Apartment in Port Grimaud, Cote D'Azur, France - Peaceful Location in Delightful Marina

One bedroom apartment in the centre of Port Grimaud overlooking the beautiful marina and waterways. Port Grimaud has plenty of shops, restaurants and many bars. It also has its own beaches, free water taxis for guests, during the season, and it is possible to hire a boat. There is a large supermarket within walking distance. Attractions in the local area include a family fair ground, crazy golf and several water parks. Port Grimaud is a modern lagoon city with picturesque Provencal villages a short drive away including the medieval village of Grimaud with its ruined hilltop castle and narrow streets, Gassin and Ramatuelle with their spectacular views over the Gulf and beyond to the Alps. Historic Marseilles and cosmopolitan Nice are just over an hour away. Cannes, famous for its film festival, is just under an hours drive away along the famous 'Corniche' spectacular coast road. Monaco, Monte Carlo and Italy are also within driving distance.

Most Enjoyable Holiday in Beautiful Location

We had a most enjoyable fortnight in Mike & Margaret's apartment in Port Grimaud. It was like a home from home with all the mod cons. The bed and convertible sofa bed were very comfortable and provided comfortably for the four in our party. The location is very convenient to all amenities yet comfortably away from the very busy spots. There is a lovely view from the patio area. There is secure parking in a locked underground garage which also contains many items for the beach that guests are welcome to use. The apartment is very well equipped and has a good supply of books and games for the very rare wet evening. There are also lots of brochures detailing nearby attractions and the apartment booklet itself is very informative. Of very great convenience are free resident passes to use the water coach service around the resort. The nearest stop is a minute's walk away and it services all the main attractions including two lovely beaches. We arrived late on a Sunday night and we were met by Pam & Ron, who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. They were on hand any time they were needed and provided clean towels and linen at the end of the week. Overall, it was a most enjoyable stay and we intend to return next year.

Highly recommended

A clean and well decorated apartment having everything we needed for a relaxing 3 week holiday. It is in a prime position for either the Port or for touring the area. The private terrace affords a beautiful view over the waterways and the use of the residents water taxi is a wonderful bonus. We appreciated being met by the owners representatives and the delivery of clean linen every week. The owners have given serious consideration as to the comfort of their guests.

Thank you for a lovely holiday, Pam and Ron were very welcoming and helpful when we arrived and the apartment was ideal for the two of us as a great base. It's really good that it is within walking distance of the market square and also the beach. We would love to spend another holiday there and have already recommended it to friends.

Home from home!

Great apartment with a fantastic view of the canal. The property is clean, well-maintained and contains everything you would need for a short or lengthy stay. The owner's agent is very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on best places to eat and visit. Ideally situated for day trips, in close proximity of some good restaurants, beaches and supermarkets. Beautiful, peaceful and serene place for a holiday, would definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Our apartment is beautifully situated for a wonderful relaxing holiday. We have a manager who looks after the apartment on our behalf and this allows us to ensure that the apartment is kept in excellent order. We are very keen on our apartment and it is for us home from home. It is ideally situated to enable guests to watch boats entering and leaving the Port.

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is situated in the heart of Port Grimaud within walking distance of 2 sandy beaches that overlook St Tropez. The larger beach is family oriented with lots of activities and buzz whereas the smaller beach is quieter. Within a 15 minutes drive is the world famous Pampelonne Beach with its many water sports including diving, windsurfing and sailing.

Travel:

There are three airports. Hyeres airport (Toulon) is 45 minutes away and served by Ryanair. Nice and Marseille are just over an hour away and served by budget airlines and BA. Car hire is recommended from all airports. Other options are Motorail for those who wish to take their own car and Eurostar is now making inroads to the area.

Distances:

St Tropez is a 15 minute drive and St Maxime is a 20 minutes drive depending on season. Grasse is about an hour. The Verdon Gorge is about two hours away. The whole area is very beautiful and ideal for walks in the hinterland. There is a good bus service which covers much of the region.

Further Details:

Port Grimaud has gift shops, clothing shops, ice cream parlours, tabac, pharmacy, church and market square with a thriving weekly market on Sunday. There are banks and ATMs either in Port Grimaud, Cogolin (10 minutes) or at the supermarket. There is a post office in Port Grimaud.

A £150 non-refundable (per week) deposit is required at the time of booking. The final payment being made 8 weeks before commencement of holiday. Full amount is required if booking within 8 weeks of commencement. 5% reduction available for bookings longer than 1 week. Please contact the owner for pricing of out of season lets.

Changeover Day:
Saturday. Arrival time after 3pm and departure time by 10am. Some flexibility on changeover day may be possible, please ask when requesting further details.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week in UK Pounds or the equivalent in euros and includes electricity, towels, linen and cleaning. A 5% reduction is given on a second week. The apartment is available for long lets during the winter for periods of 4 weeks or more at a rate of £200 pw, with electricity consumed paid for before departure. Please telephone for more details.

Finally, no pets are allowed and smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment.
