Villa in El Capistrano Village, Nerja, Costa del Sol, Spain - Private Shady Garden and Communal Gardens

Just 50kms east of Malaga, our villa is situated in the idyllic, original El Capistrano Village, which is a modern recreation of a traditional Spanish village, having Pueblo styled villas in landscaped communal gardens, with a beautiful array of trees, shrubs and flowers. Traffic is kept to the perimeter of the village with its centre criss-crossed by cobbled walkways. The villa fronts onto a traffic free cobbled street, although parking facilities and access are available through the garden gate at the rear. The modernised charming villa has 3 twin bedded rooms, 2 with ceiling fans, 2 new bathrooms, large living area and new kitchen, roof terrace, patio and private walled garden. The villa, whilst centrally located, is quiet with easy access to the main pool complex which has a snack bar, restaurant, bar and small supermarket. There is 24 hours security and a local bus calls linking to Nerja an unspoilt old Spanish town. New beds, sofas, coffee table and lamps. New flat screen tv.

About Pippa Davies

Rob and Pippa Davies have owned the villa since 1985 It was bought to give ourselves and our 4 children a sunshine holiday in a safe and attractive environment. The family have continuously used the villa over that period and now it is being enjoyed by our grandchildren. The villa has been updated on a regular basis with new kitchen, bathrooms and furnishings.

The villa is in one of the best positions in the village being close to both pool complexes as well as the village shop and restaurant whilst being quiet and peaceful especially in the villa's private garden. We have received some very complimentary comments from previous guests. This year we have had a minor refurb with new beds, 2 new sofas and a coffee table with new table lamps, bedside lamps and new flat screen satellite tv.

Notes on accommodation: No smoking and no pets. Electric heated mobile oil radiators are available. Outside: The shady, private walled garden has a patio with table and chairs for 6 people and sun lounges and garden chairs, an excellent spot for barbecues. The 1st floor terrace and balcony also has tables and chairs. The village facilities include 2 swimming pool complexes with a life guard in summer, the larger complex being accessed along a traffic free cobbled street within 3 minutes of the villa. Other facilities within the village include restaurant, pool side snack bar, bar, and small supermarket. On the edge of the village there is a tennis complex as well as a major supermarket and a number of restaurants. The village has 24 hour security as well as a bus service to Nerja. The village offers a safe environment for children and families. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels are provided. After 1 week, the maids come and change the linen and towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

Family holiday

This is the second time we have stayed in your lovely villa. For us, having 3 children the location couldn't be better. The villa is quiet and beautifully kept, but is literally a minutes walk from the pools and restaurants. Our three children have all enjoyed the use of the garden and terraces, as well as the surrounding pools and beach. We will certainly be choosing to use your villa again, and although we have been coming to Capistrano for the last 30 years, your villa has been our favourite place to stay. Thank you also for the wine and flowers on arrival. We will be sad to go home tomorrow but look forward to coming again soon.

Holiday in Nerja

Fantastic holiday, wonderful location, very comfortable and well equipped villa. Very quiet and peaceful location with an abundance of excellent restaurants and good quality shops nearby. Beautiful garden and rooftop terrace where one can enjoy a long leisurely breakfast, lunch or sundowner at sunset. Very comfortably furnished, would love to visit again, highly recommended. Beautiful scenery and easy to hire a car to visit local areas of interest nearby such as the caves of Nerja and the Alhambra at Granada. Fabulous beach nearby within a few minutes drive. Can't wait to return again.

Burriana Beach is a 15 min walk or 5 mins by car. It has many restaurants, bars and shops. Good water sports facilities are offered on the beach.


Malaga Airport is approx 50 mins drive along the motorway. Car hire (while not essential) is recommended.


Nerja Town, 20 mins walk, 5 mins by car.

Malaga Airport, 50 mins by car.

Granada, 1 hour 15 mins by car.

Seville, 2 hours 30 mins by car.

Nerja is an old Spanish town which has a good choice of restaurants, bars and boutiques. The narrow streets focus on a small headland promenade known as 'The Balcon de Europa' with its wayside cafes and bars shaded by waving palm trees. Every Tuesday, there is an open-air market where you can buy fresh fruit and veg, clothing and many other goods. Nerja is an ideal family resort.
