Apartment in Puerto Andratx, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Very Peaceful Elevated Location, 5 Minutes From The Port

Set high above the port, this is a very special apartment which commands wonderful views. This is an upmarket location in the south west of Mallorca, not to be associated with the busier parts of the Island. There are 38 easily negotiable steps down to the apartment from the entrance and car parking area above. It is in a beautiful area, totally safe in its environ and on an excellently maintained site with plenty of greenery. Very few of the apartments are let out and indeed we do not want to overdo it. It is likely to appeal to a couple who are looking for peace and quiet and who might well be celebrating a special occasion or where one partner has arranged a surprise break! The apartment is fully fitted out and yet minimalist in its style. It is essentially one open plan area leading directly on to a private and secluded terrace which attracts the sun for most of the day and yet has ample scope for those who want to enjoy the shade! The new and very comfortable standard double bed is actually situated in the main area and there is not a separate bedroom. Come and enjoy a Spring or Summer Break!

The apartment is a very pleasant 40 minute easy drive, mostly easy dual carriageway, by car from Palma de Mallorca Airport

Why The Owner chose Andratx

A small and beautiful apartment set in idyllic surrounds. Its all about location. The views over the sea are quite something. Quiet and tranqil is the best description. Set within a small complex of very individual properties. I usually let it out for a maximum of about eight weeks a year. If you want to feel individual and not part of the holiday crowd then this is for you. The Port, quite small in itself, is a couple of miles away, a stunning fifteen minute walk downhill and a real challenge on the way back! Five minutes by car! It is such a beautiful Port and in addition to a small nucleus of somewhat expensive shops there are just so many tasteful restaurants and bars.

Notes on accommodation: A haven of peace! Self check in and check out. Check in and check out times flexible depending on times of guests before and after. Outside: Shared swimming pool and terrace which enjoys full sun from dawn until dusk, with truly magnificent sea views. It is a very quiet and upmarket site which comprises an enclave of twenty or so individual properties. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and hand towels, kitchen towels and bedlinen (all from The White Company!) included. Beach towels included! No maid service. Service cleans can be arranged during your stay if you so wish. Other: Terrace with John Lewis wrought iron garden table and comfortable cushioned chairs. No broadband in the apartment. Spanish SIM cards are easily available for Ipads and mobile phones etc and the reception is good. Plenty of wi-fi zones in The Port.

There are a couple of very small, quite insignificant beaches in The Port itself. Really one has to travel a further ten to fifteen minutes to a whole range of beaches.


Palma Airport. An easy 40 minutes by car or taxi along first class new roads. Can arrange private transfer which costs in the region of 45 Euros each way.


Puerto Andtrax is 3km. A very pleasant walk down from the apartment and a fairly strenuous walk back up! Five minutes at very most by car. Taxis to and from cost approx eight euros each way. Good bus service from the Port which runs along the coast to Palma.

Further Details:

Puerto Andratx is one of the most upmarket locations on the island. Extremely tasteful, many varied local restaurants and bars, with a slight emphasis on fish. Although very modern nowadays, the Port still boasts its own strong fishing fleet.

Some guests often look longingly at the sea and wish there was an easy way to get on the water for a few hours. There is! In the summer months there is a boat every day which takes people out for half a day or so. For a more personal trip there is a colleague this year who can take a couple out on his sailing boat at a very reasonable cost - he can also give basic sailing tuition - a great opportunity to taste the idea !

There is tennis a couple of kilometres away at the Monport Hotel - good hard courts - easy to book on a casual basis, all equipment provided! So no excuses!! Plus the Monport has day membership for sauna, beauty treatments etc.

A non-refundable 25% deposit will be required on booking with the balance due 4 weeks before departure. A breakages deposit of £50 will be required with your final payment which will be refunded once the keys have been returned and the apartment checked for breakages. Bookings should usually be for a maximum of 14 days and can be on a flexible basis, depending on what other bookings have been made, in terms of start and finish dates. We have kept our rental fees the same as the last year!

Changeover Day:
Flexible so as to allow you to obtain the best airline deals. Easijet are again reasonably competitive with their prices this year.

Notes on prices:
The prices are all inclusive. No hidden extras. You will find that many owners charge extra for cleaning - this is not the case here. Everything is included!
