You'll feel totally at home the minute you arrive at Casa Verano. This detached, modern villa, complete with purpose built BBQ and off-street parking, will be your very own tranquil retreat by your own private pool for the duration of your holiday. Well equipped and meticulously maintained, this bright and spacious, three-bedroom villa sleeps 6 in comfort plus lots of room for a cot in the master bedroom if required. It has everything you are likely to need for a comfortable and memorable stay including flat screen TV, CD player, DVD player and free wireless internet access. The villa is effectively serviced by air-conditioning units that provide a comfortable ambience throughout the villa with ceiling fans in both twin bed rooms for additional comfort. This welcoming villa is cleaned, prepared and maintained by the owners who will also be on hand to greet you on arrival and be available to provide information or assistance at any time during your holiday. Casa Verano is located in a particularly quiet residential area of Les Tres Cales, no more than 5 minutes' drive from the nearest Blue Flag beach and just 4km from L'Ametlla De Mar, one of the few remaining traditional Spanish fishing villages nestling in this unspoiled stretch of the Mediterranean. Here you will find an endless selection of superb Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops in addition to a large Mercadona supermarket conveniently located on the edge of the village. Within 5 minutes' walking distance from the villa there are three tapas bars / restaurants, a local supermarket, a pharmacy and a delightful little bakery. The much acclaimed Bambalina restaurant, set in a lovely rustic setting alongside a lovely children's play park, is only a few minutes walk from the villa. For those in pursuit of thrills and excitement, Universal Studios PortAventura Theme Park and Caribe Aquatic Park is only 30 mins away by train/car.

Notes on accommodation: Your own private villa with its own private pool is a wonderful way to relax and unwind. To ensure that you get around and get the best out of your holiday, we suggest that you hire a car. However, the villa is within easy walking distance of a well stocked supermarket (open during summer season only), pharmacy, bakery, tapas bars and restaurant. It is only a few minutes' walk to the TripAdvisor highly acclaimed Bambalina Restaurant and adjoining eco friendly play park. If you simply want to chill out and enjoy the attractions of the villa and your own private pool, a taxi service can be arranged for collection and return trips to airport as well as trips to L'Ametlla de Mar or local restaurants. The owners will be on hand to meet guests on arrival and will be available to provide any help or information required during holiday. Highchair and / or cot available on request. Explicit directions from airport to Les Tres Cales will be emailed on confirmation of travel arrangements. Outside: Private illuminated swimming pool. Purpose-built barbecue area. Outside garden furniture includes sun loungers and two reclining loungers. Table and 6 chairs provided for alfresco dining. Off-street car parking area. Less than 5 minute walk to the Trip Advisor highly acclaimed Bambalina Restaurant and the adjoining eco-friendly children's play park. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Pool Towels, Bath towels, hand towels and bed linen all included. The beds are all made up and ready and the villa is thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom before you arrive.

Excellent - well maintained villa

Stayed in this excellent Villa for a week in early June, just 1hour 30 minutes, by car, from Barcelona and serviced by a good bus and rail network, it is the perfect place to base yourself if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts, hotels and restaurants.

Situated about 40 minutes drive from Portadventura and Salou it is an idyllic place where you can get the best of both worlds - privacy, great restaurants nearby, first class beaches and still close to Portadventura, the great Aquopolis Waterpark, the lovely Salou and the mountains.

The villa itself is less than a 10 minute drive from glorious beaches. Plenty to do in the surrounding area from hiring bikes, kayaking and walking to doing day trips to some of the surrounding towns and villages.

We stayed in the villa with two young children, aged 3 and 4 and loved it. The pool is excellent and very well kept, we spent many hours jumping in and out and it was the perfect way to cool down as temperatures rose. The Villa itself is excellently maintained and incredibly clean, and homely with everything you need for cooking and having a bbq. It is also well resourced with children’s books and books for all kinds of readers and of course WIFI. Our children loved it and the park that was about 4 minutes walk from the Villa. We also loved the Restaurant Bambalina situated beside the park, which serves very nice food and is extremely child friendly.

All in all a great experience, the owner Eamonn Cox, was incredibly kind and provided us with very helpful local information and excellent directions from Barcelona airport, nothing was a bother to him, a total gentleman. would highly recommend.

