We have owned our condo at beautiful Bahama Bay since 2007. We fell in love with the resort on our very first family holiday and now visit every year.

Just returned from 17 nights in this lovely condo. It was our first visit to Orlando and it was a perfect base to enjoy Disney, Universal and all that Orlando has to offer. The condo was very clean and fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. Bahama Bay itself was beautiful with lovely swimming pools and immaculately maintained. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants on US192 with Walmart and Publix supermarkets both nearby. Martin was a great host and would have no hesitation in recommending this condo to anyone.
Lovely Base For All That Is Orlando
Wanted a nice relaxing but quality base for my wife and I along with our 12 year old son for our first visit to Orlando - the idea was to stay near but not on top of the major attractions. Bahama Bay ticked all the boxes - 10 mins to Disney and 20 mins to Universal, a quiet condo development with good pools , fitness suite, spa and a restaurant bar on site. This condo was well equipped and very comfortable with cable TV, wifi and the back patio area was private. Nearby within a 5 min drive are loads of eating options and a couple of supermarkets, gas stations and banks (Walmart is only a few mins drive away). Loves our stay and would definitely stay here again. Martin was a great host and very good with communications etc. The condo is fully managed and help with anything was only. 2 mins walk or a phone call away at the club house reception.
Beautiful property, perfectly maintained.
Spent 23 nights at this beautiful two bedroom Condo. It was exactly what we had hoped for and come to expect from Bahama Bay. The unit was clean, well maintained and very spacious for our group of four. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need for food preparation and an excellent supply of Dishes, Cutlery, Glasses etc. The unit was centrally located on the resort, close to the Pool, Beach and Tradewinds Restaurant. This was our fourth stay at Bahama Bay, the first time however booking directly from the owner. We were 100% pleased with our dealings with Martin. Would highly reccommend this unit and this owner.
We have just returned from 3 weeks in Bahama Bay. We booked directly with the owner Martin and check in/check out couldn't have been smoother. Unfortunately the Florida weather was much hotter than normal for September, but the condo was always a cool haven with superb air conditioning. Everything was in working order and spotlessly clean. We have stayed in Bahama Bay before and really preferred the layout and aspect of this unit. The first few nights it rained a lot and we had an influx of the tiny lizards which are common in Florida. They were only on the netting of the Lanai and within 10 minutes of reporting this to reception a gentleman arrived, caught them and sprayed the whole Lanai with repellent ... a superb service for a coward like me! We used the gym regularly which is very well equipped and air conditioned. The location is very convenient for shops, restaurants and golf courses (our main interest) The new Westside Blvd link from US192 to US27 cuts out a lot of traffic lights and the journey from I4 is even quicker if Formosa Gardens/Funie Steed Road is used. As regular visitors to the area, we have found our home from home in Davenport and will definitely be back.
First Florida Holiday
We've used Owners direct for many of our holiday over the last few years and stayed at some great places. We arranged this through the owner and Martin was very friendly and helpful, sending us a guide to the area and suggestions for things our kids might like.
First of all the resort, Bahama Bay is a closed resort which is beautifully clean and well kept. Everyone was really friendly and we used the pools often, and they were never that crowded even in peak times. The grounds are great and there are lots of nice walks around the complex and the lakes. Lots of nature too, especially around the lakes. There is a little shop on site with a few basics but there are supermarkets about ten minutes away - we preferred the nearby Walmart which was bigger and better value than all the Publix supermarkets you see.
The on site restaurant is called Tradewinds and is near the biggest pool, it's a nice friendly place and the food is not bad if you don't want to drive. We ate there about three times, but there are nicer places a few minutes drive away.
The property itself was immaculate, everything was clean and in working order. It's exactly as described in the listing, and you can see it's been well looked after. The air con works great and there's a TV with lots of different channels. It's also got a DVD player which was useful as we were given a complimentary DVD card when we booked in. There's nice seating area at the back where we ate most of our meals, it's netted to protect you from all the bugs.
The resort is a great place for exploring the area and the theme parks. It was about 25 minutes to Universal and about 15 to the Disney parks I think. You definitely need a car here as it's a little off the main road, I'd recommend getting a Sat Nav as well - made driving very easy.
It's very quiet, there was little noise and yet your only a few minutes away to the theme parks and other attractions. We particularly enjoyed visiting a national park called Lake Louisa which is only ten minutes away by car - you can hire canoes at the entrance for a few dollars. It's a very relaxing spot and didn't get crowded at all.
We really enjoyed our holiday here and had a wonderful time. Can definitely recommend this property and the resort, it's ideal for a family holiday.
a great location
This a great location for all the parks and attractions as well as the Gulf beaches only 90 minutes away.
Whilst the resort provides plenty of activities wotrh pools, fishing lake gym and a nature trail.
The Condos have all mod cons and are spacious. We strongly recommend this and will return again soon..
Activity and Interests
Nearest beach is Cocoa beach, a 1 hour drive. Alternatively you can reach the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico in 2 hours. Caladesi Island is a must for beach/wildlife lovers - voted #1 in 'America's Best Beaches'.
Orlando International 30 mins. Orlando Sanford approx 1 hour. We strongly recommend use of a hire car.
Walt Disney area 3.5 miles. Seaworld 15 miles. Universal Studios 20 miles.
US192, 5 mins away and has an abundance of family eating options. We can recommend a number of 'high end' but amazingly inexpensive eateries not normally associated with Orlando! Publix supermarket, bank, gas station - all 5 mins.
