"Just wanted to drop you a quick email as we got back from Montenegro over the weekend. We had a really amazingly wonderfully lovely time and loved the apartment. Can't wait until we can go back, we will also be recommending it to all our friends. We managed to get around fine and used the bus loads. Bit sad to be back at work now!" Polly & Andy, September, 2012
"The weather was clear and around 20 degrees each day which was just the job ! We went to Kotor a few times, Perast and Tivat ( which we loved ). We ate out each night locally, (once in Tivat ). We both loved it and will be recommending it to our friends. We made friends with a few cab drivers who offered us some great deals to go places !( Budva 20 euros each way - which we didn't have time to do ) I would really love to go back and do Budva, Sveti Stefan and Lake Skadar !
Thanks again and we have filled in the guest book which will hopefully help others !!" Ben, April 2011

We have just returned from a beautiful 10 day stay here, the apt was spotless, everything was there, the views from the balcony were great, Prcanj itself is so lovely, it's quiet, plenty of restaurants a couple of little shops for basic needs, we found the people so friendly and helpful, we walked a lot, and explored places, plenty of boat trips from Kotor we even got one trip to stop at Prcanj on the way through and pick us up and it was no problem for them, would highly recommend Jeanette and Francis' apt and Prcanj, thank you I'll think we will be in touch for next year!!! Amazing little apartment in an idyllic setting
We stayed here for 7 days and had an incredible time. The apartment is light and spacious - the bedroom is far bigger than it looks in the picture and there are high ceilings the whole way through giving it a very light and airy feeling. The balcony overlooks the whole bay which is truly breathtaking to wake up to on a sunny day. Every morning my boyfriend and I couldn't believe our eyes! Our host out there, Daniel, was so helpful and organised our taxi on our last night and responded to any queries we had about transport etc. all the way through our stay. The weather was a bit up and down but luckily the apartment is stocked with entertainment for the rainy days so we filled them with Simpsons Monopoly, Chequers and lots of classic films! Th shop at the end of the road is perfect fr all essentials and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance - do not go to Boka Bay though - only one with a really weird atmosphere. Gems include Villa Marija and Konoba Bokeski (i think that's the name), great food and atmosphere. It felt like home by the time we left and now all we want to do is go back! Great holiday, thanks so much Jeanette and Francis.
We had a lovely relaxing week exploring Prcanj and the surrounding area. The apartment was very cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay in a great location for seeing this part of Montenegro. We hadn't realised before what a beautiful country it is. We enjoyed swimming in the fjord from the little jetty at the bottom of the road, watching the boats passing from the balcony with a glass of the local wine, and exploring the beautiful old town of Kotor, where walking the old city wall is a must. Having spent a few days in Dubrovnik prior to our arrival we decided we much preferred the unspoilt atmosphere of Kotor, and we found some great fish restaurants inside the city walls. Highly recommended for a rest, some sunshine and no shortage of local interest.
Lovely apartment with stunning views
Great apartment with everything you could need. The views over Kotor bay from the main room and the balcony are beautiful. Ideal location - we enjoyed exploring the lovely village of Prcanj on foot and the bus service to Kotor town is frequent and cheap (alternatively takes about 50mins on foot).

“We came to Montenegro on a family holiday and stayed in Muo, just outside of Kotor. We fell in love with Montenegro and decided (on a bit of a whim!) to cash in a pension policy which was sitting doing nothing and buy an apartment so that we could get a bit if fun and enjoyment from the money. Once we saw Prcanj we knew it was the perfect place for us. As lovely as Kotor is it gets so crowded and noisy in Summer and Prcanj is so peaceful but you can get into Kotor easily in the day or evening and Prcanj has it's own bars and restaurants if you are feeling lazy (as we often are!). It is also easy to get to Tivat which is morphing into a sophisticated holiday resort and fun to visit. We come every year and every time explore a little further afield in this fascinating country.”
Activity and Interests
There are small, safe beaches and puntas from which you can swim and sunbathe on in and around Prcanj. The best beaches (lots of small ones) are towards the Adriatic Coast. The nearest and some of the nicest can be found 10-15 minutes drive away on the Lustica Peninsular and towards Budva.
Nearest airports Tivat (25 minutes ) Dubrovnik & Podgorica (approx 1 hour 30 minutes - drive).
Car hire is inexpensive and recommended and can be arranged through our property management agents in Kotor, but it is not essential as they can also arrange transfer to and from the airports and there is a cheap frequent local bus service which takes you to Kotor Old Town and other main local coastal towns and there is a bus station in Kotor with buses travelling to destinations further afield.
Kotor Old Town - 7km, Tivat - 8km, Perast - 18km, Budva Old Town and beaches - 30km, Sveti Stefan - 34km, Dubrovnik - 85km.
There are lots of things to do and see nearby including:
Small towns and villages around Kotor Bay including Dobrota, Perast, Risan - all with little beaches, bars and beautiful buildings (take a boat and visit the church on the island of Sveti Djorde just off Perast).
Kotor: Beautiful Venetian-styled old walled city with cobbled streets and squares and shops, bars, restaurants, banks, daily market and ramparts ascending to St Ivan's fortress -which is a must! Just outside the city walls a colourful market is held every day (Saturday is best) and the marina opposite, with its luxury yachts and visits from cruise liners makes for great people watching! Boat trips and boat hire available here.
Budva: This lively tourist resort by the sea is based around a restored medieval walled city with winding narrow cobbled streets, museums, shops and bars.
Sveti Stefan: A beautiful peninsular famous as a local celebrity haunt.
Tivat: with its large Bay, Tivat has a marina, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and beaches, an open market, diving school and tennis club. The stunning Porto Montenegro is well under way and worth a visit before it is overrun by the rich and famous!
Lustica Peninsula: A nature reserve with beautiful bays, coves, beaches and lovely countryside with plenty of walking, birdwatching etc.
And further afield (an hour an a half away and more).
The Durmitor National Park and mountains, Lake Skadar National Park and the Tara Canyon (world's second deepest and longest!) Lots of activity sports can be undertaken here, white water rafting, paragliding, walking and skiing in the winter but they are a long drive and you might consider making it more than a day trip!
Dubrovnik and Southern Croatia can be visited for a day trip.
Ulcing and its long sandy beaches.
Cetinje (former capital) is a beautiful mountainous drive from Prcanj with palaces, a monastery and museums.

“We think we are so lucky to have discovered the perfect spot on Kotor Bay. It is a beautiful village in a great location. The apartment is so well located, easy to get to Kotor and Tivat but with enough local amenities that you don't have to get into the car to find a shop or a restaurant or a bar - they are all on your doorstep. There are lots of little beaches and jetties to sunbathe and swim from. There are some lovely local walks. There are so many places to visit. Or you can just sit on the balcony and watch the boats go by. We never get bored and always have a truly relaxing break!”
