Apartment in Los Alcazares, Costa Calida, Spain - Close To Restaurants And Beach

Our spacious apartment is on a small exclusive complex, named El Divino, which is impeccably maintained, and our private, south west facing balcony, overlooks the pool. There are many good restaurants and bars, also a few supermarkets within easy walking distance. The blue flag beaches of Los Alcazares are famous for their shallow, calm waters, and are just a 10 minute walk away. This is ideal for families with young children, although the area does suit people of all ages.

About Frances Simmons

I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, with my husband Geoff. Our daughter and family do not live far away, and we have two grandchildren, both boys. Our son lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand, but we are always in touch. I have been retired from nursing for quite a few years, and recently Geoff retired, so we hope to spend a lot more time in Spain, and I am trying hard to learn the language.

Why Frances Simmons chose Cartagena & Mar Menor

We love Los Alcazares, as it is an interesting and picturesque Spanish town. There are a lot of places nearby to visit. Geoff is a keen golfer, and there are are so many great golf courses in the vicinity. The town is situated by the beautiful Mar Menor, with a lovely beach, that runs the whole length of the town, and has views across to La Manga.

What makes this apartment unique

Our comfortably furnished apartment has a private balcony, being on the first floor, with lovely views over the pool. The location is great, as it's only a few minutes from the shops, bars, and restaurants. It is then a few more minutes to the beach, and only 5-10 minutes to Murcia airport.

Outside: There are two pools with surrounding gardens, both with a children's pool, which are beautifully maintained and provide a pleasant environment. The garden areas are gated, and therefore safe for young children. The residential community of El Divino has garden and pool rules designed for everyone's safety. There are plenty of free car parking bays outside the gates to the complex. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cleaning cost is included in the price, and will be cleaned for your arrival and again when you depart. All towels and linen are provided, including beach towels. Other: On the balcony are table and chairs, sun loungers for your use by the pool. Beach umbrellas, children's beach toys, and beach towels are also provided.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location.

Just back from a two week stay at this lovely apartment. It has everything you need for your stay in Los Alcazares. It is spotlessly clean and in a great location close to the main square. The grounds of the complex are well maintained with huge palm trees to shade you from the sun when at the pool. The owner Frances was a pleasure to deal with and as mentioned below the welcome from Lynne on arrival was much appreciated. Highly recommended , a real gem.

Fabulous Apartment and very helpful owners

The flat is absolutely brilliant, very clean and with all creatures comforts provided.

It is centrally located and very near the beach, although there is a lovely communal pool available

We could not ask for anymore.

We would reserve this property without hesitation

Elaine and Cath 2nd year in the great apartment

Fantastic apartment everything you need is there. The balcony overlooks beautiful gardens and pool and gets the sun till late evening, great place to chill.

Great resort, numerous places to eat and drink, this will our second year here and we still havn't eaten in them all.

Lovely apartment

Had a wonderful week in this apartment. We stayed just as a couple however having two bathrooms makes it ideal for two couples or a family. Sunny balcony overlooking lovely pool and gardens. Ideal location for us close to several supermarkets. Lots of bars and restaurants just s short walk away so plenty of choice if you choose not to cook in the well equipped kitchen. An abundance of golf courses within 30 minutes drive of this apartment so heaven for us! Frances was a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole booking process - thank you Frances. The welcome and welcome pack from Lynne was very much appreciated - thank you Lynne. Would definitely recommend this apartment. Thank you Frances for allowing us to enjoy your Spanish home.

Impressed.

The apartment was very clean,it had everything you would need in the kitchen. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. It's so close to the Shops Restaurants and the Beach. My only negative is no WiFi in the apartment. Other than that is Brilliant. 😊

great location

We had a great time in this apartment. Everything was as described and no shortage of bedding towels etc. It was clean and well-maintained throughout with sun loungers and beach chairs which we made use of. Dene met us at the property with the keys and was very helpful when we rang for advice on a couple of occasions.Although it was December , we had sunshine on the balcony until late in the afternoon. We cycled around the resort ( there is a cycle hire close by) and there is a paved path along the beach.I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a break with bars and restaurants close by and a short walk to the beach.

Location

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beach, which extends for 5km, skirts the warm waters of the Mar Menor, and is within easy walking distance. The delightful promenade, away from the main road, is lined with palm trees, and is a perfectly safe environment for all the family. There are water sports by the beach in summer, and boat trips from various points, to La Manga, and round the islands in the Mar Menor. The marina is near the old town, where there is a large market every Tuesday.

Travel:

The apartment is only 5-10 mins from Murcia/San Javier airport, so car hire is not essential. It's 55 mins from Alicante airport, 20 mins from Cartegena, and 35 mins from Torrevieja.

Buses run to Cartegena, and Murcia, both interesting cities to visit

Distances:

Ten minutes ride away is San Javier, the coastal area being Santiago de la Ribera. A little further is the interesting resort of San Pedro del Pinatar, famous for it's mud flats. Travelling the opposite way for 30 minutes is the picturesque town of Cabo de Palos, then you are near La Manga (the strip between two seas! ) which is up to 300m in breadth, and 21km long. La Manga has a major marina port, hotels, apartments, and many holiday facilities, including beaches both sides of the strip.

Further Details:

Shops, including a supermarket, banks, and internet access are in the centre, just a few minutes walk away. There are three other supermarkets on the main road, within walking distance. A shopping trolley is available for your use. Also, the centre has a good choice of bars, most have free wifi, and some have entertainment. There are some excellent restaurants, offering a variety of international cuisine, and also free wifi.
