1 bedroom apartment on 2nd floor, with air conditioning/heating units in lounge and bedroom giving a comfortable holiday in summer or winter. Situated right on the sea front in a quiet area of Poniente Beach. Private car park under apartment block. Many amenities close by, including supermarket, bakers, chemist, restaurants and bars. The apartment overlooks the beach from 2 balconies, one from the bedroom and one from the lounge. The bus runs along the beach into the "old town" every few minutes in the summer, and very regularly in winter. Ideally situated to visit 'Terra Mitica', Benidorm's large theme park, and La Marina with its designer shops and theme pubs.Welcome pack can be arranged. Long winter lets of 3 weeks or more are available at a special low rental. The apartment block is only 4 storeys high with about 10 apartments on each level. Pick-up from/to the airport can be arranged at a charge of 40 euros each way (up to 3 people + suitcases). 2 cars can be arranged for a party of 4. Normal taxis are 70-90 euros each way!

About the Owner

As self-employed people running a very small business in England, my husband and myself decided 15 years ago that we would use our savings to buy a villa in the sun, both for ourselves and to rent to holidaymakers to help with the overheads. We enjoyed speaking to prospective clients so much, and ensuring that their holidays were a success, that when we had the chance we bought a small apartment on the beach in Benidorm. We have many clients who return to our properties, and we think of them as old friends even though we have never actually met them. We are very "hands-on" owners, but we cannot praise our staff in Spain enough. Nothing is too much trouble, and Jo and Adam in Moraira, and Shauntelle and Brenden in Benidorm are available close by should any of our clients have a problem.

'We had a very enjoyable time and the apartment was truly amazing. So close to the beach and restaurants with Benidorm Old Town being such a surprise. We enjoyed trying to get lost only to find that we were locating such treasures as the tapas street and wonderful aromas from spanish restaurants. Your directions to the apartment were so easy to follow and had a great time at the Ginger Nuts. Also discovered the great little spanish bakery around the corner. Great apartment in a quiet area of Benidorm.

Great apartment located in the Poniente area of Benidorm 50m from the lovely beach. Good secure parking on site. Wifi is great. We stayed at the apartment for 9 weeks and are going back again for 12 weeks later this year. We have also booked for 2017. Claire our contact in Spain was always available if we needed anything and was very helpful. Apartment has all the facilities needed for a longer stay, and we were able to take Gwynny the dog. Recommend.

Perfect

This appartment is perfect, although a little dated. But don't let that put you off it has everything you need, it was very clean and the location is fantastic....right on the beach. I would defiantly recrommend it to couples for the location. 30 walk to old town Benidorm. Plenty of resturants and bars on the doorstep also. English TV and wifi. Excellent communication from owner. Would def use again.

Fantastic Location

Stayed here from the 27th sept for 5 nights. Nice little apartment, nothing fancy, but has everything you will need for your stay. Wi-fi really good, skyped my kids every night. UK tv so you can watch your soaps if you want! 2 balconys, both of which have ample room. Location is ideal for the restaurants and bars. easy walk to la cala and the old town. Dont get the bus the walk is much better. Turia directly next door if you fancy a coffee ect. Hope to go back again sometime.

ideal location

having stayed half board in hotels in la cala for the last 6yrs we wanted to try an apartment & so pleased we did as we won't be going in a hotel again.spoke with jenny on the phone,a charming lady & all went well.claire was there to meet us,as was keith from the airport.the facilities were adequate for our requirements with no real issues.yes the apt is on the small side for 3 or 4 people butperfect for two.

once again thanks to all involved & esp the bottle of champers for our anniversary what a lovely & thoughtful touch very much appreciated

Here comes the sun

A Wonderful stay in à wonderful place, had 10 days in this apt and had enjoyed them entirely. All you need Is around you, bars restaurants, the beutiful Bach of poniente Is down the stairs. Recommend it for families (2 adults and 2 childs) thanks Jenny. Thanks claire (keyholder)

Excellent location and gated car parking.

Apartment in quiet residential block literally on beach. Property was very clean and functional but would now benefit from some modernisation. Sofa bed needs replacing as does the television and hifi, which are starting to show their age.

The electricity power supply did cause inconvenience as the apartments were not built to deal with heavy usage, e.g using the hob, oven and kettle caused multiple trips, as did the use of the air con and the cooker when used together. This is typical of the type of apartments built in Benidorm at the time and is not intended as a criticism of the owner or implied as an electrical problem.Our weeks stay coincided with a heatwave! Whilst the main living room stayed cool, with the air con doing an excellent job, the bedroom did not and made for some uncomfortable nights.

The customer service provided was excellent with first class communication with the owner.

Benidorm is clearly a town of two halfs, with two beaches. The apartment was in the perfect location for us on the quiet, more Spanish side of the old town, i.e. Poniente Beach. Bus service is excellent if you are feeling lazy, we were! 20 minute stroll into the old town on a pleasant walk way. If you feel like going over to the 'wild side' it's 25 minutes. We did once-that was enough, but perfect if you want that side of life! It can be as busy or as quiet as you like. Excellent shops and supermarkets within 5 minutes.Overall, enjoyed the 10 day break.

