"We are finding it very hard to think of any bad comments to make about Can Ganesha!

We thought it was lovely and very well equiped and comfortable.

We appreciated the generous supply of towels and the attention to providing us with essentials on our arrival. It has a nice garden and was peaceful. Despite being on a housing development it felt private and had nice views towards the mountain.

Can Ganesha was a super property really stylish and relaxed!

Wonderful, tranquil, perfectly kept Villa

Gonzalo is the perfect host/owner - everything provided that you could need - including a welcome shopping pack with all the essentials which we did not expect ! The property has lots of different areas/zones to escape to and we loved every minute. Kept to a high standard. Lovely Valdemosa is just a 5-min drive away for daily essentials/shops/sights/restaurants etc. We recommend you stock-up with major items at Carrefour before you arrive though as local convenience store is a little limited in choice. Amazing views from the Tower on Hill just a few mins walk away - perfect spot for sundowners! Lazy days by the pool, endless fun with the kids - the badminton was a welcome bonus too. We would have no hesitation to stay here again - rarely do we stay at the same place twice but we would seriously consider making it an exception in this case. Ideal for peace and tranquility & the slightly cooler mountains is a very welcome bonus too in the summer aswell. Villa location is too far away to walk to anywhere so a car is essential which is not necessarily an issue for many - all depending on needs.

We felt ourselves at home since the first minute we arrived due to the warm welcome of Suzana and Gonzalo. It was our second stay at Can Ganesha and it will not be our last! The house is very comfortable and clean with everything you could possibly need during your stay and the garden such as the pool are just a dream where you can relax and forget the world outside. We loved it such as the Tramuntana mountains and the little town of Valldemossa.

Fantastic Villa, Fantastic Location

We selected this villa for our first family visit to Mallorca initially because of the pictures of the villa.

Upon arrival we were not disappointed.

We arrived in Palma around midday and knew from our pre-visit emails with Gonzalo that we could not get into the villa until 4, so we made our way to the lovely town of Valldemossa. We phoned Susanna who was our contact and she said we could come early which was a great bonus.

Susanna met us at the villa and showed us around including the lovely welcome pack of food goodies which meant we didnt need to head to the shops straight away.

Susanna kept in contact with us throughout the stay to make sure everything was ok and to let us know when the cleaners would come, and met us again when we left.

The villa is superb. It is spacious and set in a large garden with lots of options for sitting and eating places to make the most of the sun or the shade.

The pool is a good size with a shallow lounging area one end and a good length for a proper swim (I'd guess about 7 or 8 metres long). If you have small children it is worth noting that the pool is open and quite close to the doors so you may want to supervise them if they are not good swimmers. It's also worth noting that the shallow part of the main pool is around 1.1m deep which might be too deep for children of 5 or under.

The villa is in 2 zones - a living zone and a sleeping zone. The living zone has a well equipped kitchen with every gadget and tool you could need. It also has a large table and sofa. The sleeping zone is 3 bedrooms, each with a good sized double bed made from 2 singles pushed together so you can configure it to suit your needs.

The villa is located on a high-end urbanization overlooking the north-west coast. The houses are not packed in and the location was quiet. There is a footpath down to a lovely viewing area which gives great views of the western coast - it has great sunsets! On the other side of the urbanisation there is a lookout tower - well worth the walk for the fantastic views.

As for the area, Valldemossa is a really pretty town set on the side of the mountains. It has quaint cobbled streets with some interesting shops and galleries. The town also has the monastry that Frederic Chopin famously stayed in as well as a lovely church. The villa is around 4km from the town, so if you want to go out for a meal then a car is a must.

The villa would be somewhere we'd choose again.

Lovely villa

This is a lovely spacious villa . The pool is good size and there are lots of loungers outside so you can be in the shade or the sun as you choose .

You are a five minute drive from Valldemossa which is charming and within easy reach of Deia and Soller . We had a good meal at Can Costa restaurant which is up the hill .

Calle Deia where the Night Manager was filmed is a very pretty cove but get there about 11 to get a parking space .

We liked to cat who hangs out in the garden .

Susanna and Gonzalo were both helpful and friendly .

Fantastic villa and service

Really enjoyed our stay at this fantastic modern villa. Great location for exploring the West Coast and a simple 15-20 minute drive to the airport / Palma.

The villa was well maintained, clean and had all the household items to make our stay very enjoyable.

Special interest holidays:

Ideal scenery and surroundings for walkers, hikers and cycling. Very popular for birdwatchers and nature lovers.Classical concerts and events held all year round, specially during spring & summer during the Chopin Festival. Very interesting restaurants & gastronomy in the area and neighbouring villages. Always something to see, in spring the almond blossom season, mushroom picking in autumn, visits to the Ports of Valldemossa, Deia, Lluch Alcari, Soller and Banyalbufar.


The property is 30 minutes from the airport, with main road access and an easy drive. Car hire recommended, to also be able to enjoy the lovely villages set around the Sierra de Tramuntana, Deia, Lluch Alcari, Banyalbufar, Esporles & Soller with it's Port and of course enjoy a unique sunset at the Port of Valldemossa.


3 minutes driving to the Village of Valldemossa, 10 minutes to the village of Deiá, 20 minutes into the Capital Palma, 25 minutes to Soller, 25 minutes Puerto Soller, 10 minutes to the Port of Valldemossa, 20 minutes to the Cala/port of Deiá and Lluch Alcari coves.

The picturesque village of Valldemossa, famed for its monastery where Chopin and Georges Sand stayed in 1838, is one of the most beautiful villages on the island, surrounded by spectacular mountain views of the Serra Tramuntana range. And it has easy access to all parts of the island. There are many restaurants in all price ranges, from the good value for money, Italian Vesubio, to the exclusive Valldemossa Hotel. There is also an excellent seafood restaurant in the Port. There is a small well stocked supermarket, excellent bakers/patisseries, banks, pharmacy and other stores selling clothing, artwork and gifts. Sundays there is a Market. The romantic old Valldemossa Monastery, the Palace of King Sancho, Michael Douglas's Costa Nord, and the new Coll Bardolet Cultural Center, provide interesting excursions and art exhibition, along with Miramar and Son Marroig 4/5 kms. away. The very interesting La Granja, showing life on a country estate, is a must, and only a 15 min drive to Esporlas. At Soller you can take the 'old train' down to Palma, and the tram down to the Port. There are also boat trips to the incredible Sa Calobra gorge (Torrente de Pareis) and along the coast to Deya/Valldemossa. Deia, once home to the poet Robert Graves, is a mere 10 mins. drive and abounds with restaurants, the famous La Residencia Hotel, and a bohemian nightlife. There are many classical and jazz concerts in both villages, including the wonderful Sunset Concerts in Son Marroig during the summer months, and the now famous Chopin Piano Festival during August, held in the Cloisters of the Monastery.

For those interested in nature, the garden and area abounds with birds and wildlife. Hiking in our wonderful mountains is a pleasure in store, also 'rock climbing' excursions just down the road.

Deia is one of the jewels of the Mediterranean, one of those places that the visitor will never forget - the colours, the smells and the sounds. Deià is renowned for its artists, music.
