Luxury Apartment in Quarteira/Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal

Newly built 3 storey block with 8 apartments. Our apartment is a penthouse top floor with luxury items that we have purchased including king size leather bed, top quality bed linen/towels, 32" flat screen TV, Sat system with BBC/ITV, iPod Station. It has underground secure parking, lift to floors, 2 balconies, entry phone system. fully equipped kitchen with tumble dyer/wash m/c, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Easy reach of 9 championship golf courses within 10 min drive - Vila Sol 10 min away. 10 min walk to beach. Great Portuguese restaurants 5 min walk. Marina/casino, dozens of top restaurants 10 min drive away. Water park 10 min drive. Airport 20 min drive. Don't really need car when here. The complex has 3 blocks with about 28 apartments, mostly Portuguese owned and lived in. In fact the Father and son who built the complex live opposite mine and thus was built to a very high standard. We love the place and one day we will live there so we have taken time and money to furnish.

About Steve Brobyn

Hi, we are Steve & Elaine, and we live in Essex. Both of us work & are self employed. Elaine was born in Romford and me - I'm an Islington boy! Elaine & I have been going to the Algarve for over 20 years now - holidaying most of our time in Vilamoura. We decided to buy our apartment in Quarteira 3 years ago (the apartment is 4 years old) because we felt that we wanted to live aside the Portuguese people. We love the area - it has some fantastic restaurants, a wonderful beach plus it's a good base for us to explore the Algarve even further. We have made the apartment as our second home so that one day we can spend more time there when we both retire!

Why Steve Brobyn chose Loule region

The beach is a 5 min stroll away. Vila Sol golf course is a 5 min drive away and Vilamoura marina is a 25 min walk away. Faro Airport is not too far (25 min drive), plus the Bus Station/Taxi Rank is also a 5 min walk away and is extremely handy. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby and we have a fantastic promenade with lots of bars & restaurants there too. There are actually about 5 golf courses in the area, plus a huge waterpark where you could spend most of the day with the family. The local Tourist Office situated along the front promenade is the ideal place to gather even more information whilst visiting the Algarve and they are most helpful.

What makes this apartment unique

We have furnished our apartment to a high standard, and have made a great effort to make it feel like a home and not just a 'holiday let' apartment. We had great enjoyment picking out the furniture and fittings. We once travelled to Lisbon via Loule station which is approx a 10 minute drive away & then travelled on a very fast train which took us about 3 hours. There are of course many other destinations for you to discover, and also to remember that we are only a short distance from Spain.

Dear Steve,

Just a note to say thank you for the use of your beautiful apartment. Well it really was like going from one home to another, with everything we could possibly need inside there.

The pool was lovely and clean, you could not fault it at all.

I must say it is well positioned for being able to walk to the beach and along the promenade. The beach was lovely and clean.

It was the first time we had been to the Algarve and that gave very good first impressions.

The Spol café was very nice and very reasonably priced, a handy place to go when you don't want to venture far. Also we found the Picnic Restaurant was nice especially the Kebabs, it just cost a bit more.

If we decide to come again, we will definitely ask to use your apartment, if its still available.

Notes on accommodation: There is air-conditioning/heating. It is set high so you overlook the sea, town and hills. Would be suitable for families. Sorry no pets and strictly no smoking. Outside: Private garden and pool, not heated with key access. There are 2 patios/balconies both with table and chairs, offering a very quiet and screened place. The pool is approx 40ft by 20ft, surrounded by lawns. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment is cleaned once a week with a change of bedlinen and towels.

The apartment was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could ever need. The layout was great with balconies overlooking the pool area and the snack bar on the ground floor was a bonus.

Modern, beautifully furnished apartment in a great location.

Had a fantastic week at Steve's apartment - better than we could have hoped for! Accommodation was 5 star and being above a great cafe and bar added to the whole experience. Recommend the tapas at the small bar across the road and great coffee from cafe spol! Steve made everything easy and his dining recommendations were spot on. Will definitely return! Great!

Beautiful apartment in lovely Quarteira

A very well appointed apartment just a few minutes walk from Quarteira,the beach,restaurants & bars.The apartment is tastefully decorated,very well equipped & extremely comfortable.Situated above a bakery/restaurant ( the water bread is incredible),who made the most delicious cake for my sister's 50th birthday were so friendly & helpful & the cappucinos are very more ish.

The gardens are so well kept as is the pool & maintained to a high standard.Close to supermarkets for all the little essentials & we particularly enjoyed eating at Ben Bom so much we went back again.

The beach is superb & beds/brolly costing 12 euros for the day is affordable.We liked the section of beach by the Dom Jose hotel as the little beach bar & public toilets were very convenient.

We enjoyed our stay in Quarteira & the apartment so much it's high on the priorities for another stay next year,many thanks Steve for your kindness & attention to detail.

We have just returned from 2 relaxing weeks at the lovely Spol apartments in Quientera, the apartment has everything you could possibly need is tastefully decorated and in a good spot to explore the local area. Nice pool, lovely beach just 10 minutes away and very reasonable prices for food and drink. All in all a great destination and we will look forward to returning at some point in the near future.

Great modern and well equipped

Appartment is clean and well equipped with really comfy bed!! And everything you could possibly need to self cater

For the week although we chose to eat out .lovely balcony eating area for morning coffee and evening drinks .

We only used the pool area a couple of times because we loved the quiet beaches so much .

It is a realistic 10 min walk to the beaches ,quarteria was a great place and only a 30min stroll to vilamoura if you want a change of scene and a more touristy area ,we preferred to eat in quarteria where there were many Good value quality cafes and restaurants and desert /cake shops/cafes

Spol cafe below appartment worth a breakfast stop for coffee and toastie only a couple of euros for 2people!!

Cake shop on the front a must for a latte and cake again only about 2euros each and the cake is huge !!

Great water park only 6 euro taxi ride away

Would definitely recommend a stay here and enjoyed the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the area

Excellent place to stay

We stayed at this apartment for three weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment is large, spacious and very comfortable. We felt it was a home from home. The owners care very much about their clients and were anxious to ensure we made the best of our holiday.

The cafe/restaurant below the apartment will make breakfast a breeze, and so cheap. Two euros buys you the biggest cheese and ham toastie I have ever seen. Add a coffee for a euro and you are set for the day. We would love to return, thanks to Elaine and Steve.
