Welcome to our apartment set in the stunning surroundings of vila sol spa golf resort. The apartment is equipped to 5* with free FAST wireless internet, combining both luxury & comfort set in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the pool & just a minutes’ walk away to the first class golf complex and clubhouse. Sunset villa apartments are 2 storeys high & our first floor situation is accessed directly from the private road, ensuring privacy & the advantage of having a huge roof terrace to sunbathe during the day or relax at night. Sunset villas are ideally located if you want an energetic holiday with plenty of activity and night life in vilamoura with its beautiful marina or if you just want to stay local in the lovely surroundings and chill out, making the most of the facilities on the resort including the complex of shops, bars & restaurants. A fabulous beach is within a 5 minute drive away & a selection of top class golf courses are a few minutes’ drive.

About the Owner

Our apartment is family owned and is a much loved and visited property. As a family we love our sport; in particular football & golf and have enjoyed playing on some amazing golf courses including Vila Sol’s.

We like to feel our apartment is ‘home from home’ and have furnished and provided equipment to reflect this – we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. We continually improve our apartment after each season and the equipment and the decoration reflects our contemporary preferences too.

After much deliberation we decided to invest in an apartment in the Algarve as we have always enjoyed our holidays to Portugal. The weather is mostly warm (& rarely too hot) all year round and flights are available all year too. Portuguese people are very friendly and we love the variety of fresh food served in the local restaurants close to us. Vila Sol is well placed for some lovely small towns too, such as Quarteira (very much a local’s town) and Loule with its lovely indoor food market. However, for more nightlife Vilamoura is 5-10 mins drive away. A beautiful beach with a lovely beach bar is only 5 mins drive too. An added bonus is the transfer time of around 20 minutes from Faro Airport and with an average 2 ½ hour flight you can be door to door in 6-7 hours from the UK!

Nearest Airport : Faro at 15 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Praia de Almargem at 3 Kilometres Car: recommended


The nearest beach is located is Praia de Almargem near Quarteira, where the sandy beach stretches over 3km and is just a 5 minute drive from the apartment. This beach has a fantastic bar/restaurant and in the summer months has sun beds/awning for rental.


The apartment is 20-25 mins drive away from Faro airport. A taxi transfer, which we can arrange costs approximately 25-35€ each way. Lisbon and Sevilla airport in Spain are approx a 2 hour drive from The Algarve and often offer competitive fare’s. Hire cars start at around £75 for 1 week and rise to around £150 in peak season for 5 door cars (Fiesta, Peugeot 207 etc).


The apartment is just 5 mins drive (approx 8€ taxi fare) from Vilamoura Marina, where you will find a Casino, shops a vast amount of bars and restaurants. Quarteira is a 5 minutes drive, with a lovely promenade and beautiful beach, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops, markets etc. Louie is around 12 minutes drive, with a castle, shops and lovely indoor and outdoor food/fish market. Silves also an historic Moorish Town is around 30 minutes drive, a lovely inland town, with plenty to see.

Further Details:

There are a good amount of places to eat and drink on Vila Sol. Including a Bistro Wine bar, Restaurant, small shop, coffee house and bakery, Oscars pub showing UK & European Football matches and a cash ATM are all available within Vila Sol. There are also numerous facilities provided by the Pestana Vila Sol Hotel, some at cost. The Golf Club serves good quality food and drinks and several televisions shows many sports events such as Golf and Football. Our Vila Sol owners discount card is made available to guests, and provides generous discount. (Please contact for details).

On our property search in the Algarve we found the apartments on Sunset Villas were far superior. They’re 2 storey's high, large and bright with fantastic floor space with the added bonus of a roof terrace too. On reflection we felt lucky we chose our apartment on the smaller, quieter and newly built side of Sunset Villas. We are also only a 2 minute walk from the golf course and hotel, both having lovely indoor and outdoor bar areas, with top class restaurants too. Our 1st floor apartment, with access from the private road, provides privacy from the pool area, although from the balcony, bedroom and roof terrace we overlook the pool area, which is lovely when lit up at night time. Parking is right outside the apartment.

  • Notes on accommodation: This is a no-smoking apartment. No pets allowed. Fully air-conditioned / heated. Apartments next door may also be available to rent for larger parties or separate families. Outside: The apartment outside space includes a large well lit balcony accessed by 2 sets of patio doors from the living area, including table and chairs to seat 6 people with parasol.Large roof terrace is accessed from the stairs on the balcony with views over the large pool and gardens and looking towards mountains and Vila Sol Golf Course. Comfortable outdoor furniture and 4 sun loungers are provided to ensure you can relax, with blinds fitted on the pergola roof terrace to protect you from the sun should you fancy a lazy day. There is a Weber Kettle BBQ and equipment for your use. Safety is provided by gates at the top and bottom of the roof terrace and extra lighting installed. The pool area is grassed with pine trees, shrubs and lemon trees around the pool area. There is a large un-manned swimming pool and also a shallow children’s pool too. Our complex includes the private use of a paddle tennis court, situated within the pool complex. Utility Room: Siemenns Washing machine, ironing board, iron and clothes airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment is cleaned with linen change once a week. This can be increased if required at an extra cost. Excellent quality linen is provided with colour coordinated bed linen, with bath sheets, hand towels, tea towels all provided. Other: Free wireless internet. A selection of DVDs, books, CDs and games are provided for your entertainment. A well lit hallway with mirror and console table. Built in storage cupboard including, first aid, European plugs and a set of golf clubs for your use.
