This luxury 3 bed Andalucian apartment is situated on the Costa Tropical in the idyllic spanish village of Velez De Benaudalla. Located just 30 minutes south of Granada this area boasts not only the beautiful beaches of the Costa tropical,but the mountains of the Sierra Nevada both within easy reach. Set within a secure gated development with shared pool and communal grounds the apartment comprises of 3 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen and open plan lounge area. The large terrace with beautiful views of village and mountans beyond is perfect for outdoor dining, barbeque and has a hot tub. With the beautiful beaches of the Costa Tropical an golf only 10 min drive away and the mountains of the Sierra Navada 45 minutes by car,this is the perfect location for sun or ski holidays. Skiing, mountain biking,walking,go-karting are all close by. Watersports, including kite surfing and scuba can all be found either on the beaches of the costa tropical or the nearby Rules Dam.

We live with our daughter in Nottingham and make regular visits to our apartment in Spain where we have made many friends. We love the Spanish way of life, culture and the food and obviously the climate which offers sun for most of the year.

Superb apartment,great views of mountains,lovely beaches,the village is known for its free tapas! Visit to the Alhambra is a must. Certainly stay here again, Mr Paul Gidley, Nottingham.

My girlfriend and her family had a fantastic time in Andalucia.The apartment is very good,well located. I would definitely recommend a couple of restaurants down on the front in Salobrena good service and food with excellent sea food. I also drove along the cost to La Heradura which is a pretty and tranquil beach side setting. I drove up into Pampaneira in the Western Sierra Nevada which is beautiful with white washed houses,a pretty square and decent local craft shops,the views driving up there are fantastic. Fantastic property in a great Spanish location

My young family and I travelled to Velez in August 2016. All communication and advice prior to our holiday was seamless, we were given accurate directions and details of who would be meeting us at the Townhouse.

The location of the property is fantastic. The village of Velez is very accessible however gives a feel of being in rural Spain within an authentic Andalucian village. There are a number of bars in the village where we visited for drinks and breakfasts. We even used the playpark in the village to occupy our little ones for a short while. We visited the coast on a few occasions which was around a 15 minute drive.

The townhouse itself was immaculate, we were also surprised at just how spacious the rooms and living areas were. On the ground floor is a master with gorgeous en suite. The middle floor has kitchen and lounge in addition to 2 other spacious bedrooms and bathroom with shower.

This townhouse has 2 terraces, a hot tub and plenty of furniture/sunbeds. The views around the village and landscape beyond were incredible.

There is a communal pool which was very quiet during our stay. It was perfect to cool off and very clean. The owners of this complex obviously take great care of their homes and communal living areas.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we have ranted to our family and friends over and over. We would love to return again, without question.

We love this area for its proximity to the coast with great beaches while still enjoying the authenticity of a typical Andalucian village. If you want activities you can be skiing in the Sierra Nevada within an hour & golf enthusiasts have a good choice of courses within 1/2 an hour from the apartment.

Mountain Biking:

Can be found all over the region for enthusiasts. Cycling is a popular sport in the Lecrin Valley area due to the wonderful weather and picturesque and varied scenery. The Sierra Nevada is a dramatic, rugged and extensive mountain range, the highest in Europe after the Alps.

Local bike hire is available in the village, from an English speaking company who will arrange transportation to & from your destination and picnic/barbeque if required.


Off road karting in the Alpuharras can be arranged from the village. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of this region in an exciting way; routes vary from1-4 hours.


There are 3 walking routes within the village; Agua, Historical & Old town. More details of these can be found at the Town Hall opposite the church. Further routes can be found throughout the Lecrin Valley.


Lovely beaches are found in Motril and Salobrena, both approx 10 min drive, with watersports facilities and wide choice of restaurants and eateries. There are more beaches and a water park in nearby Almunecar 30 mins by car.


Granada airport approx 40 mins drive.

Malaga airport approx 90 mins drive.

Good bus links to Granada and local area although a hire car is recommended.


Nearest town is Motril approx 10 mins by car which offers all amenities expected from a large town. The city of Granada and the Alhambra palace can be reached by car in 30 mins, good bus service is also available.

The village itself has a selection of bakeries, supermarkets, takeaway foods, authentic tapas bars and traditional restaurants typical to the Andalucian region. There are also banks, postal and internet services. A detailed list may be found in the apartment.
