This luxury apartment enjoys an open aspect over beautifully landscaped gardens. Within this small gated resort, there is a large heated pool and small children's/baby pool,a children's play area and a tennis court. Each of the spacious rooms in the apartment has been furnished to a high standard with underfloor heating and air conditioning. The kitchen, equipped with all modern appliances, opens via patio doors to a large balcony where there is a table and seating with space to relax and enjoy the views. This resort is an ideal base to relax or explore the Western Algarve.

About Maureen

After holidaying in Portugal for many years, My husband and I decided to buy a holiday apartment. We were looking for somewhere that would suit three generations and we found it when we discovered Lagos and Jardim da Mia Praia in 2004. Lagos combines history, culture, entertainment and restaurants while Jardim da Meia Praia,set in beautiful gardens had everything we wanted for a holiday destination-peaceful location, lovely views and convenient to beach, golf course and marina. Our family have enjoyed many holidays over the years and we now enjoy ensuring our guests have a wonderful time and wish to return.

As an early purchaser, we had the choice of the best located apartment with unrivalled views.The rooms and balconies are larger than those usually offered and the position is quiet and private.

Notes on accommodation: Family friendly resort, gated with security and cameras. Lovely aspect from all balconies. All furnishings individually chosen for comfort and quality. Home from home. To maintain the apartment in its present condition and ensure the comfort of all clients, No Smoking is permitted within the apartment. Outside: The views from this apartment are beautiful. The front of the apartment overlooks the tennis court, water features, and beyond to the pool and sun terraces. From the rear bedroom balcony views extend across fields to the Monchique mountains. The apartment is on the first floor in a block of only six. The large covered balcony adjoining the lounge and kitchen has a comfortable table and six chairs and two sunloungers. It enjoys the morning sunshine and provides shade from the heat in the afternoon. There is a clothes dryer on the smaller bedroom balcony. Destinos restaurant (open June to Sept) has a lovely outside terrace for dining and provides a range of snacks and meals. Check with restaurant for opening hours. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen changed once a week and towels twice a week.

A lovely apartment in a lovely location,pool heated which is great,always chairs available at pool, lovely gardens and a nice restaurant ,a very helpfull owner who will go out of her way to help you, all in all a great apartment which makes for a great holiday.

Excellent apartment

We have just returned from a week stay at the apartment, and it was one of the best holidays we have had.

On entry into the apartment complex, you immediately are struck by the beautiful landscaped gardens, together with the freshness of the immaculate buildings.

Having a lift was very welcome to transport our luggage in the usual Portugal sunshine.

The apartment was big and spacious, extremely tastefully furnished with everything you would require during your stay - including tea/coffee/water/milk and biscuits to set the scene for a great week.

The views from the large balcony were wonderful, and could accommodate sunbeds together with a large dining table and chairs.

The apartment reflected the quality of the facilities available on the complex. The children's pool and adult pool were spotless with sufficient sunbeds to accommodate all comfortably.

The food in the restaurant was of the highest standard, and extremely reasonably priced. We often made a point of leaving our main meal of the day until we returned back to the complex in the evening.

We are already planning our return visit, and would highly recommend the apartment to others.

Car: recommended


Nearest beach Meia Praia, 4km of sea and sand, is 5 mins drive, or about 15 min walk. Here there are several water activities. Visit the astonishing grotto's of Ponta da Piedade and the various sandy coves and cliff bays dotted along the coast from Lagos to Costa Vicenta.

The nearest airport is Faro which is less than 1 hour's drive from the resort. Car hire is recommended to explore the western coast and surrounding area.

There is also an excellent bus and train service from Faro to Lagos.


Lagos centre and marina are just a few minutes drive. Here you can wander through the maze of cobbled streets, enjoy the atmosphere of the modern marina, bars and restaurants, or shop at the local markets. For the young at heart, Lagos has a lively night life. Nearby family attractions include dolphin watching trips, Lagos Zoo and two water parks.

Silves and Monchique are less than an hours drive.

There are lots of restaurants offering Portuguese, Italian, Chinese or English menus at reasonable prices.Lagos centre has a real buzz in the evenings with street entertainers and musicians.Try some of the fish restaurants down at the harbour

There is a small supermarket under a mile and many larger ones in and around Lagos,including Aldi and Lidl.

The local farmers market on a Saturday morning provides good fresh produce and locally made preserves.The Mercado in the centre of Lagos sells fresh fish daily. The bigger markets are held on the first Saturday in the month on site opposite the sports centre.

Requested dates will be held for three days to enable booking of flights and forwarding of a 25% non-refundable deposit. Confirmation of booking will be sent on receipt of deposit. Full payment required 6 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £150 pounds paid prior to receipt of keys will be returned minus any damage costs following departure. Directions and further information will be sent on receipt of final payment.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible to enable access to cheaper
off-peak flights. The apartment may be booked on a daily basis with a minimum stay of 5/7 days.