We have just returned from a great holiday at this villa. Eamonn and Ann were the perfect hosts and provided us with a lovely welcome pack of groceries which was very much appreciated. The villa was spotless and was perfect for our family. The villa is in a residential location with a restaurant, pharmacy, supermarket and bakery nearby. There is also a playing area and football pitch just round the corner from the villa which the kids visited daily. The villa is not overlooked and though the pool was cool (it was the beginning of April after all) it did not stop us from enjoying a swim. We had hired a car at the airport which enabled us to not only visit the surrounding area with its lovely beaches and towns but allowed us to go further afield to Barcelona and Tarragona. I would thoroughly recommend this villa.Despite the WiFi not working when we arrived Eamonn went above and beyond to resolve this so making the kids very happy. The local restaurants and bars are also happy to provide passwords to use their WiFi. If you are looking for a very relaxing break away from the usual tourist haunts this is for you.

A fantastic holiday. Eaman and Ann greeted us so well and were so helpful and friendly. Also had pizzas, bottle of wine and water melon awaiting us on arrival which was very welcome. Villa and pool were spotless and the villa was very well equipped making it home from home. The villa is in a quiet road and although has villas in close proximity it was surprisingly un overlooked and peaceful. We went as a family of four including two teenagers who had a great time in the pool and took advantage of the wifi. Good sized garden with plenty of room to chill out and relax on the sun loungers. Took advantage of the BBQ some evenings and the veranda was a good size for alfresco dining. Were spoilt for choice for restaurants in L'Ametlla de Mar and had some lovely meals over looking the harbour. The local beaches were clean, unspoilt and not over crowded. The beds were comfortable and all in all we couldn’t fault our time at the villa.

Superb Villa Highly Recommended

A great villa that is perfect for families and is just as described on this listing.

The villa is positioned in a lovely quiet area but is close to beaches and the local supermarket/tapas bars.

The villa itself is immaculate and clean and has everything you would need for a holiday - everything you would need has been thought of and more. The outside space is large and very private and the pool is lovely and clean. The outside BBQ is great and the veranda makes for a perfect setting to enjoy a meal and drinks as the sun sets.

The owners are lovely and helpful and are keen to make sure everything is perfect for your stay and they don't disappoint. We arrived on a Sunday and they had provided a welcome pack of essentials for the first night as the supermarkets are closed on a Sunday - very thoughtful and welcomed.

The Tres Calas area is incredibly unspoilt and gives you a flavour of the 'real' Spain without being remote. The three local beaches are lovely and have gentle sloping beaches into the clear sea.

This is our second visit to this villa and we can't recommend it highly enough.

One of the greatest attractions of Les Tres Cales has to be its secluded, uncrowded Mediterranean beaches after which it takes its name – ‘The Three Coves’ they are truly beautiful and only a 5 min. drive from Casa Verano. Their fine golden sands and clean shallow waters continue to captivate holiday makers who visit year after year. Five of these coves have been awarded Blue Flag Beach status as have two other small, uncrowded beaches within 5km from the villa.


Ryanair operates regular services to and from Reus International Airport, offering regular flights from Cork, Dublin, Glasgow/Prestwick, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands Liverpool, Luton and Stansted. Jet 2 and FlyThomasCook.com also operate a range of services to Reus from several UK airports. Wide range of flights to El Prat Barcelona Airport are provided by Aer Lingus, British Airways, bmibaby, EasyJet, Jet2, Monarch, RyanAir and Vueling. Please check individual websites for details.


Hiring a car offers a lot more flexibility to explore the treasures of southern Catalonia. We will provide you with suggestions for car hire. Travel time by car: Reus Airport to Les Tres Cales - approximately 35 minutes. El Prat Barcelona Airport - approx. 1hr 30mins. Girona Airport - approx. 2hrs 30mins. Casa Verano is approx 4km from the beautiful, unspoilt fishing village of L'Ametlla De Mar. Here you will experience authentic 'Catalan' life in the heart of the narrow winding streets of this typical Catalan village.

Here in L’Ametlla de Mar / Les Tres Cales you will discover a little bit of Spain as it used to be – sand, sea and sun minus the maze of tower blocks and without the throngs of tourists – an ideal location for a truly enjoyable family holiday. THURSDAY is our preferred changeover day during July and August. During these months, the villa is rented from Thursday to Thursday and for full weeks only i.e. 7 days, 14 days, 21 days etc. At all other times, we will endeavour to accommodate your travel plans where possible. The villa is available from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
