Apartment in Praia de Luz, Western Algarve, Portugal - Close to all Amenities, 2 Mins Walk to Beach

This bright and spacious apartment is located in the original part of the quiet village of Luz, It is not part of a purpose built holiday complex & is typically Portuguese. Luz is 5km away from the bustling fishing port and marina of Lagos & only 45 mins from Faro airport, also within easy reach of some of the most spectacular golf courses on the Algarve. The apartment is on three floors, reached by a stone spiral staircase. There are two bedrooms, both en-suite - one double and one twin (which can be made into a double), a modern fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops and a large dining/sitting room, with Sky TV, DVD player and ample comfortable seating. This leads on to a sheltered south facing balcony with magnificent views of the beach and sea. There are a variety of amenities close by, a lovely sandy beach and many excellent restaurants, shops and super-market. The Monchique Mountains and the West Coast (surfers paradise) are only a short drive away.

Special interest holidays:

Horse riding is available locally as well as quadbiking, jeep safaris, kayaking and mountain biking.

From the marina at Lagos you can go to see dolphins, caves and boat trips.


Praia da Luz beach is a fabulous sandy beach. There are several bars and cafes along the palm shaded promenade. This beautiful beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing, water sports are available in season. There are also rock pools and coastal walks. 30 minutes drive to the beautiful west coast beaches, popular with surfers.


Faro airport is less than 1 hour away. All our guests are met by our local representative (a British couple) and settled in to the apartment- they are on hand if any additional assistance is needed


The ancient port of Lagos is only 6km away, and offers boat trips including dolphin watching. A wide range of shopping and leisure activities. 30 minutes to Sagres, is the most westerly point of Europe.

  • Notes on accommodation: Oil filled radiators as required. No smoking within the property. Outside: we dont have our own pool but within 5 minutes walk there is a spa including indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and well equipped gym, offering special rates for holiday visitors. Many hotels will allow use of their pool if you buy a drink (info available in the apartment) There is also a hairdressers/nailbar, doctor, pharmacy, supermarket, newsagent, launderette and numerous cafés providing delicious coffee and cakes! Utility Room: some beach equipment for all the family in the hall cupboard. Plenty of storage space for surfboard etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen Towels and bedlinen are included and changed regularly. Beach towels are not included. Please note the apartment will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged prior to the holiday.
