Villa in Addaia, Menorca - Peaceful Location, Easy Walking Distance To Village Centre

Villa Ventada is a beautiful villa which has been furnished to a high standard. The villa is surrounded by a delightfully colourful Mediterranean-style garden and has a private swimming pool and adjacent terracing with partial views overlooking Addaia marina. There is a Weber BBQ unit for guests wishing to cook on the terrace.

There are 3 en suite bedrooms consisting of 1 double and two twin beds all rooms have separate air conditioning units. All bedrooms look towards the marina. The lounge is furnished with comfortable settees, seating for 6 guests, plus a dining table, chairs and sideboard.There is a shaded patio area with a table and chairs for alfresco dining, plus a comfortable ratan 2 seater setee and coffee table.

The villa is air conditioned room by room and has adjustable insect screens covering both windows and doors.

Large screen T.V. with the normal range of English speaking programmes, good internet connection and DVD player.

The kitchen is modern and spacious with electric hob, fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and various cooking aids.

The village centre is an easy 10 minute stroll away with a number of bars and restaurants serving tapas, Indian and English food, also a small food market selling fresh bread and provisions, a newspaper/ gift shop and boat chandlers. Attractive Addaia marina is very close by, approximately 5 minutes walk and offers a bar/restaurant and a relaxing view of the sound and boats moored nearby. There are 2 tennis courts in the village centre. Kayaks, bicycles and boats can be hired at the marina. A delightful coastal walk begins nearby.

Tourist Eco Tax is included in 2018 prices.

About Iris Evans

David and I are retired, although we always seem to be busy doing things. I was a nurse, but now work voluntarily part time at our local Arts Centre, which I love. We have 3 grown daughters with families of their own. We have our family villa close to our rental villas, this enables us to attend quickly to any emergencies if they arise. Most of the summer months are spent in Menorca managing Villa Ventada and Casa Cascada, with the help of our family. David and I enjoy playing bridge and travelling in the winter months and of course preparing for the next summer in the sun in Menorca.

Why Iris Evans chose Balearic Islands

It was on a normal family holiday in Menorca, 13 years ago we spotted a plot of land with magnificent views over Port Addaia, it was a dream, only a dream and returned to England. Christmas found us negotiating a price and to our delight it was accepted. There was permission for 3 houses. Over the course of the following 3 years our family house was completed plus Casa Cascada and Villa Ventada (the later two we intended to sell) but changed our minds and decided to holiday let. The villas are situated in a peaceful location with attractive properties around them, but within easy walking distance to the village and attractive marina of Addaia.

What makes this villa unique

Our villas are furnished to a high standard, the furnishing were transported from the UK including good quality beds. My husband and I act as Managing Agents and are on hand to deal with any emergencies that may arise. We have lots of help in the form of gardeners, cleaner/laundry ladies, pool maintenance and many other essential maintenance services. Our guests comfort and privacy is our main concern. I love Villa Ventada it has a lovely feel to it (having stayed there for a while) very private and relaxing.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is air conditioned room by room. Suitable for children. Stair gate provided if required, high chair, cot and baby changing mat, no extra charge. All doors/windows leading on to patio swimming pool are fitted with high security locks. Insect screen are fitted to most windows and doors. Outside: There is a private 8x4 (approx) swimming pool, adjacent terracing with sunloungers. The villa is surrounded by a delightful Mediterranean-style garden. A shaded patio area seats 6 people. There is also a barbecue. There is secure access via the rear garden to our other villa Casa Cascada which sleeps 8, making these two properties ideal for larger family groups of up to 14 guests Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, large sink, iron and ironing board. Fold up cloths dryer. Vaccum cleaner, brushes etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is prepared for your arrival. All linen and towels are provided and changed weekly when the villa is cleaned. Pool towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels. Other: Integral garage and off street parking.

Wonderful Villa

We had a truly lovely, relaxing holiday in Addaia and would recommend it to anyone. The villa itself (Villa Ventada) was very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard with ample kitchen utensils and crockery - more importantly the air conditioning was perfect as it was very hot when we arrived. David and Iris were perfect hosts, being very friendly, knowledgeable and available if required.

The Patio and swimming pool was very clean, well maintained and large enough to manoeuvre the sun loungers to track the sun during the day.

Addaia itself is a small village but all the local restaurants were lovely and although we hired a car we ate locally or had a BBQ in the villa most evenings. The nearby beach at Arenal d'en Castell is only a 5 minute drive and has a lovely sandy bay and plenty of facilities.

We've been on several holidays to mainland Spain, Majorca and Menorca and this is genuinely one of the areas/villas we would return to.

Hayling Island

Villa Ventada

This is the 3rd year we stayed in this beautiful villa, which has become our home from home. Iris and David have created a truly lovely holiday home on the delightful island of Menorca. We have holidayed in Menorca every summer for many years now and have stayed in a number of different properties, but feel we have found the one best suited for us in Villa Ventada. It is maintained to an extremely high standard, impeccably clean and well equipped. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that Iris and David live most of the summer in their villa in front of Villa Ventada and I know work very hard to ensure that it remains so. They are also delightful hosts-in no way intrusive, but there to recommend restaurants, shopping, excursions etc. The Villa is in a quiet residential area so would certainly not suit anyone looking for night life and/or a busy, bustling day. It has a wonderful, albeit partial, view of the small port of Addaia. Whilst it is not front-line, the villas in front are attractively built with typical Menorcan roof tiles and pretty gardens and there is still a very good view from the balcony down to the port below. The pool area is raised above the surrounding Mediterranean garden, which creates it's own oasis in which to relax. The Villa does not have immediate access to a beach so a car is recommended if you want to enjoy any of the many beautiful beaches Menorca has to offer. One of the nearest is Arenal d'en Castell which is large picturesque sandy bay with plenty of facilities-sun bed and brolly hire, beach bar, pedaloes etc. The centre of Addaia is no more than a 10 minute walk away for the able-bodied. The last bit is uphill. The centre has a small but amazingly well stocked Spar, a newsagents/gift shop , two bar/restaurants and an Indian. These are fine if you don't want to drive but I'd recommend trying some of the restaurants that are off the beaten track which are very good quality, so again a car is really essential. A car is also useful for getting to the large, cheaper supermarkets, trips to Mahon, Cuitadella ,Fornells and other sights worth visiting on the Island. I couldn't recommend this villa more highly to our friends and relatives who want a stress free, quiet relaxing holiday in comfortable accommodation on this pretty Island, but I'm almost hesitant to do so for fear that we'll lose , what we've almost come to view, as our own personal holiday home in the sun, so woe betide anyone who tries to book our weeks! Security. Please telephone owners regarding availability of villa 07803172634, we will telephone you if we recieve an enquiry that is ongoing, occasionally emails go astray.
A deposit of 20% will be required with booking. Final payment due 8 weeks prior to departure, keys to the villa will be handed over personally at the villa on arrival. Travel instructions will be sent upon receipt either by post or internet. A refundable deposit of £200 is requested to cover breakages and damage.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is normally on a Friday. Arrival after 2pm, departure by 10am. Special arrangements may be possible to match flights on other days, particularly in the low season.
