Dear Frederique,

We really enjoyed our stay at Bargemon, thanks for everything, including the very detailed directions. It's a lovely house and so nicely decorated it was a real treat staying there.Francis

Exceptional spot.

What a wonderful property. The house accommodates 6 adults nicely, more if there are children. The kitchen is well equipped and there are many scenic spots to dine, each with its own wonderful view. The sitting room is charming and very comfortable.

The pool is elegant and the plantings around the property add to the charm.

The walk into town is less than 10 minutes, where you will find 2 nice bakeries, a boucherie and several very good restaurants. Alex

A truly exceptional spot . We loved every minute of our stay.veronica

Your house is beautiful with amazing views and how lovely to be surrounded by so many books - a real home from home.Briony

Today is bank holiday and very wet so we began thinking about next year's summer holiday, everyone is agreed that we would love to come back to Bargemon, but maybe fly next time!! We are currently thinking about 2 weeks, 15-29 Aug. Is the villa available? Briony

Home from home

We spent a lovely relaxing holiday in this beautiful home from home. The views are breathtaking and the pool is large. The villa is set on a hillside with extensive grounds which gives it a lovely sense of privacy, but with the village only a few minutes walk down the hill, where there are shops and restaurants providing everything you might need. There are many surrounding villages to visit with daily markets and we also enjoyed a day trip to Monaco. We loved it so much we've already booked it again for next year.

We keep coming back!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year renting in the area (and from this owner). This was our second time at the Bargemon villa. We had our 7 month old son with us this time and Frederique could not have been more helpful. The grounds are huge and the villa is very roomy with the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms lending privacy for families. The views are breathtaking and the pool is so refreshing in the summer heat. it is a short walk down to the charming village center.

Charming villa, Bargemon

  • 5 of 5

8 members of my family spent 2 weeks at this lovely house last year (2013) and had the most wonderful time. Perched above the peaceful of Bargemon , the view takes your breath away anew each morning. Being September and also high up, the heat was never oppressive, yet it was still warm enough to eat outside at night. The house is charming and lacks for nothing and the surrounding countryside provides endless opportunities for leisure pursuits/sightseeing, gastronomical adventures – depending on your interests. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa as a special place to stay in the South of France.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Yoga at a centre near by.

French cookery lesson at Institut de La Gastronomie in a village near by.

Coast at St Raphael, St Tropez and other beautiful villages dotting the coast is between 30 and 45 minutes depending on time of day and ..year.

Nice airport is an hour away.

Several villages of note are within 20 km of Bargemon, which is itself a destination for many. The village which has been featured in Conde Nast, The New York Times and other publications several times, is home to several world celebrities.

Further Details:

Several good restaurants, one pretending to be gourmet (perhaps is), two banks, one post office, a mini supermarket, a fruit and vegetable shop, a butcher, two hairdressers.

A Michelin starred restaurant for serious eaters 15Min drive away.

As for the village - prepare to be enchanted: Bargemon (500m above sea level) has medieval origins and is a good example of a typical Provencal village. Daily life is still in the provencal tradition all year round, accommodating to the annual swell of tourists while still retaining its local charm. Every narrow street in the village, every shaded square and fountain is an historical reminder. Close by are other delightful villages like Bargeme, and there is easy access the lakes of St. Cassien, St Croix and France's compact Grand Canyon, the Gorges du Verdon.

In addition to its arresting scenery, Bargemon is known for its pure spring water (which can be bottled free).
