Apartment in Albufeira, Central Algarve, Portugal - Conveniently Located Close To Beaches, Golfing, Restaurants, Shops, Bars And 'The Strip'

This new Luxuriously furnished First Floor Apartment with balconies overlooks a large pool, a children's pool and landscaped gardens. Perfectly located close to beaches, bars, restaurants, leisure activities, golf, shopping, and theme parks. The spacious main bedroom has two single beds which can join to make a double if required. The large sitting room has two sofabeds which can sleep a further 2 persons if required. The complex also has its restaurant, mini golf and playground. There are two South facing balconies with outside table and chairs accessed via sliding doors for relaxing outside in the evening.

There is a dedicated underground parking space with an elevator to the 1st floor. There is very easy access from Faro airport only 30 minutes away (36 Km). Guests can easily access the leisure facilities at the nearby Bella Vista Hotel which has a jacuzzi, steam room and heated pool. It is only a 10 minute drive to the 'old town' and 5 minutes from a large selection and variety of bars and restaurants. Two sandy beaches are only a 15/20 minute walk away. Perfectly suited for couples,families or those seeking activity holidays.

Albufeira: Retaining all the character of its fishing village origins, Albufeira has become a lively, sought-after and fashionable resort with its beautiful sandy beaches. Albufeira is a very popular holiday destination offering something for everyone from the Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, the numerous sandy beaches nearby and the cafes, bars and restaurants of the strip. A unique atmosphere can be experienced in the Old Town with its white washed houses and Moorish arches around the main square. You can relax on Praia da Pescadores or Fisherman’s beach where the fishermen can still be seen bringing in their catches. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants along the promenade, some with roof terraces overlooking the sea. Many have outdoor seating available for a spot of al fresco dining where you can relax and enjoy a glass of Portuguese wine whilst watching the world go by. The eastern side of Albufeira is lively with busy nightspots. The strip leads down to Praia da Oura beach which is a golden sandy beach. In this area , there is a huge range of restaurants and shops which are open throughout the evening in the summer. Local activities include diving, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing, and paragliding. Parque da Corcovada amenities: The 5 star complex of Parque da Corcovada is closely located to restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets and fruit / veg markets. On site, there is a snack bar with a full range of very reasonably priced Portuguese and European dishes. The snack bar also has a full bar, internet access, and dining areas outside on a large terrace. Excursions, day-trips, and boat trips can be booked at the Modelo shopping centre (Sat/Sun) or at the local reception.( Mon - Fri). Everything is so convenient that a car would not be absolutely necessary. Taxis are locally available and are reasonably priced. The local bus route runs regularly from outside the complex every half hour. A tourist train also runs every 20 minutes from a nearby stop on the strip down to Praia da Oura and to the Old Town. Parque da Corcovada is close to two sandy beaches within walking distance and within driving distance of 23 other beaches. Numerous activities nearby include tennis and horse riding. For children, there is mini-golf and a playground on site. Guests can access the Leisure facilities at the nearby Hotel Real Bellavista where there is an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and spa treatments.

Leisure activities and attractions: For the more adventurous, the not to be missed jeep safaris can be arranged at reception. For the whole family there is Zoomarine in Guia , Slide and Splash, Krazyworld, Aqualand , Aquashow all within a short drive away. There is also Lagos Zoo and karting at Almancil. Sea angling trips and boat trips can also be arranged along the coast which depart from Portimao, Albufeira marina and Vilamoura. Further East on the Spanish border,boat trips are available on the riverGuadiana.Nearby shopping centres in the town centre are Modelo and Pingo Doce. Algarve Shopping Centre is the largest shopping centre in the area with 130 stores, 45 fashion stores, a hypermarket (Continente), 9 cinemas (English films), 12 bowling lanes and free parking. There are also markets in all of the Algarve towns. There are many walking areas in the Algarve at Ria Formosa, Quinta do Lago, Tavira (forest), Monchique, Burgau (coastal), Silves, Sapal Reserve Nature Trail, Alte (summit), Esteveira (dunes), Penina (hills)and Benagil-Senhora (clifftop).Hiking, cycling and horse riding are available in the Costa Vincenta, Serra de Monchique and Serra do Caldeirao areas. Other Activities great for children include the Bellavista Leisure Park which has quad bikes,mini-golf, tennis,soccer,ball pools, and bouncy castles. Golf Information: Portugal’s variety of landscape is surprising and captivating with sunshine year-round and bordered by clean blue ocean from South to North. The Algarve in particular is a Golfer’s paradise where the courses can be played almost every day of the year. The courses also have good services and facilities. There are three courses within 10 minutes drive of Parque da Corcovada. These are Salgados, the Sheraton Pine Cliffs and the 9 hole Balaia course. Salgados has links style golf and is built on flat lands just behind the sandy beach at Gale. The course has become a haven for a variety of migratory birds. Great use is made of the water for hazards and the course has a sunny Florida feel about it. There is a driving range, putting and chipping greens with a practice bunker. Clubs can be hired. There are also trolleys, buggies and locker room facilities. Light snacks and meals are available at the beach bar. Balaia is an attractive 9 hole par-3 course and is one of the Algarve’s golfing gems. Set within the Balaia Golf Village complex and looking out over the ocean, it is a course to test every golfer. There is a golf academy, driving range, putting greens, locker rental and club/trolley hire. The Sheraton Pine Cliffs is well-known because of its appeal to international golfing celebrities. It has an exceptional cliff top position. The European Tour players train here in the winter. There is a driving range, putting green, chipping green,academy and club/trolley hire. Further to the East are the renowned golf courses of Laguna,Victoria, Millenium,Old Course, Pinhal and Vila Sola. These are only a short 20 minute drive away.

We started travelling to the Algarve more than fifteen years ago and have always enjoyed any holidays we have spent there. The apartment is carefully managed by a local manager on site at Corcovada who will explain everything to you and will ensure that all of your needs are met.

Why Colin chose Albufeira

This is the one area along the Algarve coast which really has everything and it is all closely located to the apartment. The choice of restaurants and bars nearby is endless and there are numerous sandy beaches to choose from. We chose this apartment because it has two balconies overlooking the large South facing gardens and pool. It is also extremely convenient for shops and all amenities.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is within a short walk of the 'strip' where you will find plenty of bars and restaurants to suit your own individual taste.There are lots of activities in the area such as tennis, golf, slide and splash / marineworld theme parks, and boat trips from the Marina.There are also excellent walks along the coast.

The apartment is well equipped with a selection of DVDs books and games for all the family as well as satellite TV.

Sun beds and parasols are provided around the pool for your relaxation.

Your apartment is lovely and finished to a really high standard. It was great to have such a good base to relax in after long days in the sun. The kids loved the pool and everything we needed was within easy walking distance. The Albufeira area is really nice and we particularly enjoyed our visits to the 'Old town' in the evenings.

The apartment was beautiful. It had everything to make our stay wonderful

and relaxing. Great location. The grounds and pool are beautiful. We will definitely be recommending this apartment to family and friends. Returning next year.

The apartment was everything we hoped for and the place was amazing. It was clean and well equipped with nice furnishings. It is the biggest one bed we've stayed in. We have stayed in Corcovada before but this apartment is the best of the ones we've stayed in. We will certainly be back to Corcovada and definitely to this apartment.

Zoomarine's dolphins, exhibitions and shows are very entertaining and not to be missed. other attractions in the area include Almancil Karting, Slide and Splash, Krazy World animal park and Lagos Zoo.
