Villa in Los Urrutias, El Carmoli, Costa Calida - Peaceful Location, 5 minutes walk to Beach, Spectacular Sea Views, Two Balconies and rear patio

Sleeps 6. 3 bedroom property with private pool and beautiful sea views from both balconies.

The top balcony is perfect to barbecue, or enjoy evening drinks or tapas, whilst admiring the sea views & sailing boats, Also ideal for private sunbathing. If you are an early riser, you can enjoy the breath taking beautiful morning sun risers

Perfect to re charge your batteries and escape the everyday stresses.

The bottom balcony also with sea views, is shaded, giving you time out from the heat and sun if desired. There are also 3 optional large sun canopies at the rear patio where the private pool is. We also have plenty of comfortable pool loungers.

A patio to the rear has a private swimming pool 24ft x 14ft, There is also a communal pool if you want a change of scenery.

Comfortably furnished including a Plasma T.V , Wifi, CD player & iPhone 4 docking station, the property also has air-conditioning, in the lounge and main bedroom, with portable units in bedroom 2 & 3.

A Communal pool (private and gated for our community) is within walking distance, where you'll meet other owners or holiday makers.

The Mar Menor (sea) and beach is a 5-10 minutes walk, lovely and peaceful & never over crowed even in the main summer months.

Los Urrutius is a small coastal village, next to Los Alcazares. It has a small supermarket, beach bars (peak months) & local restaurants. There's a Thursday market until 1.30pm with a cafe & couple of bars nearby. Central to everything, this location is perfect for active families as well as retired vacationers or couples on a romantic get-away. A car is essential.

If you want nightlife, lots of busy markets, bars and restaurants (holiday makers hub) go to Los Alcazares which is only a 5/7 minute drive away.

Plenty of night life can also be found on La Manga strip or La Manga club, just a 20 mins taxi drive away.

Local activities available are surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, horse riding, golf, wind-kiting, water skiing, mountain biking etc. There is a book of interest and places to visit in the villa with recommended places to eat and drink.

Other places of interest

There are historic roman ruins in Cartagena. You can set foot in the Mediterranean 20 minutes away in La Manga.

About the Owner

With 4 children it was important to us to have a guaranteed sunny break, with flexibility. We love having the choice of dining out, or simply barbequing on the balcony. The flexibility meant we didn't have to rush from the pool to dine out if we wanted to simply chill, eat alfresco and wander out for drinks & entertainment later. As the children got older, we were able to still watch them in the pool from the balcony. (30 seconds to get to the pool if necessary!) Also relaxing with a drink on the balcony knowing the younger children were safe in bed was priceless. We holiday here four times a year during Winter & Summer months as the Seasons here are wonderful. We love the Climate, food, flexibility, facilities, space and tranquility.

Laid Back!

We stayed in the villa for October half term. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing week away with our kids, and we got exactly that.

Located 15 minutes from the airport, the transfer was quick and painless. We were very lucky with the weather which enabled us lots of pool time and to do our favourite thing, sitting on the roof terrace to eat breakfast in the sun. La Manga, with its many restaurants, isn't too far away, and closer still is Loz Alcazares, which has got everything you might require, from local shops and restaurants to a Lidl.

There is a beach and promenade at the bottom of the road in El Carmoli, but better ones to be found just a short ride away. Lots more to explore locally. We took trips to Cartagena and La Manga which were both well worth a visit.

When contacting the owner, they were swift to respond. We will look to visit again in 2016.

A Great Place to Stay

We would recommend this property to someone who desires a good standard of accommodation, in a quiet area but within easy reach of a variety of attractions. The property was a home from home, very clean and airy. The generous private balcony at the top of the front is a must in the mornings (watch the sun come up over the Mar Menor). In the afternoon the rear terrace is a sun trap with a lovely pool to cool off. Inside all the latest mod-cons are provided and I particularity found the WIFI very useful. Los Urrutias is a nice village but we found we ventured more towards Los Alcazares for restaurants, shopping and beach. Take a trip to La Manga strip to see a contrast and treat yourself to lunch and a game of mini golf at the famous La Manga Club. We will be back to this place for sure.

a rural paradise

I had a very pleasant stay at this villa. It was a taste of luxury to have your own pool. The house had everything you could possibly need with panoramic views from the roof terrace. It had the beach within walking distance and enough restaurants/ shops just a short distance away. With the option for more just a short drive to the nearest town. I will definitely be booking again, highly recommended.

We purchased El Carmoli 2006, because we love the Sea view, beautiful sunrise & the rural Spanish sea side village with only a 10 min walk to the beach. In addition to a communal pool, we have a private pool 25.5ft x 14.5ft, which has totally enhanced this property. A relaxing treat to totally relax in privacy, bbq by the pool or drink on the balcony with sea view which is priceless. We love having the flexibility of not having to rush from the beach or pool to dine out if we wanted to simply chill, eat alfresco and wander out for drinks & entertainment later. Once here, we tend to stock up and not go very far at all……..We holiday here four times a year during Winter & Summer months as the Seasons here are wonderful. We love the Climate, food, flexibility, facilities, space & tranquility.

Situated in the quiet region of El Carmoli, this three bed villa is an ideal family retreat. With the warm shallow waters of the Mar Menor some 200m away, watersports, golf, go-karting, and horse-riding within easy reach, this villa caters for a variety of needs. Situated 20 minutes from Murcia (San Javier) Airport and 45 minutes from Alicante Airport, 3km from the lovely resort of Los Alcazares, with its numerous shops and restaurants. Travel:

Nearest airport San Javier Murcia or 1hr away Alicante airport. Flights are available via Easy Jet, BMI Baby, Monach, Ryanair and Jet 2. Car essential. Car hire comapnies are lastminute or carjet.

Distances:

Our local supermarket (Uppers) on the main street pprox 1km has a butchery and fresh fruit/veg section. They sell beer, spirits and wine (from the barrel). Nearest town Los Alcazares boasts a magnificent beach featuring various bars and restaurants. There are several large supermarkets shops cinema's bars nightclubs. This town holds its traditional spanish upkeep, yet still provides a wealth of entertainment and activities. Car essential.

Further Details:

A wide variety of water sports are on offer at the beach club on the Mar Menor with qualified excellent tuition. Pre bookable activities include include sailing, windsurfing, water sking, turbo rides, wet jets and plenty more. To find out more contact the activities center situated at the tennis centre.

Private pool, communal pool, beautiful sea views, beach walk in 10 min, beach huts (peak season) promenade, bike hire, private sun bathing. Local Market, shops, bars restaurants nearby. Winter sun all year around, or much needed shade in the Summer. The quiet beach is not commercial, or packed in peak holiday times. It's important to us to recharge our batteries, as we have a busy business, family and social life. This property gives us back our sanity as we chill and get back to what its all about, healthy living, pacing yourself and re-energising. It allows us to reconnect with each other and the children. We walk or cycle everywhere, although driving is allowed! The next town Los Alcazares 5 min drive is busy with many bars, restaurants, shops and market places, so best of both worlds

The pool is not fenced, although there are lockable grills on doors to keep children safe inside when not supervised. There are stairs to the property and stairs to the garage area and bedrooms. New property built in 2007. Outside: Portable bbq, so easy to decide where to cook. Large patio area to rear of property, with private pool large upstairs terrace with amazing sea views, and downstairs shaded terrace to the front of the property with sea views. Communal pool as an option. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided. Over 4 people, an extra charge of £12.50 per week will be added.
