Apartment in Old Village, Vilamoura, Portugal - Overlooking Main Pool Area

This apartment is one of the largest 3 bed apartments on the Old Village, it has full air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, with Fridge/Freezer, microwave, cooker, hob, washing machine, and dishwasher, a dining area and a large living room, which leads onto a large balcony. This apartment also has a large roof terrace with sunbeds, table and chairs etc, The apartment is central to the restaurants and supermarket, the local golf courses and also only 10-15 mins walk to the beach. There are three a la carte restaurants on the Old Village, Princess Gardens, Casa Do Largo, and the new Rendevous.. There are also Cafe Bars, Baro O Cafe and the Jazz Cafe, plus Florentina's , so there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the Old Village. The people are very helpful and friendly. There are three pools, the main pool, which the apartment overlooks, this is suitable for families, the dolphin pool which is suitable for older children and the small pool by Princess Gardens, again suitable for older children and adults, each pool has a bar serving food.

About the Owner

We bought our first property about 10 years ago, then all of our friends wanted to come with us, I soon got fed up with having a apartment full of people, so we bought another property, this is where our friends stay when they come with us. We rent out both properties they have proved very popular.

The Old Village is a prime location for families of people who play golf, or not as the case maybe, I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like it there.

You have to go a long way to find people who are more friendly and helpful.

We bought our first apartment at the Old Village as it was a very pretty place, the local beaches are lovely, and if wanted, there are also water parks nearby. The Marina is a place where you see how the other half live. There are many very good restaurants around the Marina, behind the Tivoli Hotel is a Puro Beach and Puro Beach Restaurant which is very good. The beaches are all of golden sand they all have restaurants.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is 10-15 mins walk, or a 5 euro taxi ride, there is also a road train that calls at the Old village which goes to the beach.

There is a shuttle service from the Old Village to the Marina.

The marina in Vilamoura is full of really good restaurants and shops, behind the Tivoli Hotel there is a Niki Beach area, where you can hire normal sunbeds, or four poster sun beds, for a special treat it is worth visiting the Niki beach restaurant in the evening.

Travel:

The local airport is Faro which is 20 minutes taxi ride to the apartment and can cost 30-35 euros. At Faro you can also arrange car hire, or we can arrange that for you.

Distances:

The Vilamoura Marine is well worth a visit, full good restaurants and shops it has berths for up to 1000 boats. the Marina is closed to most vehicles so is easy to walk around. There are weekly markets in Quarteira and Loule. A 30-40 minute car ride will take you to Algarve Shopping Centre.

Further Details:

For the children approx 15 minute drive there is a large water park. In Almancil there is a Karting Track. In Vilamoura there is a Casino. Water sports can be arranged in the Marina, Para Gliding, Jet Ski's, Boat Trips etc.,

Booking Notes:
We require 10% non refundable deposit for bookings, and then the final payment must be made 6 weeks before your departure date. We especially ask that clients treat the apartment with respect, we have taken a lot of time to make sure it is nice for everyone. We want everyone to have a lovely time.

Changeover Day:
We normally like to arrange changeover days for Friday or Saturdays, but we try to be flexible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Please contact us to discuss discounts for long lets.

10% deposit to hold the booking, remainder payable 4-6 weeks before departure.

There are three pools on the Old Village, each pool has a bar where you can buy refreshments and sandwiches, apart from the pool areas there are plenty of eating places from a la carte to the more cafe like restaurants. The Old Village is based on an Italian Piazza, the buildings are pastel coloured and the whole area is very pretty. The Portuguese are very friendly people and they love children.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is especially suitable for families due to the position overlooking the main pool area. Outside: The Old Village is very pretty, with cobbled streets and pastel coloured buildings. The gardens in and surrounding the area's are very clean and are very well looked after by the local condominium. There is a small play area on the Old Village for small children. The restuarants on site are very good and value for money. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bathroom and bedroom linen is supplied, but please bring your own beach towels. There is a weekly linen change which is included in the price, but you can arrange and pay for more linen changes with the managing agent. Other: There is a dining area with table and chairs and a small balcony which is on the front of the building.
