Positioned on a small hill 5 minutes walk from the lake-front, nestled into the hillside, close to by woods and nature . Located in the the scenic region of San Siro and just 10 minutes from Menaggio, one of the most beautiful areas on the lake. Menaggio is one of the main ferry ports on the lake and provides access to the many wonderful towns and villages dotted along the lake-front. The modern comfortable apartment with a quality fit-out throughout and balcony area provides the ideal location to enjoy and explore the stunning lake region . The balcony area is ideal for dining al fresco. Ideally positioned to facilitate a relaxing break soaking up the incredible views with a cappucino or glass of vino from the balcony, or an adventurous break with hiking, watersports, golf, skiing, cycling all available on your door-step. Swimming pool loungers are provided. There is complimentary WiFi access.

Why Derek Kehoe chose Lake Como

We bought the apartment in 2008 and spent quite a bit of time fitting out the interior with furniture pieces from Maison & Chateau, Italian designed kitchen and high standard bathroom fittings. The small private 14 development is perfectly safe for kids.

We loved Lake Como from the moment we arrived. San Siro area in particular is great because it is so peaceful. There are also so many outdoor activities for all age-groups and this area via Cremia/Pianello/Dongo is a real mecca for all water-sport enthusiasts.

The reasonably priced food/coffee/ice-cream is wonderful with great restaurants in San Siro and the neighbouring villages of Pianello, Cremia and Dongo.

There are also newly builty stunning lake-fron walks (lit at night-time) from Laguna Beach in Pianello and also in Cremia

What makes this apartment unique

1. The amazing panoramic views of the village, lake and mountains and the Jewel of the Lake Varenna,Belaggio,Menaggio

7. Italians tolerance of kids in restaurants and public places

8. Proximity to top Italian and Swiss ski resorts in winter

9. Hiring a boat locally to visit the lovely towns and villages along the lake-front.

There is a private secure storage area for equipment such as bikes, surf gear and ski gear There is a gas heating system which will only be required during winter months. Outside: The apartment has a large terrace overlooking Bellagio/Varenna/Menaggio. The swimming pool is specifically built for the private use of apartment users in the small 12 unit development. Double doors lead onto the private balcony. There is also seating and loungers available for use at the pool area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels/ bed linens are included. Property is cleaned after each stay. Laundry and cleaning services are available at your request during your stay at your own cost. Beach towels are not provided - guests are advised to bring their own or purchase locally Other: There is a private secure storage area for equipment such as bikes, surf gear and ski gear along with the pool loungers. This is located under the apartments and is Garage No. 6 from the pool side with access via steps beside the pool.

Upon arrival we were told there was no electricity at the property. There was also no gas supply. We spent a week in darkness and with only cold water to use. After speaking to the complex manager we discovered that the supply had been disconnected some months previously and despite our booking the accommodation months in advance, the owner had obviously left it too late to reconnect.

We were then asked at the end of our stay to pay more than just the deposit. This experience very nearly ruined our stay and we would recommend that you don't book this accommodation. Appalling attitude displayed by the owner. Stay well away!

Changeover Day:
The changeover day is normally Saturday but flexibility may be offered in some cases outside peak season if required. Check-in time 4pm or earlier by arrangement. Latest check-out time 10.00am or later by arrangement.

Notes on prices:
A charge of 75 Euros applies to all reservations to cover local charges/utilities & cleaning. We do not request a security deposit on arrival as we operate at all times on a trust basis.
Wi-Fi is provided free of charge with unlimited usage. Linens and house towels are also provided free of charge.
A heating surcharge applies for winter bookings.

We accept payments by PayPal. 20% booking deposit. Balance 8 weeks prior to arrival. Winter heating fee applies from November to March.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
