Villa in Tolox, Nr. Coin, Costa del Sol, Spain - Located On The Edge Of The Village

Three storey villa completed October 2006 located on the edge of Tolox a typical white village. In the village you will find numerous bars, some of which serve food, there are also a number of small supermarkets and shops to supply your needs. The villa is ideally situated for exploring not only the coast of Adalucia, but also inland. You will find Ronda a 40 minute drive away, here you will find the oldest bull ring in Spain. About 2 hours away is Granada with the famous Alhambra Palace, well worth a visit but you must book first either on line, by phone or at any BBV Bank. The British enclave of Gibraltar is about 90 minutes drive, well worth a visit for your duty free shopping, but remember your passport! If you enjoy people watching take a drive to Puerto Banus, have a drink by the marina and watch the world go by.

About Pauline Hurst

My husband and I live in England. We are now both retired. We have two daughters who have both now left home. We have travelled to the Costa del Sol for a number of years, the first time when our elder daughter was working in San Pedro Alcantara. We love the area and now that we are retired spend as much time as we can at the Villa, and hope our guests will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Pauline Hurst chose Guadalhorce (Costa del Sol)

We had been looking for a property on the Costa del Sol for some years but had not been able to find anything that suited us by the coast. We then saw an advert on the internet for new villas being built in Tolox. We carried out some internet research in relation to the area and travelled out for an inspection visit. We totally fell in love with the village and area and bought the villa off plan. We had to wait a further two years for it to be completed, but it was well worth the wait!!! The villa is on the edge of the village, there are bars, supermarkets and other village stores within three minutes of the villa. Market day is Wednesday. The villagers are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The villa is ideally situated for exploring inland Costa del Sol.

What makes this villa unique

Stays are the villa are totally relaxing, everything is ready on arrival thanks to our property management team. The ground floor is totally open plan, very light and airy. The villa is the only one on the small estate which has an open plan ground floor which makes it unique. We have uninterrupted views of the village, river valley and up to the National Park.

Notes on accommodation: Air conditioning is installed in the lounge and all bedrooms. Oil fired heaters are available. There is no safety fence around the pool so children must be supervised at all times. A travel cot, with linen, is available for babies. Further baby equipment if required can be hired through totsstore.com for collection at Malaga Airport on arrival. Please note that we would ask that you do not smoke in the villa, thank you. Outside: Extensive patio area with private 4m x 3m pool, 1.5m deep, with built in walk in steps and internal light for evening swimming, poolside shower. External lights on patio. Patio furniture includes large table, parasol and six chairs, five sun loungers and two small drinks tables. Barbecue for alfresco dining. Two further terraces on the second floor and roof area with extensive views over the village and down the river valley. Towels, including pool/beach, and linen are included.

Amazing stay in a lovely villa

My 4 kids and I decided to holiday here for 7 days. What a place Pauline has! Couldn't fault the villa at all. The village was amazing too with so many hidden supermarkets and bars just coming to life at night.

My kids loved every minute especially in the pool. We even drove to the beach one day (about 45 min drive) and we were only there for an hour when the kids were asking when we were going back to the villa and pool.

Amazing stay, amazing villa, lots of communication from Pauline to ease the process and some very detailed directions to help get there.

Thanks Pauline, hope to see Tolox and your villa soon again,

Brilliant Holiday

Fab villa in the village of Tolox. Locals very friendly and we tried out our Spanish and they tried out their English. Great for getting to the coast and the lakes. Ardales Lakes are great for swimming and relaxing by. Mijas great for a meal and local pottery. Villa very clean and cool during the day, but we needed the air con at night as very high temps in the night. Thanks Pauline you have a lovely villa/home - Wilcox family

What a lovely clean villa.Every thing was so easy to operate and it was nice to have the little touches like advice on were to visit and people to contact if there was a problem.Needless to say we did not have any occasion to have too.Many thanks for making our holiday best wishes Carole

Great Holiday

Just arrived back home from a great holiday in this modern villa with my family, the sun was very hot so to jump into the pool to cool off was good. The village of Tolox is very nice with narrow roads and small alleyways. We will return again soon.

Relaxing stay

Booked this villa for 2 adults and 2 children (age 6 and 8) and we had a wonderful time. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and the air conditioning in all rooms meant a comfortable sleep at night. The pool was well maintained by Phil (who is a font of knowledge on all things local e.g. bars ,restaurants, where the police will have their speed traps etc.) and the kids loved splashing around for hours on end. Tolox isn't the place to go if you're looking 24 hour parting but it suited us down to the ground. None of the locals speak English very well but we managed to get by with minimal Spanish and pointing a lot. Marbella is about 40 mins drive (expensive parking) and you could be at the far end of the Costa in Nerja in about 75 - 80 minutes. All in all a good base to explore both inland and coast.
