Apartment in Praia do Carvoeiro, Western Algarve, Portugal - A Small Block Offering Spacious Accommodation for Couples or Families

A small apartment block offering spacious accommodation for couples or families. Having its own large pool and walled garden & playing area. Totally refurbished in 2017, the apartment offers a large living & dining area with balcony. A fitted kitchen consisting of cooker fridge/freezer/microwave. Leading from the hallway are the two spacious bedrooms both with balcony’s (extra beds can be sited if required). The master bedroom is ensuite & the 2nd bedroom has access to the 2nd bathroom from the hallway. This accommodation is in a well sort after location close to all amenities. The beach & centre are only 250 meters away. The apartment is positioned on the second floor, accessible by stairs only and is not suitable for wheelchair access.

I live in England, my partner and I both are retired and spend most of our holidays in Portugal, where we have made many friends there and have really fallen in love with the country.

Why The Owner chose Carvoeiro area

We love Carvoeiro because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches and range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport less than 45mins drive away.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is just two minutes walk from the fabulous beach. We provide umbrellas so you can travel light and make the most of the great coastline. For those who enjoy a more active holiday, you can take advantage of nearby golf course. If you are looking for great food we can also recommend restaurants that can provide delicious evening meals at reasonable prices. Just ask for information when booking.

'I wanted to write to say how much we enjoyed staying in your apartment recently. It was an excellent base for our stay in the Algarve. Our family of six never felt crowded there. The apartment was well equipped (even down to the coolbox and pool toys) and spotlessly clean. The Pay as you go air con and fans were very useful some nights. We loved the central location, but rarely found it noisy. It was great to be able to walk virtually anywhere at night, but never be too far from home to walk back. Our children loved the pool – it was nearly always just us there. At night, when the children were asleep we spent the evenings on the balcony ‘people watching’. In two weeks we were not bored! On road parking was rarely a problem, we usually parked along the road to the local market. I would also like to say how helpful and thoughtful your local agent were. Lovely Apartment

Great apartment, loads of space, very clean and nicely decorated; in a great location. Everything that was needed on a family holiday was provided - the kids loved all the 'pool toys' and we really appreciated having the pool 'furniture'. The pool was lovely, clean and quiet and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Our teenager loved that WiFi was accessible around the pool (though unfortunately not so much in the apartment).

Situated on the main restaurant road which was great for people watching - but no noise to be heard on an evening.

The location was perfect - being a short walk from the main beach, shops and restaurants/bars.

The correspondence from the owner Mark was excellent from start to finish, the complimentary wine he arranged at the local restaurants being a nice touch also.

All of the meals eaten out were great - we especially enjoyed Ele&Ela and Chef Antonio (opposite).

Of the waterparks - Slide and Splash was much better than Aqualand (though was twice the price).

The short walk to Algar Seco is an absolute must - exploring the rock formations and swimming in the rock pools was brilliant (along with the cliff jump which was a buzz).

We would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment or the resort to friends and family.

Great Apartment, Great Location

Great Apartment. This is our 5th or 6th visit to Carvoeiro now and this has been the best apartment location to date. A few minutes walk from the Square, the Beach and the restaurants/bars its a great location putting you right in the middle of everything. Its also just far enough away so that it isnt too noisy at nights. The shared pool is very clean and comes with sunloungers and chairs, and the apartment provides loads of kids toys to use in the pool and at the beach. Although its a shared pool there were many times when we had the whole thing to ourselves. Really clean apartment and air con available if needed on a token basis which worked out cheaper than previous apartments. Great customer service - there were a couple of occasions when we needed something and this was sorted out very quickly and efficiently. The wifi is very weak in the apartment but its not the end of the world as you get a full signal on the stairs or by the pool. Would definitely recommend this apartment to a friend.

Stay at Carvoeiro

Our first time in Carvoeiro. The apartment was well equipped and excellent location to the beach (5 minutes walk) and a host of eating places. The pool area was great and most of the time we had it to ourselves. Only niggle was the available Wi-Fi signal was poor in the apartment, but fine around the pool area. We hired a car for a week to visit waterpark and surround sites, but you can take local buses/taxis if you wish. I would stay at the same apartment if visiting Carvoeiro again and would recommend to a friend. Mark the owner provided a very efficient customer service

A really nice apt, kitchen well equipped, lots of beach/pool items. Beds and sofas very comfy. Well looked after with two good sized balcony's. The pool is great had to ourselves. The apt is two floors up so no noise from neighbours, yes it is overlooking one of the busier streets but no problem at night. Great for people watching. So many really good eating places within minutes, next door (free bottle of wine) the indian opp - lamb with spinach, small restaurant almost next to indian also very good. O Patio in the square is pricey but excellent. Beach is minutes away as are local buses and taxis - really nice place to stay.

Lovely spacious apartment

This is a very comfortable, well equiped apartment. Although in a main thoroughfare with many restaurants outside, the aparment itself inside is very quiet.

The pool is a very decent size and you usually get it to yourself. As it is behind the Apartment it is also peaceful.

We were without car so went on bus trips via lagoa bus station(10mins) using the bus which goes along the street outside the apartment to connect to other buses. There are local small "supermarkets" but if you want a proper one you can get a taxi from the rank down the road to the supermarket(Intermarche) for 5 Euros. (The supermarket will phone you one to come back). However, there are a huge number of places to eat here anyway! Although the food is not really expensive, you will find restaurants cheaper if you can be bothered going further afield (if you have a car!). However, this is definitely a location where you dont need a car. We went on trips to Zoo Marine World and had a Cater-meran boat trip with barbeque. You can book these trips from a shop in Carvoeiro and pay a small amount to be picked up from Carvoeiro and taken there and back so no travelling problems. We visited Silves which a nice town which has a huge Arab castle to visit. We also went on a longer bus journey to Lagos. In the apartment at the time of year we went we didnt need the air conditioning. Outside there was always a pleasant breeze. The transfer service recommended by Mark was very efficient and smooth. Overall, this was a relaxing apartment and the place to stay.

Extremely comfortable apt, kitchen well stocked, balconies great people watching, close to all restaurants and bars. Best thing in apt was range of sunbeds, sun mats, lilos (particularly liked the alligator). Beach few minutes walk. So many restaurants to choose from but can recommend the one next to the apt, O Patio in the square, Avela, Tapas Bar in square also nice place opposite the apt small not expensive but good food, also the Indian restaurant opp is good. We had a really relaxing time in this spacious and well cared for apt.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is furnished to a high standard, was refurbished in 2017 Air conditioning on a meter charged at 4 euros per 10 hours. Very suitable for children of all ages. Due to the very low WINTER weekly tariff Between November and February : - Utilities electricity and water are metered on arrival and departure and settled separately at the local rate. Outside: Walled manicured gardens with a large shared pool not heated, providing a safe and private environment for guests. 3 balconies. For around the pool, 4 sun loungers, garden chairs and 2 sun parasols. Beach and pool toys. Utility's Washing machine, iron, ironing board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Welcome pack can be provided if required on arrival. Maid cleaning is once weekly and on your departure. All bathroom towels provided and bedlinen provided. Towels and bedlinen changed weekly. Smoking is only allowed on the balcony due to fire alarms.
