The pool terrace offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. 15 mins away there is the bustling town of Gandia and Playa de Gandia which has many traditional Spanish restaurants, many shops and its famous award winning golden beaches. 25 mins to the fantastic golf course 'Oliva Nova Golf' designed by Sevi Balesteros.

We have bought the villa and are redoing the kitchen and bathrooms in februari and march 2017.

Arrived at night and placed looked beautiful pool lights etc, to wake in the morning like being in paradise so tranquil. Plenty to do in Gandia and the beach is amazing, would definitely recommend.

Excellent accommodation really clean and well looked after any help or advice Mark and Faye were most helpful. Large pool for a villa and great facilities. Will miss the bbqs, paella and the all in all a fantastic holiday.

Special interest holidays:

Excellent climbs in Gandia area especially for novice / intermediate highly regarded see rockfax. Mountain biking and road cycling is also very popular in this area.

Coast/Beach:

Glorious Gandia beach is a 15 min drive away and is considered a fantastic beach for water sports such as windsurfing and sailing. Most local beaches offer water sports including water skiing, surfing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing and diving

Travel:

The nearest airport is Valencia which is 1 hour away. Alicante is approx 1 hours 20 mins away. Car hire is required.

Benidorm 45 mins.

Distances:

There are 3 traditional spanish bars in the local village 3 or 4 mins by car from the villa offering excellent food and tapas or you may just want to sit outside and admire the wonderfull scenery.

Further Details:

Gandia has many attractions. You can wonder around the pretty streets and shop, or relax in one of many tapas bars. There are also plenty of supermarkets. There is a sailing club and harbour. Marxuquera itself is renowned for its natural beauty ideal for walking, hiking, rock climbing, mountain and road biking and also horse riding. Benidorm is 45 mins drive away where you can enjoy both the old town and new both offering a diversity of local culture. In Valencia is the L'Oceanographic and Museum of Science amongst many other regional attractions. Horse riding stables can be located next to Oliva Nova Golf Course also and there is a go-kart track nearby. Within 30 - 45 mins drive you can visit Vergel Safari Park, Mundomar Sea World, Terra Mittica Theme Park or Aqualandia Water Park. Alternatively you could visit Ibiza on a trip from Denia port, a 25 minute drive away. There are other boat trips to be enjoyed, which travel up and down the coast and to nearby islands.

The villa complex is split into 2 houses. We live in one of them and have our own private area. Outside: The outer area consists of a large 10m x 5m pool with terrace that has 6 sun loungers and a large terrace area that has 2 large timber tables each seating 8 people along with accompanying parasol. There is a separate lower level garden area with a brick barbecue, large stone table with bench seats and shaded by bamboo covered pagoda. The villa boasts a large tennis court and the following activities are available. Tennis, tablefootball, pub style pool table, darts and garden. There is car parking spaces for 3 cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen Towels and linen included and exchanged weekly on request. Beach towels included.

A perfectly peaceful retreat!

We have just returned from our holiday at Villa Tranquillo and can honesty say that for a holiday that spanned 3 generations, all have said it was one of their favourite holidays ever!

With beautiful views in every diection and a house with every element thought through, so your stay is comfortable, I would highly recommend.

Facilities mean everyone has something to enjoy, beautiful pool, tennis, billiards, darts etc. To relaxing seating areas in every shady corner. Thank you so much to Irma and Joost for making sure we enjoyed every moment.

Very quiet location for 2 families with teenage children - you can make as much noise as you like!

We were a little concerned that no one had reviewed the villa prior to our stay but we need not have have worried. Mark the owner and the second Mark who looks after the villa during your stay made the whole experience most enjoyable.

A car is a must - the nearest bar / restaurant is 1.5km away and the nearest big supermarket around 5km. We tended to use the excellent BBQ area rather than eat out, and there are numerous seating areas. However we did venture to El Coto the local restaurant/bar provides good local cuisine and is excellent value for money. 8 of us ate for under 150 euros including drinks.

The tennis court, pool table and excellent pool kept the kids entertained for hours - with the weather in the mid 30s we spent all day outside and did trek to the local beaches about 15 minutes away a couple of times. With temps that high outside you need to manage the temp inside the house carefully during the day to ensure you are able to sleep overnight. There is aircon in the lounge which is where the kids decided to sleep, which meant we were able to double up the fans for the adults upstairs and found this to be a very comfortable solution.

The kitchen is pretty well equipped and we only found ourselves to be short of 1 or 2 pieces of cutlery but there are plastic cups for out door drinks which makes a lot of sense.

We have stayed in many villas over the years and I would summarise this as well equipped although not luxurious but probably one of the best value for money villas we have stayed in.
