Our cozy 150 year old ex-fisherman's cottage. A great place to come home to in summer with 2 outside dining/seating areas or in winter with its cozy log burner Our 3 bedroom cottage has undergone a meticulous program of works and now offers comfortable accommodation for 5 people. Well located for many attractions. Within easy walking distance to the village with the very popular Cliff Top Cafe - great for breakfast or lunch, White Horse pub and restaurant as well as the stunning Tudor Sea Marge Hotel with Cliff top beer garden.

Cottage in Overstrand

This cottage was lovely. Clean and cosy and ideally located in the village of Overstrand, very close to the beach with it's lovely sands and cliff top walks. It was a real home from home with everything you could need and a very comfortable bed! It was great to be able to sit in front of a roaring fire in the evening and our dog loved it, especially being able to go for long walks on the beach. It was a convenient location for travelling around, being just a 2 mile walk along the beach into Cromer. There's a fab cliff top cafe serving great food and lovely hot chocolate after a breezy walk along the cliffs! Also a shed selling fresh, locally caught, dressed crabs and lobster...delicious! There is also a hotel and a pub serving food and drink and a great local shop and post office which sells most things you could need. Everyone is very friendly and everywhere was spotlessly clean. All in all a great place for a relaxing, chilled out, home from home, break.

If you are looking for a peaceful seaside village then look no further.The location of the cottage is perfect for families as it is so close to the beach.Take the children crabbing from nearby Cromer pier. Alternatively for walkers there is a plethora of walking trails in the area-long walks can be taken beside the sea or inland.Maybe the cyclists amongst you will enjoy cycling from the cottage on to the" quiet lanes".

The nearest airport is Norwich (17 miles) with regular flights from Amsterdam and regional airports within the UK. Although not essential a car is recommended to make the most of your stay (unrestricted on road parking is nearby).

Distances:

Cromer 1½ mile, the beautiful Cathedral City of Norwich 17 Miles, Cromer Zoo, Muckleborough Collection, Shire Horse Centre, Dinosaur Park, North Norfolk Steam railway, Bure Valley steam railway, Blickling and Felbrigg Halls (NT), Sheringham Park (NT), seal colonies at Morston and Blakeney and the Norfolk Broads as well as unspoilt North Norfolk villages are all within easy reach.

Further Details:

Within easy walking distance in the village are the very popular Cliff Top Cafe - great for breakfast or lunch, recently completely refurbished White Horse Pub and Restaurant and the stunning Tudor Sea Marge Hotel with Cliff top beer garden. Cromer is a short drive and offers a wide range of restaurants, pubs and entertainment.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday, please vacate by 10am, arrival after 3pm please. Flexible outside of peak weeks.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Short breaks are for 3 or 4 nights (Friday- Monday or Monday-Thursday) and are charged at a rate of 60% of the weekly fee. Short breaks are available between October and March excluding the school holidays.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Centrally heated, ideal location for families with children (beach close), easy walk to pub and restaurants, good local walks including cliff top walk to Cromer. Great to come home to for a BBQ after a day on the beach or curl up in front of the log burner on cooler winter days. Please note that we do have internet access at the cottage but there is no mobile phone coverage. Please do not smoke inside the cottage. Outside: Sunny South facing front patio with furniture and BBQ area with French doors straight off the kitchen. There is also a totally enclosed small rear courtyard through living room french doors. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property will be thoroughly cleaned between clients. Bedlinen is included in the price but please bring your own towels.
