An attractively furnished spacious 2 bedroom ground floor apartment. Situated in a quite residential part of Paphos. All this within easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops and sandy beaches. Other attractions include a very adventurous water park, 3 championship golf courses and many historical sites. Furnished to a high living standard with a spacious open plan lounge and dining area, with dining table and chairs, HD TV HDMI Connection with DVD and WiFi available. We like the apartment, very well equipt

I will be taking my daughter and son in law to the airport on Saturday, they have enjoyed staying at your apartment and also using the pool. Most days they have been doing 100 lengths and find it great.

I think you should also advertise that within 10 mins walking there are several restaurants, one a Greek Taverna and the other 100 metres away on the same road, a restaurant where you can take your own wine, no corkage.

The bus stop is only a few mins away and takes you direct into Paphos Harbour

We just had to move out......

This apartment was booked nearly a year in advance and was eagerly awaited for a health break. On arrival everything looked good and would have been but the amenities were sadly lacking. Only managed to get WiFi on after 3 weeks and after that it was hit and miss. This was a facility that was a priority as my wife, being a Parkinson’s patient, needed to stay in touch with her Health Coach. To be without TV for 3 months was greatly missed.We did manage to stream some programmes but at very great cost. We feel the description of the apartment is very misleading. We honestly thought that the photo provided was the block we were to be housed and that the ground floor flat was 1 of 3. This is what swayed us in our choice of this apartment. Access from ground floor in a wheelchair straight to the poolside area. There is no mention of it being ground floor upon entry to the block but to access the pool you have to leave the block , walk a short way and then find your way through a busy car park walk down to flights of stairs to reach the pool area. There is no mention of the balcony straight facing the side of another block. Sitting on the balcony was a no no as sun, when out, was too late in afternoon. We found the place to be very noisy with other residents 24 hours per day. The traffic was literally non stop too. Doors slamming from 5am onwards and wrongly using the private car park.

The most disappointing element was the heating. Karen, caretaker, brought us a heater after 3 weeks as we were absolutely freezing in all rooms. It provided no relief whatsoever. Bedding, clothes etc... were always damp. Mould was evident around the windows and on the walls causing us both breathing problems. The cold and dampness in the apartment ruined loads of food and fruit. Worst of all it ruined great amounts of medication because of damp.

People whom we made friends with offered us, over the 3months Nov-Feb, a Bed for the night on 15 occasions. It all came to a head when we moved into a hotel, at great expense, for the last 2 nights. We used a dehumidifier that was offered also. It was a godsend.

We are being really honest as we feel deprived of our holiday. If the AC worked we would not have had the sleep problem at least.

This apartment would be a great place to stay in high summer as it is very spacious. You need a car for definite as too far out. Not suitable for people with difficulties.

We shall be seeking compensation from the owner Norman.

Owner's Response: We owned this apartment or 13 years, so we were very surprised to receive this review. In the past we have only ever had positive reviews. This guest occupied the apartment from the 15th November 2017 to the 11th February. In that time the only contact I had, was from our management who look after the apartment for me. One of the heaters was not working so they replaced it, further to that as far as they knew, everything else was ok. Other than that, the review sent on the 27th February is the only time we have heard anything. We have had the Wifi for about 3 years now and as far as I know it’s only failed once, as soon as I was notified I emailed the company and it was back working within 2 hours. For this guest I was not notified there was any problem at all, just an email asking for the pass key, which I gave and said all these details are on the apartment information I sent earlier. At no time before, was there any mention of anyone needing to use a wheelchair, if so we would have given a very simple and easy route to the pool, without going through a carpark and not having steps involved. The balcony does have a good view of the pool although one quarter of it is facing the edge of the apartment, but certainly does not obscure the view of the pool.The winter sun is very low and only hits the balcony for a couple of hours, in the summer it’s usually on there most of the day. This is a predominantly a hot climate, therefore these buildings are designed to keep cool as possible, so unfortunately, come the very short cold period, the building does not benefit from not having much daylight hours. There are 2 heaters supplied and the air conditioning unit’s act as heaters as well, up to now, this usually has been sufficient. We have had no other complaints from guest that have rented during the winter months, only good reviews after they left. Damp normally only occurs through condensation, when the apartment is not aired regularly. If windows are opened slightly during day, the air tends to dry out the room Preventing damp. When guest book, they usually let us know if there are any specific difficulties they may have, age or health, then we will advise them accordingly. But there was no mention of wheelchair use, age or health worries, no mention of these problems, for the whole period of the hire. We are sorry that our guest did not enjoy their stay, perhaps If they had contacted me, I could have helped them to get the best out of the apartment

Nice large apartment on a pleasant quiet complex

The apartment is a lovely place to stay with all the accessories provided essential for your stay. A fantastic idea is the allocated sunbeds so no messing around with towels. The pool is of a nice size and we all really loved it.