We feel it gives prospective clients a realistic idea of our property, and unrealistic expectations are very disappointing where holidays are concerned. We feel that our apartment is comfortable and convenient for whatever our visitors want to do in Benidorm. The electricity supply can be inconvenient, we forewarn our clients about it, and we update appliances when needed. Finances do not allow for unnecessary replacements, but we still feel we give value for money. Many of our clients re-book, and we hope that Peter will consider us again in the future.

Location

From the Owner

We love Benidorm because it buzzes! It has so many amenities and is easy to reach from Alicante airport along the motorway. The apartment is in a quiet location right on the beach and is great for lazy days, but is a short bus-ride away if you want lively nights. Or you can visit the many bars and restaurants close by. Benidorm is also great for shopping, with La Marina close to the apartment, and 2 markets a week in the town itself. It is a great base for extensive sightseeing - there are so many places of interest within a relatively short drive. Valencia and Alicante cities are well worth a visit, and the smaller towns of Altea, Javea, Moraira and Denia, each make for an interesting day out. If you don't want to drive, you can arrange a trip at one of the many tourist kiosks.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is literally over the road. The sea is shallow just outside the apartment, making it ideal for children, with a lovely sandy beach. Palm trees planted in the sand make a shady area when the sun is hot. There is a climbing frame and volley-ball net close by. The theme park Terra Mitica is within a mile, and the waterpark Aqualandia is at the other end of Benidorm.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Alicante, approximately 40 minutes drive away along the motorway. Taxis are readily available there, and pre-arranged "resort-hopper" transport companies are now operating. There are many car hire companies both at the airport and in Benidorm, if you feel like sight-seeing.

Distances:

Benidorm "old town" is about 5 mins. away by bus, or a 30 minute gentle stroll along the front.

Further Details:

There is a row of shops behind the apartment block, with a tobacco and drink shop, small supermarket and chemist. The chemists in Spain are more highly qualified than in Britain, and can advise you should you have health problems, saving a trip to the Doctor. There are cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, with many different cuisines. Benidorm itself is only a short bus ride away, and is a wonderful shopping area, ranging from 'cheap and cheerful' for the kids, to designer shops. There is also a market twice a week. La Marina, close to the apartment, also has designer shops, a cinema showing some English films, bowling alley, and theme pubs on the roof terrace! There is live music here during the summer months. There is also an enormous Carrefour situated next to it, all only a few minutes drive/bus ride from our apartment. There is lots to do - apart from the huge Terra Mitica theme park near to the apartment, there is Aqualandia (a water park for those hot summer days) and Mundomar next to it, with exotic birds and plants. For a really special night, try 'Benidorm Palace', a truly exotic show, where you can also dine if you want to. For more sightseeing hire a car, or book a coach trip, to Guadalest and the Fonts d'Algar. The scenery is breathtaking, and Guadalest itself is an old monastery/castle set in narrow streets. At the Fonts you can bathe in clear pools and waterfalls.

Booking Notes:
£50 deposit per holiday week required at time of booking, with the balance being due 3 months before the holiday. For out-of-season holidays of 3 weeks or more, a deposit of 50% of total rental is required, with the balance again being due 3 months before the holiday. Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible, so clients can take advantage of cheaper flights. Arrival and departure times are arranged to fit with clients before and after, and to allow for the apartment to be cleaned.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds, and include all utilities, English TV, Wifi, and the supply (only) of bedlinen and towels. Clients to supply own beach towels.
Winter rentals (October to Easter) of 3 weeks or more will be charged £130 per week, including utilities and the supply (only) of bedlinen or towels. For long-lets a further one-off charge of £50 will be made for the apartment to be cleaned after the holiday.

Myself and Claire and Dawn, our staff in Benidorm, are very "hands on" and are at the end of the telephone if you have any problems while you are at our apartment. Claire can be with you in a short time if there is something which cannot be solved by phone. Because the apartment is right on the beach, you can easily pop back for a cup of tea, bottle of wine, or snack for a picnic. The main balcony is a great place to "people watch", and either one of the balconies are in the sun or shade at any time, winter or summer.

Notes:

  • Outside: Private car parking area on ground level beneath and around the apartment block, accessed through a locked gate with remote opening mechanism. Outdoors showers are provided for rinsing off sand and sea. The beach is reached by literally just walking across the road! On the beach there is a climbing-frame for the children, a volleyball net, and palm-trees for shade. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels are provided, although beach towels should be provided by the client. Linen and towels can be changed during the holiday, at an extra charge. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned before and after each let. Other: Lounge balcony has patio table and 4 chairs, and roller-shutter blinds and canopy to keep out the heat. It is lovely to sit here and overlook the beach. Leading from kitchen is breakfast-bar area with family-sized fridge/freezer and microwave.
