Villa in Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal - 5 Mins Drive to Beach and Marina. Ideal for those who like a peaceful location but close to main

This 3 bed attached villa, situated in a closed complex with security backing onto the Old Golf Course in the prestigious Vilamoura resort. Spacious and furnished to a high standard. The ground floor has open style dining and living area, ( dining table seats 6) kitchen, and bathroom. A spiral staircase connects to an overhanging balcony opening into each of the bedrooms and bathroom. Includes a fully equipped kitchen, AC, satellite TV , front and back terraces, balcony off master bedroom, alarm system and a communal pool. All utensils, linens and towels are supplied, including a weekly cleaning service. There are lots of services close by including supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, golf courses and a golf academy. A bus stop serves the area 200m from the villa and there is also the local Vilamoura train service (it runs on the road) that serves the beaches and marina. So you can survive without a car though it is useful should you wish to see more of the Algarve. Please note, check out time is 12 noon and check in time is 4pm. We can be flexable if there are no other guests arriving or departing, but please check with owner for late check out or early check in.

From the Owner

It has its own gated secure entrance, it is a very peaceful area, but within 4-5 minutes in taxi, you are at the 1000 berth Marina, where there are lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, casino & shopping.

Activity and Interests


Vilamoura has wonderful clean beaches and the largest marina on the Algarve or in Portugal. All the beaches are within 5 mins drive. To the west, you can walk the Falesia beach for over 6km uninterrupted towards Albufeira into the sunset. To the east you can walk to neighbouring Quarteira and along its magnificent promenade and further along the beach to Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.


Faro airport is only 25 mins drive. A taxi costs from about 40-45 euros, which we can organise if required. Vilamoura is served by local and national bus services across the Algarve and into Spain and also to Lisbon. There is a bus stop for local bus services within 200m of the complex and the on road train service around Vilamoura passes regularly each day. So you can survive without a car though it is useful if you wish to see more of the Algarve. Taxi to marina costs around 4.50 - 5.00 Euro


Vilamoura Marina 3km, then going east... Quarteira 5km (fish, farmer and flea markets), Quinta Do Lago 20km, Faro 40km, Spanish border 100km... going west, Albufeira 15km, Portimao 60km and Cape St. Vicent 100Km. Up the hills there is the market town of Loule 20km. Lisbon is 240km.

Further Details:

There are a number of great water parks nearby. Very good supermarkets, and an excellent supermarket in Albufeira which has everything you could possibly need. Shops will take Visa and Lazer, and there are ATM machines at marina. Great shops around the Marina, and also the Forum (indoor and outdoor) shopping centre and cinema at Faro, and Guia Shopping centre in Albufeira is excellent. Horseriding, fishing, water skiing, and boat trips locally also.

We are flexible with changeover dates, also where possible, we will facilitate early / late arrivals or departures if at all possible.

Notes on prices:
If you are interested in renting for the month of November, December, January, or February. Please contact the owner. Would suit golfers, or if you just want to spend any of these months in warmer climate!

Here, you are surrounded by great championship golf courses, an abundance of restaurants serving a wide variety of food to suit all tastes and budgets. Car hire is very affordable, and there are so many interesting towns which are easy to get to....Loule etc. There is a a train service, where you can prebook first class with breakfast for a day trip to some of the larger cities in Spain and Portugal. Bicycle hire is also an option, there are cycle paths all around the area. Supermarkets have an great choice of fresh local produce, and wines. There is a bus route outside the main gates. For children, there are a number of water parks nearby, also Zoomarine.

  • Notes on accommodation: A new air conditioning system was installed in recent years. Cot available. Board games, Playing cards, DVD Player, CD Player, Books (take one, leave one) Outdoor table & chairs for al fresco dining and some beach toys for children. There is also a small library at reception. Outside: The complex has its own security at the entrance and the gardens and shared pool are beautifully maintained all year round on a daily basis. The back of the villa has a large open lawned area, which is suitable for young children, but it is not completely closed off. There is also a coffee shop & WIFI available at the reception area. Utility Room: There is plenty of additional storage space throughout the villa and to the front and rear. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: No hidden costs. All linens, towels, gas & electricity incl. A cleaning service supplied when over 7 days. Maid service can be organised more frequently at extra cost Basic food supplies / taxi pick up from Faro if required, can also be arranged. Other: Master en suite bedroom has its own balcony overlooking the front of the villa and to the west for sunsets. The pool is 100m from the villa. The back of the villa has a patio area, and patio furniture for al fresco dining.
