Casa Cielo Alto 2 bed villa is totally private and secluded, not overlooked by any other properties or roads. Situated off the Torrox - Competa road high on Mount Torrox surrounded by old olive groves and vineyards with magnificent views of the impressive Sierras with Mount Maroma, surrounding hillside and down to the Mediterranean, and across to the coast of Africa.There is an 8x4m pool with large sun terrace, where from approx 9am there is uninterrupted sunshine all day until late evening, when you can sit and watch the amazing sunsets, and then with no light pollution, you see a wonderful night sky. The road off the A-7207 up to the property is accessible with any vehicle which is mainly tarmac that turns into a good track through vineyards and old olive groves. This villa is our holiday home and not purely a rental property so we ask that you treat it with respect and in view of this non smokers only please. Notes on accommodation: Ceiling fans in both bedrooms. Bedroom windows are fitted with fly screens, so can be left open all night. There are also portable fans for your use. We have a wood burning stove in the living room, logs can be bought locally or in the supermarkets. There is no safety fence around the pool, so children must be supervised at all times. A welcome pack is available if required, payment to be made to our caretakers. We have a very good mobile phone reception at our property so you can still be in contact with friends & family if you wish to. Pay as you go internet available. Plenty of parking space. Please note that this villa is available to non-smoking guests only thank you.No pets allowed. Hire car is essential. Please note that the pool is closed from mid October until 1st May. Outside: The large 8m x 4m pool is 1.5m deep and has built-in walk in steps and internal lights, for evening swimming. There is a very large terrace with outside lights where you can sit and enjoy the evenings after the sun has gone down. Patio furniture includes tables and chairs, sun loungers, parasols, coffee table & chairs. There is a chimenea BBQ for al fresco dining. There is also a shaded pergola with roll down blinds where you can sit and relax in the shade. Plenty of parking space. Utility Room: Washer / Dryer machine, iron & ironing board, pegs. Please note, that you will need to supply your own washing powder. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Towels & linen are included, please bring your own beach towels. The villa will be cleaned and prepared ready for you. The pool is cleaned & checked weekly

Torrox Costa lovely beaches, restaurants and supermarkets are a 20 min drive away with plenty of free parking. The picturesque village of Nerja is also a 20 mins drive, where there are many beautiful sandy beaches, loads of restaurants and shops plus the world famous Nerja Caves.


You can fly into either Malaga which is roughly 50 mins drive or Granada which is 1 hour 55 mins drive away. It is mostly motorway from both of these airports. Car hire is essential.

Casa Cielo Alto is situated up off the Torrox to Competa road, via a tarmac winding road and a short dirt track (less than 1 kl )


In addition to Torrox and Nerja, you can visit Competa which is a typical Andalucian whitewashed village and only 10 mins drive away inland. Here you can find many good restaurants, bars and shops. You can also go into the Sierra Tajeda national park from Competa with many beautiful walks, where you will very rarely meet anyone else. There is also the abandoned village of El Acebuchal (25 mins drive from villa) which is now being restored and has a bar that offers delicious food and tapas.

Further Details:

There is the AquaVelez Water park and a large covered shopping centre with hypermarket (Eroski) between the two towns of Velez Malaga and Torre del Mar off the E 15 - A 7 motorway junction 272 just 30 minute drive from the villa. There are markets in all the local towns and villages on different days of the week, details of which can be found in the villa. Great bargains to be had! Casa Cielo Alto is a haven for bird watches as many eagles and other birds of prey are regularly seen riding the thermals just above, Sky larks, Hoopoes, Bee Eaters and Red Legged Grouse also visit.
