ranging from Zoomarine to The Big One or Krazy World, all within 15 minutes coach drive away.