The only issue we found was that the Harbour and main restaraunts in Paphos are not really within walking distance. We walked it once and it was not the most pleasant of walks as it is largely dual carriageway. It took about about 35 minutes just to get to the start of some bars and with the climate as it is with 2 young children is not ideal. However, there is a restaraunt and a small kiosk about 12 minutes walk away which we went to a few times. If we went back I would hire a car like most people had done that we met at the complex. There is a really nice Tavern nearby which is about 12 minutes walk, the food is traditional meze so not for everyone but we loved it.

Having said this if you don't want to hire a car and prefer using a taxi we really recommend Andy the taxi driver, he is very friendly and reliable and will not rip you off. He brought us to the apartment and tranferred us back to the airport with no hassle and took all the stress away, highly recommended. On average taxis are €8 each way (to Paphos harbour). There is also a regular bus service but we found a taxi for 4 cheaper and much easier.

Norman is very reliable and always gets back to you as soon as you require his assistance. The only criticism is a safe would be a great addition, although we did not really worry.

Overall we had a pleasant enjoyable stay in this Private quiet and clean complex.

A beautifully equipped apartment and a lovely pool

I spent a wonderful two weeks at Normans apartment at Diana Gardens. I love the press for fresh orange juice - we used it every day once we bought our bags of oranges by the roadside!

There was everything you could need in the apartment.

We found a lovely local bar where we had many a meal when we didn't want to travel far. Needless to say the meals were better there than some we had down on the seafront!

Had a turtle watching trip on Captain George's boat - a speedboat at Latsi for a snorkelling trip - and a trip to Lemesos for a trip down memory lane to see if the house I lived in as a 6 year old was still there. It was.....just! Surrounded by many apartment blocks.....so maybe for not much longer 🙁

After that a trip to Larnaca and Ayia Napa - the latter definitely to be avoided if you like traditional Cyprus.

Norman the owner very helpful throughout my stay and answered my queries very promptly. Thank you Norman for letting us stay in your apartment 😎

Apartment second to none

Booking this apartment could not have been easier and the assistance from the owner was most appreciated especially the booking of the taxi on our arrival helping us to the apartment in the early hours. The apartment was everything it had claimed to be and more and with everything to hand you clearly had thought of everything and a perfect position within the complex. Our only criticism was due to arriving at the accommodation in the early hours by morning we had no clear idea of our true location and the convenience of any local Shop/Kiosk. Whilst the owner provided us with the initial essentials which we were thankful for we had no idea where the nearest shop/kiosk could be and which direction to go in. There were a number of options left, right, up, down and when eventually found it did not seem to be the 500mtrs as stated in previous reviews. It was 3 bus stops away. We ended up booking the same taxi to assist us to the main supermarket near the harbour instead. What may have helped was a 'HERE YOU ARE' locator map and a little direction to help. Another review mentioned the site should be updated to state a car really is essential as whilst there is a bus service it takes you a little while to come to terms with their timetable and the bus stops are not that close to the apartment if you have problems with walking. We had a wonderful holiday and would have no hesitate in booking this apartment again however we would have liked it to have been a bit closer to other amenities as explained. My only other final point would be in regards to the 'Care Takers' you felt that you were being closely observed for any indiscretions it felt very much like 'don't do this, don't do that policy ie. anything hanging over the balcony where a knock on the door would be looming - for any new bookings make sure you read the notice behind the front door before you too get a knock at door and abide by the rules yet on one occasion another apartments alarm was going for nearly 10 hours before he switched if off.

All in all we had a lovely holiday and the experience of booking this apartment enhanced the enjoyment. Good Luck to Norman and thank you.

wonderful apartment superb complex

Apartment is lovely on a superb complex,lovely pool, very well equipped apartment with lovely furnishings. Location is ideal base to explore Paphos regular bus service close by and runs quite late. Local taverna close by at 7 St Georges offering fantastic food and brilliant Meze. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to return here.

Special interest holidays:

Horse riding, go carting and cycling are all available at most times of the year. Many concerts are put on at the in front of the medieval fort at the Harbour. There are museums, galleries and historic sites, such as the Tomb of the Kings.

Coast/Beach:

There are attractive sandy beaches approximately 1.5km from the apartment, why not catch one of the frequent buses or take a 10 minute car drive and visit the famous Coral Bay beach.

Travel:

Buses from very near the apartment, will take to the Port area where, frequent and reliable Buses will take you too most places including Paphos Airport a 20 minute ride. Taxis are plentyfull and fairly cheap, or we can recommend local car hire companies.

Distances:

Paphos Harbour is approx 1.5km. Paphos old town centre approx 1km.

Further Details:

Nearest supermarket, shops and kiosk 650m. There are a Variety of great traditional restaurants and take aways within only 500m walk.
