11 Quinta da Aldeia is a beautiful 2 bedroom townhouse situated in mature gardens with heated communal pool and children's pool. The complex is situated on the edge of the rural village of Figueira which has 2 restaurants and a mini-market. Quinta da Aldeia is close to the Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort. The nearest main town is historic Lagos which is now a lively cosmopolitan town with a fantastic marina. The house is close to many secluded unspoiled beaches and there are several beautiful beaches with good facilities, some with watersports within a 15 minute drive. A variety of water parks are accessible and Zoomarine is within a 40 mins drive. The local nature reserve provides beautiful scenery for walkers and the West Coast has fantastic beaches for surfers.

Activity and Interests


The nearest beach that can be reached on foot is Figueira beach and is approximately 25 mins walk away (no facilities). There are several beaches within 20 minutes driving distance along the coastline. The beach at Salema is within 5 minutes drive and has beautiful golden sands. Other beaches include Burgau, Luz, Lagos, Zavial and Ingrina. Beaches have restaurants with facilities as well as various watersports and bodyboarding opportunities. The West Coast has great surfing beaches.


The nearest airport is Faro which is served by both major airlines and several low-cost budget airlines. The airport is now approx. an hour away thanks to the construction of a new motorway. Car hire is recommended to make the most of the area and there are numerous car hire companies operating from Faro Airport. We can recommend a well-established company where pick-up is at the airport, not off site and their competitive rates are fully inclusive of insurance and an additional driver.


The local villages of Raposeira, Budens and Salema are within 5 minutes drive and have a selection of restaurants. The lively cosmopolitan town of Lagos is just 15 minutes drive away and features a wide variety of dining and shopping opportunities. The town is famous for its beautiful marina and historical port. Cabo St Vincente is the most westerly point in Europe and is 30 minutes drive away and the mountain town of Monchique with amazing views is approx 45 minutes drive away.

The local village of Figueira has 2 restaurants and a minimarket. There is a good sized supermarket, Ecomarche within a few minutes drive. Banks are available in Vila do Bispo and Lagos.

ATM machines are available at the Parque da Floresta reception and Ecomarche. There are several good restaurants within a short driving distance and recommendations are detailed in the house. Tennis, bowls and spa/beauty facilities are available at Parque da Floresta, a price list is available in the house or can be provided in advance if required. Parque da Floresta also operate a Children's Fun Club and details can be obtained from resort reception.

Organised walks and walking holidays are available locally. Figueira beach is within 20 mins walking distance (no facilities). The nearest beach with facilities is Salema which is 5 mins drive.

Other beaches within 20 mins drive with facilities and restaurant on the beach include Burgau, Zavial, Ingrina, Luz and Cabanas Velhas - full details are available in the house.

Booking Notes:
We operate on a deposit of 20% payable at the time of booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. The deposit and balance are payable by cheque or bank transfer. A confirmation will be sent on receipt of deposit.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is usually flexible. The house is available from 2pm on arrival day and departure is by 10:00 am.

Notes on prices:
Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds. We can also accept payment in euros. Prices are based on up to 4 people sharing. An additional fold up bed is available at a cost of £25 per week. A travel cot is also available, please enquire for details.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
